  1. and what you see on PTS is not necessarily what will be seen on live.
  2. and wouldn't it be nice if the other 4 members of the PvP team could hear and speak to you?
  3. and so you get into a pug FP and.... wait for everyone to agree on which voice chat system to use, go and download it if they dont have it, mistype the ip and password a few times, adjust their volume, find their mic isn't working, sort out any conflicts with other voice chat apps they had running because their guild uses a different one, then get ready to play. or..... join group, voice chat channel created in-game... everyone can hear everyone, people already set up thier hardware to speak if they want to. play
  4. I agree, even if your in a guild there will be times that the ehole FP is not, so do you tell the healer they can't be in the group, because you use vent and they only have TS installed? In-game voice chat makes more sense and allows a level playing field in communication for PvP also, where you cant even join as a full team so 50% of your team will not be on your vent/TS server. At least people can listen even if they dont have a mic.
  5. beacause if you are in a pug group 3rd party voice chat is an *** to sort out. even if you have a guild and are one down for an FP and invite a someone from your friend list you have to get them onto your prefered 3rd party chat system (as you mentioned there are many and not everyone will have them all installed and ready). So creating a group voice chat channel in game when the group is made is the only sensible option, other games do it, no reason why SWTOR couldn't do this
  6. I find your lack of dark side disturbing. Darkside coz...
  7. the problem with this is sometimes (i am guilty of this), i do not post I am looking for group, but a member is wanted and I think, ok, i'm up for that. if they only do it on a lfg channel then i would never see the post and the group may never get the tank they are looking for. if BW made a LFG channel /4 as standard (like general trade pvp channels) then everyone would see the lfg/lfm and could then opt out if they didn't want to see the posts. It would be a quick addition while we wait for the LFG system to be in place, and keep it out of general
  8. This has never happened to me, either I get no reply or a "no thanks", or "not right now", etc. Maybe i get on their ignore list, but that's fine also, if they can't be social then why would i want them in my group?
  9. Hi-rez Studio's Global Agenda does it when you join a group it opens a voice channel for just that group, you also get a Guild voice channel. Vent is fine for guild chat, but a build in system for groups (after all the majority of groups are from random general chat spam LFG/M requests) would be useful
  10. try http://knotor.com/items?qu%5B%5D=3&slot%5B%5D=6&category%5B%5D=8&name=&minrtg=&maxrtg=&minlvl=&maxlvl=&flt%5B%5D=moddable&fls%5B%5D=0&flv%5B%5D=
  11. As someone who started their MMO 'career' on Lineage 2 (pre C2) I can safely say No grind here, nothing to see, move along please.
  12. yes, it goes: nerf, buff, nerf, nerf, buff, nerf, buff, buff, buff, NERF, nerf, BUFF, nerf, buff they call it balancing
  13. I sort of agree with the OP, but I think a system like has already been suggested would be better, starting with a low penalty (5min?) and ramping up the time if the person keeps doing it. Maybe a Deserter system, eventually forcing them to wear a Deserter tag for an hour so people can see, lol
  14. I agree, but on the bound I would say only allow the 'bound on equip' items to passed on to alts (i.e. making them bound to account if you are above a certain legacy and have already used them). bound on pickup should by bound to character.
