  1. I like them too. Here you can fly almost everything, it is so wonderfully confusing.
  2. So, I looked at the new Superior versalite Augments 46. I'm pretty good at crafting and soon have 30 companions on level 50. I cannot get less than 9 million of the costs per piece, and they are currently traded at 3.7 million in the Trade Network. Tendency declining. The same with the MK-10 kit. Material input is about 80.00, you get it in the trading Network for 26,000. Is there anything else lucrative? Also in other professions, I have them all at the best level.
  3. The Devs are working hard to undo everything that was good about the big patch.
  4. No, it's far from enough. In the beginning only half of the ships available today existed, there were only 5 enough. As a solo pilot, I would like to have 10 or more in order to have the right one for every situation.
  5. I love Battlestar Galactica, Babylon 5 and many other SF. SW is at the bottom of the list, it's not a real SF, more like fantasy. I was very pleased to hear that BW is planning a Mass Effect MMO and was very disappointed that it became SW. So no, I'm not a SW fan, it's just the only available MMO with a little SF.
  6. Do we still wonder what happens to the Conquest today?
  7. Dear Verain, this is a game, not a competitive sport. This is about everyone having as much fun as possible and not about some people being able to satisfy their EGO. If a few people rob the majority of the fun, it must be limited. With anti elitist greetings your Magira. ^^
  8. There are several solutions to the problem. The easiest way is to solve the problem by matchmaking. The matchmaker always faces a premade with another. That worked quite well in GW2, but there are certainly 50x more people playing PVP there than here playing GSF. Here in SWTOR I doubt that the problem can be solved by matchmaking without long waiting times. Prohibition of Premades: In GW2 it is now so in the Rated, Arenanet has let vote among all PVP players, 80% were for the ban. (btw: I voted against) Then you need a gamemode for the group players. They also want to play and have the right to do so. Here are not enough players for a separate group mode. A handicap system. Similar to golf, pre-mades or single players with very good scores get a handicap. This is the only thing that could work without long waiting times and everyone can continue to play as they want.
  9. I know the problem. I am now over 60 and my reflexes are not the best anymore. I don't like the switchover either, although you have more time with the GS than with a Star Guard. That's why I try to keep everything as simple as possible. Tensorscout, Minelayer in Domination, GS and the Clarion (with Remote Slicing) in TDM. I can handle the Pike quite well, too. And stay away from directional shields when the reaction is not so good.
  10. BW has done almost everything right, a little bit of fine tuning, but on the great majority it fits. I haven't had that much fun in GSF for a long time.
  11. I find it interesting. Recently there has been a very big GSF update (sometimes 10 times as much as the utility update here) and they did pretty much everything right. Some fine tuning is still necessary, but you have noticed that there is a team behind every change, that GSF knows exactly. Here at Ground PVP they haven't been fixed for years, it's getting worse and worse. I can only think of two explanations. Either there is simply no competent PVP team or it is not possible to balance PVE and PVP at the same time. They don't have the latter problem with GSF, which (fortunately) doesn't exist in PVE.

No. This is an online game. You must be able to connect with EVERYONE, not just your clan.
  13. Yep, experimenting, your builds too, of course, thx for sharing. Now I flew a little bit with the normal lasers, I am not very enthusiastic, I go back to the burst lasers. Disto, Directional and Feedback all have their own strengths, feedback is not so bad now and very trollish. I've always flown with the Interdiction Missiles, I've never used the clusters anyway. I like it when a Battelscout suddenly changes its mobility in a bomber. I often fly worse things when they are more trollish. I'm also experimenting with the Koigran Turn, Power Dive is suicide by me and with the retros I tend also often to shoot myself. All in all, the situation doesn't look as bad as I thought at first. I have much Fun with my Condor.
  14. Well, good points. Maybe I should try the other lasers and use directional shields.
  15. So, now I got to play my "old" ships. Two of them were hit hard. My minelayer: Actually, even not much changed. The slightly higher bleeding is compensated by the better hydro. But: Up to now it was mainly battlescouts that have taken me apart in seconds, but now also all ships are equipped with Rapid Lasers. True nightmares are the ships with EMP (Clarion, Nova). Even a spearpoint is now a danger. My survival under Sat has been halved, if not more. Switching to overcharge would mean giving up the Beacon, without shield power converter brings overcharge quite little. My little GS (Condor): Hit three times with Burst Laser, Disto and Slug. And yes, all this together is clearly noticeable.
  16. It should also be remembered that SWTOR has two completely different PVP modes. Ground and Space PVP (GSF). I play both and can't complain about diversion. Much more pure ground PVP players should also try Space PVP, it is better after the big patch than ever. What is missing here is rather matchmaking and Open PVP. For Open PVP I also play GW2, PVP I play ONLY here.
  17. There will never be only ONE meta, the differences between solo flying in a PUG team and flying in a Premade group are too big. Much of what makes sense in the group is completely pointless in a PUG team. Not much will change for me, my two most important ships are the Tensor Scout and the Beacon Bomber. As a solo pilot, I can best support my team with them. For me, the individual ships themselves are not as important as a well coordinated hangar with which I am well equipped for TDM and Domination. I always find it a little arrogant of the Premade pilots to call their playing style the only and important thing. There are much more people travelling solo than in groups.
  18. Lingering effect has never been junk, I love it on my Tensor Scout. Unfortunately I have very bad access to it on pub side. If you always arrive first under the satellite with tensor and interdiction, you can annoy incoming opponents for a very long time with repeated lingering, interdiction and tensor. Add distortion field and you're a real pain in the ***. In the free field, lingering is of course pointless.
  19. Most damage is usually done by those who attack a tank or someone who is protected by a tank or heal permanently. Little damage is done by those who choose and kill the unprotected targets. Who will now contribute more to the victory?
  20. I don't like much about SWTOR PVP, but the warzones are extremely well designed. You won't find anything as varied as here, and I know a lot of MMOs. In Guild Wars 2, ALL maps are the same, all have three Cap Points, all play the same way. To fall asleep. The only thing I miss here are the really big maps of WoW, 40vs40 is a lot of fun.
  21. As long as people vote the way they vote right now, it doesn't matter anyway. The vote gets either the heal (with right) or the one with the most damage. Objectives and kills don't matter. I once laid all the bombs in the Voidstar with my scrapper, drove up the ramp and ran through it all by myself. My team didn't even register it, zero votes. Or in the arena, where it really depends on kills, the Votes gets the most damage, even if someone else has the double of kills. Totally absurd.
  22. Me not. But it's all right for me, most of them will gather in the arenas and we'll have peace from them. A very good Solution. And btw. Ground PVP is very bad for CXP, unassembled Components and also for Conquest Points. Best hour/ponts ratio is GSF by far. Try is out. What has not been mentioned here at all is balancing. There is no balancing for warzones and arenas at the same time. So you'd have to treat this separately. It is not for nothing that the statement of a PVP manager in WoW say, that their biggest mistake was the implementation of the arenas. WoW has six PVP modes: Battlegrounds unrated and rated. Arenas 2vs2 and 3vs3, both in rated and unrated. It is completely impossible to achieve a balancing: And they treat PVP and PVE completely separately. Here, where they don't even bother to separate PVE and PVP skills, this leads to a disaster. In Guild Wars 2, there is only one PVP mode and balancing works. Premades are also banned from normal PVP, which of course always leads to better and more balanced games. They have their own game mode, tournaments against other premades. Similar to Group Rated here. Many abilities have different values for PVE and PVP, so it is also treated separately.
  23. Maybe you would like warzones more if the rewards were better. And that would be right, a warzone needs 2-3 times the time of an arena. that should be rewarded.
  24. That's exactly what makes me believe that many PVP players are more interested in pub brawls than smart games.
