  1. Kinda like your signature then, yo? And fyi there was a hint of constructive advice in my 'memebaby' i.e. i'd like to see a healer heal through a couple of tracer missiles... to the knee's. (see what i did there?!?! mwhaha). trollybaby.
  2. I used to be a healer, then i took a tracer missile to the knee. But seriously, I can kill healers 1 on 1... except certain BH healers, but even then... they usually end up running away whilst i still have 99% of my HP left. So if 3-4 people are needed to kill a healer, well, your dps is terrible (you aren't dps'ing with healers are you?), or you aren't telling the full story (he's been guarded, healed by another healer etc).
  3. So do I, his name is usually Fidopro, Jimra or ZDProletariat. OP - looking good bro. Mind if I ask where you got your tat, and pimp stick?

    Open PVP is DEAD

Been there, done that... corpse camping was the least of the problems with that game (if it was one at all). Try again.
  5. By challenge you mean grind, right? The only challenge being finding time to sit behind your PC and invest 'time'. Hardcore PVP... in TOR? lol GW2 will be the MMO for PVP'ers (wvwvw, esports, tournaments, ladders etc)... and guess what, it doesn't have gear discrepancies or gear grinds in it's competitive pvp area's *shock*. Or is that game too carebear and casual for you?
  6. Gear grinds never used to be part of PVP. Gear grinds were always part of PVE. Thus, if you want gear grinds with your PVP - then it's YOU who is the PVE'er in disguise. Logic bro. But keep relying on your gear advantage to carry you in PVP, whilst pretending that you are 'hardcore'? lol
  7. Not all MMO's are like that, hell, AC1 way back in 99 had dodgable projectiles (arrows, spells) and the like. And there's plenty of other examples. GW2 will have this on a smaller scale, and TERA is taking it to another level. There's also a lot more to well designed MMO PVP than that. Different skills, abilities, classes... all which you can learn to counter. Different tactics, environmental advantages etc... I'd say that being good at AC1 took a lot more skill than being good at quake (which was 99% reflexes). And yeah, I won plenty of Quake tournies.
  8. By back in the day, you mean WOW right? Because... back in the day (well before WOW, kiddo) gear had little to do with the outcome of PVP fights. There was no PVP gear, no minigame grinds, just meaningful world PVP where player skill decided the outcome of fights.... and where dying actually had consequences (something you carebear generation wouldn't understand). TLDR: Meaningful world PVP with consequences and skill based PVP >>>>>>>> your little instanced minigame grinds for gear advantages.
  9. Wake up bro, you're dreaming! Hang in there though, it's coming... WvWvW, skill based pvp, tournaments, competitive pvp etc etc etc...

    Skill vs Gear

They can't even make world PVP, or competitive PVP, what makes you think they can handle full loot? One step at a time. Oh no, epikwang is mad!

    Skill vs Gear

OP is afraid that without his gear crux he will get pillaged... frequently. So he has busted out some fail logic. "Classes aren't created 100% equal (and people don't want to learn how to counter classes anyway lolol), so it's ok to put in large gear discrepancies... cause you know, if it's going to be even slightly unbalanced, let's just go all the way and make it hugely unbalanced...." RIGHT? Oh yeah. PS If you were a real PVP'er, you would be all for changes that made PVP more about player skill. Y U SCARED BRO? Crate clicking, kill trading, minigame grinds.... Yeah, you earned that gear advantage because clearly you've got 'dem mad skillz?
  12. Unfortunately you need rewards/incentives when your PVP consists of nothing more than 3 minigames. How else would you get people to stick around? Obviously meaningful world PVP is too much to ask....
  13. The best shooters out there still don't have gear discrepancies. The best RTS games out there still don't have gear discrepancies. The best PVP MMO's out there have very limited, or no gear discrepancies. The MMO every real PVP'er is waiting for, doesn't have gear discrepancies in it's competitive PVP area's. Who's out of luck again? But you're welcome to keep chasing that carrot, the carrot that you 'earned' simply by spending time grinding, the carrot that you need to get - because it makes up for your lack of skill. The carrot that changes every patch, and that is used to cover up lack of actual PVP content. The carrot that is present in every PVE-lite MMO, such as in TOR.
  14. This ^. I had no problems being competitive in WZ's as a level 15. Hell, at 15 I was able to take down a level 43 player of my own class solo... twice. In the early 20's i was topping damage, and getting the most objective points... and had zero problems against level 30's or 40's. But maybe I'm doing it wrong... Hint: Bolster OVER buffs your skills when you are really low. These days, when I want to stomp pugs and undergeared players I go and play my 50 with our guild pre-made and pretend that winning takes skill. When I want to have fun, I play with one of my re-rolls in 10-49 pugs. Pro-tip: there is no competitive PVP in this PVE orientated MMO, regardless of your level. So quit pretending.
  15. So that's why always get several votes! Sympathy votes!!!!!!!!!! OMG. Screw you guys, that's my pot pie.

    Is SWTOR dying?

lol, is that what torboys are doing these days? "This game's PVP doesn't suck... every other MMO ever created has exactly the same crappy PVP system!!!!" Except you know... they don't... so............
  17. Then there's no problem IMO. I personally prefer close matches, so i usually PUG it up and hope for the best. Hopefully they will add separate PM only queues soon.
  18. Nothing against pre-mades, but don't pretend like beating pugs is an accomplishment or challenging. I got bored after only doing 6 pre-mades... one we went 600:0, the three hutballs were 6:0 with the majority of the match spent farming, and two void's where the other team didn't even get past the first door. /yawn.

    Is SWTOR dying?

Truth, fact... yet every piece of actual evidence (you do know what that is right?) clearly says otherwise. Got ya!
  20. I vote for whoever contributed to the LEAST to the team. Usually it's the OP. Yeah, even the ones with protection medals. Right?
  21. You will find my rebuttal all through this thread. Try again. FREEEEDDDOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they go down easy, then what's the problem? I've seen my guild mate's sin take on TWO sorcerer's and come out with 30% of his HP left. And this isn't all that uncommon. But somehow they are OP? My marauder often come's out with 80% of his health left in 1 on 1's with them, and when they are in groups, it's pretty easy to drop them. But somehow they are OP? Their CC is annoying, and their healing spec'd version's if played well are a ***** to kill, but no more-so than BH's. But somehow they are OP? I'm just not seeing what the fuss is about... and i guess neither are BW.
  22. And then there's other people, who kill sorcerer's so easy that they have no idea why they are even on people's nerf radar's. Oh right... because they are 7 feet tall and shoot lightning from their arses

    Is SWTOR dying?

ROFL. And I'm guessing you'd have zero problems providing actual evidence to support this outlandish claim?
  24. "Everyone needs to stop acting like every hit in PvP does 3k. And BM-geared Sorc/Sage blocks 3.5k+ damage." Yeah, and there's plenty of people who hit for 4.5k+ to 7k+ -including properly spec'd JK's. And 3.5k shield is > one tracer missile. So maybe two hits if your dps is 'lower'... that's what, a whole 3 seconds to take his 'overpowered' bubble down? now he's just a clothy with poor defence. GO GO. "You can also cast bubble every 17 seconds on yourself. Something like Reactive Shield reduces damage by 25% for 12 seconds. That's an up-time of 10%. That means you'd have to take 12k+ damage over 12 seconds in order for Reactive Shield to be better than Bubble, but Bubble can still be casted six or SEVEN times over the Reactive Shield cooldown." There's shields and abilities that do a hell of a lot more than 25%. But different classes are different *shock* "It's more than 2k, and it is good when other classes can't heal at all while in combat." Stims > 3 sec 2k heal. And BH's can do it too, plus they get much higher burst... heavy armor, tracer spam etc. Yet, their supposedly OP heal is fine? An extra 2k health in 3 seconds isn't going to do much... assuming you let him get the cast off. I've been crit for 3.5k with Force in Balance, and it's an AoE, that's not bad. Mix in the double-ticking of Telekinetic Throw and Sage/Sorc burst is pretty decent. "Not bad" and "pretty decent" is a far cry from "incredible damage" you claimed in your previous post, don't you think? And yeah, 3k for a lucky crit isn't anything special... other classes can do that with white damage.
