  1. Some people should really compare the actual mitigation difference between heavy and medium armour..... Hint: there might be a reason why BW decided to buff armour in tank stance by 60% (for heavy).
  2. Tbh. I´m getting annoyed by huttball too. I don´t really like it, but I wouldn´t mind it all that much if I wouldn´t end up in a huttball match so frequently. I´m pretty much getting huttball as often as the other 3 maps combined. Me queueing warzones is 50% huttball 50% denova/civil war/void star. And that is annoying. And no it´s a same faction thingy.
  3. You might not believe it, but there are people who care about things like the setting (a minor detail in an rpg I know...). Yes it is different, totally different.
  4. Define world PvP. Or rather what makes you want to do world PvP. The thing is the WvW maps are so big (and there´s 4 of em) that they might just offer what many PvP´ers look for when they want world PvP. By that I mean, being able to roam a wide area and not being restricted by an arena or small´ish PvP zone. + there are 3 sides to spice things up. Ofc if the primary motivation is ganking, killing lowbies/questing people and the likes, then no, GW2 doesn´t feature that.
  5. I´m happy with my armormech. Along with scavenging and underworld trading for the mods. I didn´t know it when I chose the crew skills, but the troopers companions are ideally suited for this. You get +5 crit to armormech, scavenging and underworld trading. I was quite happy upon discovering that.
  6. Melee range represents more than just the reach someone has with his weapon. A lot of factors "happen" in melee combat that cannot be translated into a game. Think of it more as a radius of action than just the actual reach of a weapon. Just my opinion.
  7. PT/VG drop much easier than Maras/Sents. No defensive cd´s to write home about. A bubble that is functional but not amazing and that´s pretty much it. I think it evens out pretty well balance wise.

Dunno how it is with the other classes, but I really hate about the trooper sets is that they only look good with the no.3 bodytype (the "hercules" one) and maybe with the no.4 (bald) aswell (but then again I wouldn´t like a bald trooper). Point is, my trooper has the no.2 (normal) bodytype and many sets look kinda disproportionate.
  9. Getting affection up actually does some something else besides the cafting efficiency. It´s in the legacy unlocks. Once you had all the dialogues (for which you need affection) with a companion you get an unlock? But I forgot what it gives. +20 presence on all characters I think, and maybe something else, just look it up in the legacy. EDIT: whoops, has already been said, my bad
  10. I´d agree too that, if my infection wouldn´t bug out all the time^^
  11. Got smacked pretty hard today. Played 8 WZ´s, lost 7. One was a Huttball match already at 0:4 when I entered (thank you leaver ). It went on for 3 more minutes and I got 40 comms. The others where averaging at about 70 comms, worst was 50, best was 95, the rest somewhere inbetween. Gotta say that`s pretty rich pickings for loosing all the way through . Dunno what´s to complain about.
  12. Tank stance compensates for that. Guards/Juggs, Vanguards/PTs get their armour boosted by 60% with tank stance. Shadows/Assassins get their robes boosted by 150% in tank stance. So, whatever else is a factor, light armour isn´t. Just sayin.
  13. I must say I really like the event. Everything about it. The way that it came unannounced, the player activity on Tatooine and also the how the disease and spreading it works. It´s not exclusively a "do you want to participate or not" event, Bioware threw a friggin plague at us. And thanks to how it works, it really feels like a plague and not some half assed thing. Really nice how it spices things up.
  14. Das ist das also. Solcher "Zitterer" hab ich WZ´s schon mitgekriegt. Ich wusste nur damals nicht woran ich da war. Nur um das Klarzustellen: zittern = Beiprodukt eines Hacks oder kann man auch "zittern" ohne zu cheaten?
