  1. What it all boils down to is this - when you make changes to the fundamentals of established games, you will ultimately lose half of your player base. No sane designer would entertain such a thing. In this case it's mitigated by one thing only - it's a Star Wars license. But it's also compounded by the fact that there was not one single positive change. It's all negatives to the game play. Further, all of it is broken. And they are only now getting to fixes. Even if they had a perfect launch with no bugs, I would still hate it. And the fact I literally spent over 10 billion credits on amplifiers that they just arbitrarily yanked means I can no longer trust them. Honestly, when I first saw what they were planning to do last year, and listened to all the voices who were 'excited' for the new 'content', I spoke up when I realized then that what they were doing was going to dump their own player base after a quick uptick, after people saw the reality of what was happening. That aside I assumed I was staying only because of friends in-game. But I've gotten to the point where I have no desire to even log on. Everything is now too much work to accomplish anything taking too much time, so I'm wasting my money and time for nothing.
  2. Why should I care? Really. It's not that much. After having spent well over 10 billion credits for amplifiers that ceased to exist, why should it bother me? Just another arbitrary credit sink. Right? I'll be willing to bet new players don't like it either. Seriously, I'm getting the impression that nobody cares anymore if they are wasting their cashmoney on a company that has, BY DESIGN, failed their customers. All the people who did care left.
  3. THAT is the major downside to all this. I'm not interested in being a perennial target in GSF, I don't care for the volatility of PvP, and our guild never seems to have enough interested players to OP. So I'm stuck juggling stupid currency caps forever. What's more, all that takes a ton of work. And it's just not fun anymore.
  4. All of them capped. I still only have 6 chars of the 17 equipped with the 326 Implant from the fleet mission. I can't seem to get enough tech frags to compensate. I can't loot medals of commendation anymore. They just sit there on a corpse I can't harvest. Maybe instead of organizing all this we can have a Jugglernaut class?
  5. Costs credits takes time. It's not that hard a concept to comprehend. At least there's a workaround.
  6. I hope this isn't a 'design decision'. I'm starting to wonder if all this is vaccine related.
  7. Dumbest expansion since the New Game Experience over at SWG. If you like working your *** off all week for half the reward, you'll love it. Personally, I took last week off entirely. The way I feel is this - what used to be a great game with few bugs worth mention, is now a nightmare of disconnects, mobs falling through floors, delays, lag, broken missions and failed development. I never followed what is going on there, but I rather feel there's been a change of command and that idiot Raph Koster is somehow involved.
  8. The problem with progression servers is they eventually progress to the point where the game was ruined by abusive developers and arbitrary change for the sake of change. By the time it reaches Planes of Power I'm totally unforgiving of SOE.
  9. I'm getting old. I need frequent naps. I forget things. I don't get excited about expansions, in fact I get upset when changes to fundamentals of established games are announced. I once spent 3 days solid waiting to find a group to get my corpse in Lower Guk because nobody liked Wizards. (I love that story) I just can't perform like that anymore. It was tough enough for me gaining 50k conquest on 17 chars in a week, but I still had time to socialize with my guild mates. Now that it's 5 times harder to get over the mark (twice as much conquest - half as much reward - run out of planets constantly), there just is no time left for proper interaction with guild mates. And I do nothing else since I'm disabled. I'll be honest, I have counted far more negative changes in this expansion than positive ones. Arbitrary changes based on wrong thinking do not equal content. If this expansion were released in 100% perfect condition, I would still have hated it. But now the ONLY THING keeping me here are my friends in the guild. And since few people are socializing anymore, that's beginning to fade as each week passes. For these reasons I'm disappointed. For 17 characters in IR306 end-game armor, after having spent over 10 billion credits on amplifiers, I'm downright angry. I just wish there was a place a guy could go to be safe from abusive relationships with game developers.
  10. At the very least, they must fix loot drops, switching loadouts and gimped classes. Ultimately, they must return the 50k cq per week and make it easier to achieve. Otherwise it's just a huge nerf to the game with a fancy name.
  11. I didn't see any notes in here or otherwise.
  12. And not SWG where it's drugs and I never fly in my ship. You guys once had a TON of creativity. There is no substance in the story though, it's just a story you grind over and over again. I have 2 Smugglers. Let them smuggle dangit. I begged them to see what they were on to in SWG. They had the bounty hunter boards always active. The Bounty Hunter, therefore, had substance. And it was the only one that had anything to do with their name! If you're a Smuggler you should be smuggling as your primary focus with the highest reward. Bounty Hunter hunting bounties. Commandos blowing things up or defending installations. Jedi vs Sith and vice versa. It's so CLEAR to me where the content lies. There are so many possible missions that could be added! Yet strangely, nobody will see reason. Here it's all about story, and the story has run out of flavor. But try finding a bounty. This is the first time ever I rolled into a Bioware expansion already disappointed just from what I was reading. I begged I pleaded....reconsider. But this today is so bad, I've logged off several times completely demoralized. Every time I discovered something new about the expansion I wish I hadn't. I don't see the positive in any of this. Just punishment for playing. Now it's just another job. And I don't see myself paying for that privilege.
  13. I just logged off again totally demoralized. Every time I discover something new about this expansion I wish I hadn't. I have no desire whatsoever to go back into this game. This should have been released April 1st.
  14. There should be, written in stone over the entrance of Full Sail college - "Thou shalt not change the fundamentals of an established game."
  15. OMG. I was just thinking the same thing. This ... is complete garbage. If loadouts was what everyone was excited about, I'm here to tell you they're broken. Everytime I switch loadouts it reverts back to random placement of abilities all over the place, and drops my guns. No matter how many times I save it, it does the same god danged thing. I have no idea where my mounts went. Losing the BILLIONS I spent on amplifiers just pisses me off, and all I'm doing is hanging out at the fleet trying to figure out who dreamed all this up so I can collect the bounty.
  16. Loadouts are not saving for me. I just F'ed up one char, I won't be doing this for any of the other 17. I don't see anything positive about this expansion. And where the hell did my mounts go?
  17. I have 9 Imperial characters at 75 with 6 crafters. Been looking for a home for the duration. I can't keep up with all the conquest points guilds are requiring of each alt. What *I* need is somebody willing to accept that I am working some characters but not all, all the time. Focused, my republic main character has been producing 2 to 3 million per week, but my Imperial character WEPPS is my primary. I'd like to bring all 9 into the guild if possible... I've been playing since release, off and on due to health concerns, and I'm tired of having to deal with constantly being booted from guilds with unacceptable requirements. If you think I can help you guys let me know.
  18. Not AGAIN. I had to deal with those losers over at SOE for months over this crap. And now we get to go round and round once again. You listened to the whining, instead of having a decent development cycle that actually fixes things that are broken. But once you go down that dark path of nerfing legitimate abilities, you enter a cul-de-sac from which there is no escape. Every friggin development team does the same stupid thing. Why should you be any different?

  20. I just went looking...where are the screenies saved? Wait...found them. Carry on...
  21. Can't speak for PvP in SWToR. I haven't heard anything good though. I never did like this fascination by developers with equipment-centric PvP. But this entire game is about equipment. I've literally spent millions on it.
  22. The only blades and staves I find are green, on the weapons vendors. I assume you mean for companions. I did a search just yesterday for level 1-50 techstaff of any variety and found none. On 'full' server. Bummer really. Needs to be looked at.
