  1. And in regards to the Cather, I struggle to consider them as content. Race choice has only cosmetic value (except for humans and the eventual Presence +100 you get from them). And oh man I just saw my signature, I've been gone for far too long.
  2. My signature pretty much covers this. I think we do need a merge, with server transfers we may see it logistics of it become easier, but they need to get on this to appease the general community.
  3. http://moseisleyradio.com/category/mos-eisley-radio/ It's mentioned in the most recent podcast. I'm not going to supply a time stamp, it's probably worth a listen in it's entirety anyway.
  4. They intend to merge the trade networks somewhere down the line, so it'll be worth using eventually, if not just yet. Source: Interview with Daniel Erickson on Mos Eisley Radio.
  5. And lets not forget that legacy level 6 also gets you a free month (non-stacking), which is pretty easy to achieve if you've unlocked a legacy at all. You can't do anything that benefits a demographic, because then someone else will see it and feel entitled. -_-
  6. I like it. The black/ grey on gold theme is a nice switch. I found the old site too dark, or perhaps monotone.
  7. Here's the first paragraph which explains that you don't need a level 50.
  8. You've had the ability earn legacy levels since launch. Once you finish chapter one (around level 30-35-ish), you choose a legacy name and begin earning experience.
  9. It's not as complicated as you may think it is. I found it pretty clear, if you have either a level 50 or legacy level 6 on your account you qualify.
  10. I missed the window here, and yes I'm a little annoyed that I missed it (by taking time to focus on an alt), but you're really blaming BioWare for being generous?
  11. And as I said, you didn't keep up. If it changed, it didn't change that recently.
  12. It's not that you were lied to. Either you missed part of what was said, or you haven't been keeping up to date. Things change in development (if indeed they did in this case), and we've all been made aware (if you chose to read the information).
  13. Lucas says no. "For reasons unknown, George Lucas maintains a strict policy of keeping the history, name, origin, and whereabouts of this species secret. This policy has resulted even in certain Star Wars publications being canceled. A significant example of this policy was when Lucasfilm (likely at the direction of George Lucas himself) ordered the pulping of the entire print run of a yet-to-be-released Star Wars trading card depicting a group of the unknown tridactyl species worshiping a larger-than-life-size statue of one of their number, led in prayer by an individual who may have been intended to be Yoda."
  14. Pulling some picks up. My best attempt at a D= face http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/316067_140812396009273_100002415416949_234067_1104936_n.jpg I was in the pub... And someone gave me some Bisto... Just gave it to me. I don't know either. http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/207899_1995563812864_1356531076_2392781_4964560_n.jpg I was at a con, in my Jedi costume, and there happened to be a glow stick party one night. My face lit up. 3 foot long glow stick? oh hellz yes! ... The costume didn't cope too well, especially after my face was covered in green paint. http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/302081_10150300170222850_691297849_7631687_1070611325_n.jpg
  15. You level, get the best PVP gear, go datacron hunting, and whatever else goes into setting up for PVP. This aspect of the legacy system you're claiming to be unacceptable is only another form of progression. I don't know if it will actually affect PVP, but I have no problem with it doing so.
  16. Explain, how has the lore been butchered? I mean, the SW EU lore has had plenty of sketchy moments and contradictions, but what slight has BW committed to the lore with Legacy?
  17. There's no problem. You have access to that floor, and one of the vendors there (forgot his name, he's on the opposite side IIRC). not the CE vendor. To use him you need to purchase the collector's edition.
  18. Stephen Reid said there would be bonuses for existing characters, though he didn't divulge any further information to do with that, in an interview on TOR-Talk. Otherwise we know new species-class combinations will be unlockable... And that's it me thinks. They're being pretty tight lipped. But what else would we expect from BioWare?
  19. His name is Ven Zallow. http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Ven_Zallow EDIT: Beaten by a second XD
  20. Sucks. Does the keychain version need to be linked at all? I was thinking of ordering one as backup.
  21. 8AM GMT - 4PM GMT (9-5 CET)? Well I'll be at work so there's no cause for me to complain. Is this really considered peak playing time? Most people I know work 8-5 and if you're too young to be in full time work, school tends to run from 7:30AM - 3:30PM. Eat dinner and do homework before sitting down to play a game. Really it seems like the downtime is getting done while people are otherwise occupied.
  22. And I get that. I came by KOTOR after playing the system it's based on, so I had prior and fairly intimate knowledge of how it worked. The thing about the video game is that it just throws it at you and you try to roll with it, if you're playing a tabletop RPG you need to learn the rules from a book.
  23. I still would have liked to see SWTOR mechanics based on the latest version of the tabletop RPG, like KOTOR was based on the previous one. But I guess that would be too complicated for new players, it scared a lot of people away from DDO. Still, I'm loving what we got~
  24. Y'kow what, I'm going to agree with you on a partial basis. It doesn't feel exactly like a single player game, nor does it feel like the typical MMO. It's the blend that I'm liking.
