  1. I think I ended my Agent Class Story neutral/lightside, used Black Codex wipe, but I have taken 2 years off and can't remember where to resume. On Ilum Moff Regus calls me Officer and Sir, no Cipher 9 mentions, but it's the Flashpoint mission.
  2. Thanks! I suspected that, but thought I may have missed something. What to do, what to do? I've done everything my level already and I am not doing Makeb or Oricon over although my current character has not done those yet. Tatooine is the coolest world so far anyway, they need to return there with higher level missions in the Dune Sea.
  3. CZ-198. I get the quest from the droid, go to starship, get sent to CZ-198 to do Titans of Industry. I follow the green mission icon and it leads me to Weekly Veteran Flashpoint dispenser. I take the mission and everything inside is level 70, but me I am level 58 so I can't get past first room. Where is the actual mission area? It can't be what the green mission pip is pointing me at. There is such a thing as normal leveling of your character, right? I just want to know how to enter the normal 'Titans of Industry' quest.
  4. Crafting your own gear is pretty easy also if you just start at the beginning and keep sending your companions on missions. Get a few extra characters going and skill them up on crafting and you easily have blues and some purple items. You will need Armormech, Cybertech, Salvage, Slicing, and Underworld Trading for armors, then Artifice (requires Archeology materials) for hilts and Armstech for barrels. Easily doable with 3 characters.
  5. I am back after two years off. I don't see Gas Cylinders or Mag Shot (or is Mag Shot from Commando?). I started a new Merc- Arsenal character to re-learn some things since my old characters were missing lots of abilities from 2 years ago. There are less buttons to press, less heat, companion heals better. Accelerated XP at low levels of course. Is that about right? What are the major changes to be aware of?
  6. Well Bioware needs to take down the prompts on there start-up page or at least say it has ended. Sheesh. Been ended for a year and the game still says start a new character and experience the Dark vs Light event. So I just delete my new character then? Do I get a refund for the character slots?
  7. Is Dark vs Light event still running? When the game was updating I was prompted to create a new character to experience this event, but other than a streamlined leveling up I see no mention of this in-game.
  8. SWtoR is not a PvP game, it's PvE. For myself I think the PvP is bad and always was, always will be. PvP might be fun if it was in your actual starship with a joystick option. Runnin around these PvP maps is noxious. To me. I only PvE, but will do so on PvP enabled maps from time to time. Anyway, they need to balance the game for PvE, not PvP. They took away equipping our companions so there is no fall back anymore.
  9. Thanks. I checked my armorsmith, wouldn't have thought of Synthweaving. I started a new character so I was just making a few mods level 8-14. Don't need it of course.
  10. Haven't played in two years, but I see my Cybertech has no Armor mod recipes available. level 550. Who crafts armor mods?
  11. Well I am glad someone is happy with the change, but when you get multiple characters you can craft anything your companions might need and eventually you have multiple characters so equipping companions is a minor task you do every10 levels or when you switch to a long unused companion. Hopefully Bioware can come to some middle ground because what they have now is a real gutting of possibilities SWtoR used to have. Bioware was so proud of what they had created with the original companion abilities it's hard to believe they just chucked the whole thing out.
  12. I am a Closed Beta Tester, I go that far back, and up until you removed the companion ability to equip gear like your character does, I was a continuous active subscriber. However, the removal of that key feature destroyed all the work I had done to equip my companions and ruined the best source of fun SWTOR had to offer me which was taking my companions on very difficult quests. Quests that were a real challenge to overcome. Often you couldn't, but with luck and craft sometimes you could. So much of SWtoR is singleplayer driven that the loss of all my companions killed the game. I unsubscribed after 4 years of subbing. But I am back for a month. So I am here to tell you how important the ability to equip you companions is to player enjoyment. I was really surprised by your lack of commitment to the deep companion abilities you had boasted to everyone about when SWtoR was released. Please give them back.
  13. So why does my Bounty Hunter/PT have a Blaster if he never fires it? Well? I think you acted before you thought of the consequences BW. The complete fix was to shift some of the PT attacks over to the Blaster if you were removing all but the basic attack power from the Blaster. So do that by the next patch for the PowerTech, please. We game and the game must not look boring, repetitive. Characters must battle with flourish and bravado and look cool. And no back-talk on this. You just agree or say nothing because it is just a Quality of Life improvement that is obviously overlooked by BW.
  14. I play all the Classes. There is no comparison to the weakness of the Commando. Medic is all that works now in PvE, but I did not ever want my Commando to be a Medic. If you like it fine, but I say it's ruined compared to what the Commando was prior to the Disciplines and needs some work. That's just my critique, it's not a request for assistance, but thanks.
  15. I play all the Classes and I do not see a difference in any Tank Class. They are identical in the broad abilities although a little different in style. PvP: Well pvp is driven by whiners, that's just how it is in all the games. Fix the Commando and Merc should be the only thing Bioware is working on.
  16. I guess you folks who say it's so easy don't ever challenge yourselves? I mean, yeah I could run around and avoid the hard content and just level up on trash mobs, but I would have quit SWtoR long ago if that's all there was to the game. In fact if you would re-read my original post I say the Commando blows through the trash mobs like it was punching the clock. No challenge whatsoever. It's when the toon faces a level boss that it folds like a wet rag. What made the 2.XX Commando tough in PvE boss battles was it had a few good heals that it could re-fill it's health with. Nothing fantastic, but enough to be challenging. Now to get those heals you have to be a Medic so BW changed the whole gameplay mechanics completely for Assault/Gunnery. Basically my take on the post 3.0 balancing is it has no rhyme or reason. Some Classes were gifted extraordinarily and others completely blown apart. And there is nothing wrong with giving BW a critique on their game. What is wrong is saying nothing is broken when the gameplay of the Commando is so much worse than before.
  17. Commandos-Mercs are terrible in PvE leveling since change to 3.0 Disciplines. Level 44 Merc, Level 54 Commando. I do the PvE missions and character storyline missions and they either mow down trash mobs or get crushed by the first level Boss. I was doing a Bounty with the level 54 medic (switched to Medic out of desperation to try to continue with leveling) and he died three times before just barely surviving. Had to barrow credits to repair the armor (17000). Blue and Purple gear on both him and companion. The problem is that the Commando-Merc Heals are not available when needed or take too much time to deploy. In pre-3.0 I would take the Medic tree far enough to get the basic heal and then go Assault and when a tough battle happened he had the heal to bounce back with. Now it has that goofy Supercharge Cell mechanic which is mind-numbingly cumbersome and no Adv Med Probe unless you go full Medic. I would never, ever have leveled either my Commando or my Merc if I had had to use the Supercharge Cell for heals and did not get a good basic Heal set with Assault. I would have just erased them 3 years ago and started a Vanguard or Pyrotech in their places. However now, three years into leveling them you completely change how they play. That is unfair and dishonorable. You need to restore them to their old abilities with no Supercharge Cell required/optional or allow Commando and Merc players to switch to another sub-Class or Class that is to their liking. The 3.0 changes just went too far and the only honorable thing to do is let players out if they hate what happened to their characters or you, BioWare, make a serious attempt to restore the game mechanics to some semblance pre- 3.0 Disciplines.
  18. QFT, Mercs and Commandos are crap in PvP and PvE. I un-subbed, re-subbed, but am un-subbing for good now over it. BW had no clue on how players were enjoying the gameplay of the Merc and Commando and changed them into something quite unlike anything they had been previously. In short give my Commando and Merc back their ability to self-heal in the difficult PvE and I guess PvP battles when not in the Medic role. You stole that from them in 3.0 and now give it back. That was a very underhanded move. To ruin my two highest level characters that I had worked to level since day one of SWtoR. You will not be forgiven for this it was a bone-headed thing to do. My Commando survived by heals in between the attacks and now it just dies everytime a tough Boss battle comes up. When I see stuff like this happen it makes me feel like why am I even wasting my time on this game? Oh yeah, play your character for 3 years and then we'll ruin it, ha-ha, jokes on you. But it's not, it's on you BW. It shows your lack of integrity and honor.
  19. Ya see, my Bounty Hunter has this pistol he is supposed to shoot, but never does now. The thing is all customized with special looks and color crystals, but he just waves it around now and shoots all his attacks from this unseen wrist-thingy that pops out of his off-hand. Wrist-thingy has no crystal or special looks and you can't even modify it so I am thinking, well duh-oh, why doesn't the Bounty Hunter shoot Rail-Shot and some other attacks out of the gun like the Trooper does?
  20. Characters are male /female and acting makes a big difference in how the character comes off. Like Agent, Smuggler, Assassin are all much better acted by the women. Bounty Hunter, Trooper, better acted by the men. That's 16 choices though with Class specialization. Then of course you might get an original idea as to how you might want to specialize further with Race or something. Or you made a bad choice on your character's path somewhere long back. Or you just liked playing the storyline the first time. What is there to do at level 60? PvP map capture the donut or something? Yuck! On that subject BW missed the big PvP goal of having PvE and PvP missions run along side each other. Like when I take a Quest I choose right there if I want it to be PvP where I may face other players as well as the regular bosses and mobs. Now that is actual PvP.
  21. I play a Gunnery Commando, always have, that's why I rolled him 3 years ago. Never intended to have him be a Medic. My measure of the Classes is can they solo difficult content. Not missions made for 4 players, just can they do difficult missions or high elite bosses. If they can, then they can do larger missions with groups the same way. Prior to 3.0 my Commando did all this just fine, now I go back and try to solo these bosses that I beat 4 levels earlier and I can't, not even close. The heals just don't come up in time anymore. So they fubarred the Class IMHO. That's how I play SWtoR and always have. I am a Founder and Closed Beta Tester. I just gag when I look at the PvP maps and PvP gameplay they made for SWtoR and want nothing to do with it. In SWtoR PvP should be a Quest where you fight other players, not play that old "capture the blob" junk. That's not any fun. BW is too concerned with handing out prizes and goodies for PvP with heavy controls on it and that caused them to miss the big score which was PvP Questing along side PvE Questing. Sort of merge the two and if PvP happens in an uncontrolled fashion, so be it. However, you just set the difficulty by player number like any other mission and what happens, happens. So I don't really care if PvP is perfectly balanced and you know of course it never ever is. If Serenity/Hatred was the be all end all spec (and I assure you it is not! I play all the Classes even now and I know what the best one is!) then it would not be that much better than the next best. My concern is that Serenity/Hatred is a lot of fun to play in PvE due to the variety of attacks and ranges and no set rotations and is actually the most fun I have had with SWtoR after all the years and naturally Bioware can't let players have fun. ???? They have to nerf that away. But Serenity is not OP, it's actually very tough to kill the elite bosses with and I always resort to med-packs and boosts and even then the end boss battles can be real squeakers where you survive with 5 or 6 HP's left. Other Classes do the same end level bosses with about the same gear and it's pretty ho-hum, maybe they think about hitting Heroic Call, but then don't. So I am just astonished that this is not just the perfect spot for Serenity/Hatred to be at. Makes no sense at all after playing 3.0 Guardians, Vanguards, Scoundrels, Gunslingers, Snipers, Sorcerers, which are all better. Some by a great deal.
  22. I am playing a Shadow, Serenity and was just starting to like SWtoR again after Bioware ruined my lvl 53 Commando with the 3.0 changes and I quit playing it. They obviously never understood how most players were using the Skill trees to make the Commando playable. But I liked the changes to my Shadow, and in Serenity, found the lack of a need for a fixed rotation and defined range to be quite a lot of fun, but surely under-powered compared to the other Classes I have been playing in 3.0., some of which are virtual PvE steamrollers. So does BioWare just nerf fun? They aren't fixing a problem as far as I can tell. That is speaking as a past Closed Beta Tester for this game and meant as a critique.
