  1. If you're willing to help a smaller guild grow, <Orobird Flu> is getting started and looking for players interested in raiding and conquest. We have about 70 members and average 8-11 people on nightly during primetime atm, but usually have people on during the day as well. We will be starting weekend ops runs this coming weekend. (Fri Jan 26). You can message me in-game on ZsaZsa or /who Orobird Flu for an invite if this sounds like a guild you'd be interested in. We do have a pub guild, but it is mainly for alts right now, and not a major focus at all.
  2. We are a small guild of about 70 active players, average between 8 and 11 people on during primetime, and are looking for casual players of any skill level to help us start up weekend raid runs (Fri Night, Sat, and Sun). If you're looking for a smaller guild and no pressure environment but still want access to endgame we may be a good fit for you. You can /who Orobird and look for online members, or mail or message ZsaZsa, Dallus, or Agent Rebecca in-game for more information or an invite. We'd love to welcome you to our active tight-knit community of filthy casuals!
  3. Hey, everyone! I'm a former GM coming back to the game and to this server. I have a former PvE/P guild named Orobird Flu that has the basic Flagship unlocked and a fully unlocked DK stronghold with most of the amenities. Not a ton of decorations because we moved off-server and used all of them over there. I've got several million in the GB for starter money as well. I've been away from the game for a while now, so I'm still learning the class changes and such, but I'm considering rebooting the guild if I can find some dedicated players willing to grab new and old timer players and help build a bad-*** community of raiders and PvP'ers by helping people learn and go through old content for the first time. Basically, I'm looking for officers that are serious about making an active guild of players that are able to play the game, and play it well.
  4. I'm the former AGM of Orobird Flu and GM of Womp Rat Fever. Orobird Flu is an Imperial Guild I've been thinking of rebooting with people that are willing to take on serious officer roles. Fully unlocked DK stronghold, Guild Ship, all of that, just no one left from when I played on this server. We were once a progression raiding and pvp guild. Contact me in-game on ZsaZsa (Imperial).
  5. Is that 5000 active individual accounts? I also would really beg to differ with the quantity leading to quality. Having a bunch of people doesn't mean you have a quality guild, IJS.
  6. We are off to a great start, have filled the PvE officer position and are recruiting quality players at a decent rate. Just an update!
  7. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by fighting the casual elitist mentality. I'm certainly no white-knight, and have no problem telling people when what they are doing is wrong, ridiculous or just downright stupid. I don't apologize for people sucking at playing the MMO part of this game, I merely want to attract more people to this server that aren't those people, and take those that are NOT experienced and aren't just pretending to play but want to get better, and help them out. I've been off BC for the last two years server hopping, and unless you want to jump the boat and move to Bastion completely (which I don't, there are just too many people on that server), all of the other servers are in the same state as BC, if not worse. Do I think everyone is capable of NiM content? No. That doesn't mean we can't at least get things to the point where you can groupfinder and have ONE decent player pop in the queue with you. The reason the Bastion became so hugely popular is because the original community there fostered the kind of environment I'm talking about ... not endless summits and other crap. The fostered a sense of community with a sense of pride of self and guild and server. Zuzu, I'd love to hear your thoughts on exactly how we can combat that attitude issue we both agree on. I came back to BC because it was my home server and hoped to catch some old friends with the new content patch. I found a few, and some frenemies like yourself that I've had some great times bantering with. But by and large this server is now just a ******** of giant guilds that do nothing other than to encourage people to suck by giving them everything so they stay in the guild and hurr hurr conquest. Those are the same guilds holding these summits.
  8. This is an MMO, the people that are unable to challenge their own mindsets to be easy targets are the same ones that don't want to really learn how to play, beg for help on things that are beyond ridiculously easy with the new versions of companions, want everything handed to them, and don't call for help when they get tackled at objective in PvP. I've trolled in my day, as have you dude. It is all part of the world of MMO's. There isn't a server in this game that is any different than BC on that front. The level of skill from server to server varies, but there are always ******s and trolls that prey on the weak minded. I've seen you raging in chat and we've trolled each other mercilessly on both factions many times in the past. Attitude is part of the game. The problem with this server is that no one is encouraging inexperienced players to get better to counteract that issue. Genchat battles are one thing, maliciously attacking or griefing players is another. I'm coming back to the game and wanting to do what I can to encourage people to develop as players. Teach them, don't run them through. Let them savor the experience of getting a mechanic down and owning it. That isn't something summits are going to do ... and the word summit is just pretentious in and of itself. Individuals have to start taking action on things. Individual guilds need to take action on things. Then the community can come together.
  9. I had no idea there was even an enjin website put up. I opened up my new guild's website and mumble because I wanted people to have a place to interact outside of the game. Cheers for pulling that one off in 6 months. From what I can tell though, the only people that have used it are the GM's from the summit, and there's been almost no activity, though it is has been up for a few weeks now. I don't think you guys were off-track having the summits, I just think that it is time for results to come of the talk. 6 months spent on learning to communicate is a pretty poor outcome considering the limited parties involved and the limited success in improving communication on the server (other than, apparently, GSF, which surprises the hell out of me).
  10. Added this event to the calendar on my guild's website which is open to everyone on BC. I linked back to this post, hopefully you'll get more interest.
  11. While I agree what Hannith does is great, and a positive thing for the server, those events don't bring people together other than to get free ****. The problem the server has is that there are not many players actually playing the game, and the ones that are trying are frustrated and don't even have the chance to learn to play better by doing the content. Since Begerencolony.org is primarily an RP website, and these folks have basically been kicked off of it, if anyone cares to utilize a calendar system to post server-wide events or a mumble to plan them in, or *gasp* do content together in voice comms, WRF's website is available for the server to use, as is our 50 slot mumble. There are also forums open to the public so that free to play players can actually participate in discussions. It is ridiculous to leave at least half of the server population out of the loop. Doing so just keeps them playing past the original stories and moving on because there is no endgame content for them because nothing ever pops. Server community as a whole is something we should all be striving for. There used to be a server community here. It takes everyone on the server to do each of their parts, not a guild summit of a select few trying to dictate and/or feel they represent the server.
  12. Update: PvE Officer position has been filled. We are still looking for members and those interested in other officer positions. Our website: WompRatFever.enjin.com has open forums for all members of the server and you'll find the information for our mumble there, also free to use for anyone on the server that needs voice comms for any reason. It is currently at 50 slots, so there is plenty of room.
  13. This list is also mirrored here for those unable to post in the official forums. Doing so will help me keep track of more guilds on the server and make this list more accurate.
  14. I'm not much of a dueler, but I'd be happy to help with the logistics or anything. Republic: Stavrogin Empire: Dallus
  15. Please give me information on any guild not included here, or if there are updates needed to be made to the current list. I'll happily edit it and keep it up to date.

  17. Great attitude. People can always improve given time and experience. Good to see at least one aspect of play on this server is getting better.
  18. All Begeren Colonists Welcome to Utilize the Calendar System and Forums Some basic rules: You have to register. Go to the recruitment tab and fill out the Ally/Guest application (three questions) and a site administrator will be able to ensure you aren't a robot. When registering, if you are a guild master or officer of another guild on the server, say so and after we have verified you, you will have access to special forums and the ability to actually add events to the calendar. Users behaving like ******s can be warned and/or banned by any site administrator for any reason they feel necessary. Feel free to spread the word about these forums and calendars. Free to Play guilds can be represented and join in on server discussions here (as opposed to the official forums). Mumble Server Info Anyone is welcome to join the server at any time. If the cap of 50 online users is met, guild members will be given priority over non-guild members. Download Mumble: http://www.mumble.com (It is free!) . Womp Rat's Mumble: server: mumble-us.cleanvoice.com port: 41249 There is currently no password. Speak to an administrator if you need more channels for a specific reason. . Womp Rat Membership If you are interested in joining Womp Rat Fever, simply fill out the membership application and an Officer or Lieutenant will respond to your application as soon as possible. You must register on the website this way and join mumble in order to complete your application process.
  19. Alter alternatively you can hop in mumble any time and grab someone to invite you. I'm in there 90% of the time I'm at my machine, so I can give you an invite that way as well.
  20. That is absolutely fine. Email me in-game, or reply with your toon name. I play between 6pm and 12am servertime.
  21. Due to the Holidays the guild has been inactive. As of this week we will be actively looking for both officers and regular members regardless of skill level. Contact me by mail in-game on Stavrogin and I'll message you personally. -Joshwar, Guild Master
  22. The problem I see is that the guilds interested in doing anything to really bring the server together through hosting weekly events/contests/runs of content , etc. are either not attending these summits, or there are none. The more established guilds feel like they are above this kind of thing from what I see, and the server has experienced far too much guild consolidation, IMO. If bringing the server together is really the goal, smaller guilds cooperating together with quality events is a better idea than a handful of large guilds dominating the server and not really <i>doing</i> anything with outsiders. There is no reason for the lack of decent PvE and PvP, even as an RP server, other than that people aren't willing to put in the work to help train people to get better, or to accept the help from those that can help them be better players. BC has always been a PvE-RP server, and used to have some of the best progression guilds in the game. The PvP on this server used to have a community of players that were at least aware of the basic objectives of warzones and that they need gear. All of this is simple, easy stuff to fix. The accelerated leveling experience and OP companions makes the original content completely useless in teaching the very basics of class abilities and mechanics. If we want to keep being a server with no ability to do PvE or PvP content, not addressing that issue is the fastest way to do that. You ask what I am doing to remedy the situation? I am attempting to reboot my old guild (I've spent two years off server with other friends and recently came back to my "home" server to find it in disrepair), with a focus on helping players that want to improve their skills in PvE and PvP, no matter their experience level with the game, bringing the community together through joint events and planned activities, even the use of the guild's forums. If nothing else we could all revive the subreddit for BC and allow people unable to post here a voice. These summits have been going on for months and absolutely nothing productive has come out of them. I think they have good intentions, but they just aren't working as-is.
  23. Troll. I do not think it means what you think it means. This is the internet kid, people are ******s. I'm not saying things can't go too far, but most of the major "trolls" you can ignore, and the real trolls are hilarious. A real troll is funny. This server does not have many trolls.
  24. Says every bad on every server, ever. Lol. Personally I think the server is overall friendly, although much quieter than Harbinger outside of West Coast primetime. I play pubside and find queue pops for PvP pretty regularly. Not always instant, but not more than a few minutes once they start going and people catch the bug. As far as imp v pub, just like all of the other servers there are times of day where each side has the advantage in players, and some times when matches are balanced. Early on, pubs aren't terrible. Later on the imps start to have the advantage, but out of sheer numbers they will have plenty of players in need of guidance (or a swift kick in the ***). There have been some major losses to transfers, but the community is trying to come together and make it a quality over quantity atmosphere.
