  1. The "input" is that you have to carry him with you to talk to the questgiver, can ask for his opinion twice to get a 1-2sentence answer and thats it. Rest of the quest is done in 5minutes and is from what i've heard by far the worst of the new classquests HOWEVER the quest does end with a potential hint on a followup *fingerscrossed*
  2. Well I'm glad if thats the case maybe it's just me coming back after so long, back when I played we had a lot more selfhealing I think. (Kinda sad because thats why I picked the Assassin tank in the first place ) The new skill is just a replacement which feels a bit underwhelming to me. I think they missed a great opportunity to add depth to the class by not keeping both skills. They could have made one not consuming buffs or applying certain buffs that the other one consumes and vice versa so we would have to alternate between both skills for maximum efficiency or bank certain proccs for special occasions. That aside I'm still having a lot of fun and I'm happy I decided to give the game another shot
  3. Darkness Assassin feels supersquishy right now, I'm almost considering taking Talos with me instead of Ashara. Might be my gear though I didn't play at lvl55 at all, so time will tell. Any other Assassins/shadows having similiar opinions on this? btw any suggestions for my first Alt? Currently considering Operative, Vanguard and Powertech
  4. Jugger is fine. Assassin is fine. Powertech is fine. Na seriously you should really play what you want to play. Jugger has by far the strongest/most cooldowns what makes him a really good tank in clutch situation. However he severly lacks AoE-threat. Powertech has the highest base mitigation and some cooldowns with good aoethreat. However his heatmechanism can be a bit hard in the beginning. Assassin has good Singletarget and mediocre AoE-threat. Although he has the lowest base mitigation he also has the highest shieldchance so this comes out about even compared to the other two. He lacks strong Cooldowns though. Hope this helps you. Post more informations about what you like/dislike and I will try to help you more.
  5. Hey there, I'm currently trying to decide what Class I want to play as a twink. I really have a hard time to decide so I was hoping you could give me some hints, pros and cons and your own opinions on this. I'm not asking for a "Who is the best" I just want to know what you think is fun and why. So here is what I'm thinking about: - Operative/Scoundrel - Marauder/Sentinel - Powertech/Vanguard - Merc/Commando First of all: I don't want to play a tank again, so the powertech would be dps only, like the marauder while the other classes could be healer, too ... maybe I don't care much about pvp so this shouldn't be a criterion. So lend me a hand pls and describe what you like/dislike about the classes I mentioned and which you would advise. Lawrenor P.S Excuse my grammar I've started to learn english 2years ago so there is much I need to improve
  6. Is this still an issue? We took him down on tuesday in hardmode and actually didn't notice much difference. In fact we used only one tank for the first time. From what I read here the mainproblem for most seem to be the people on top. I think you should have 3 players top to solve the riddle as fast as possible. Using the right lever as much as possible increases the groups dmg by quite a margin. We had 3 ranged DDs top (2 mercs 1sorc) so they could heal themselves. Using only the left and right lever we took him down fairly quick. Unfortunately I'm the tank so I don't know how exactly they deal with the droids but from what I heard they are partially destroying them and partially kick them down. (Our melees+heal are on the conveyor anyway). I switch the bosses position about 2sec after he starts to generate his buffs and never have to wait for more than ~8secs before we activate the lever again. While he has no stacks unleash hell on him after that rebuild the tower right away. /edit. regarding the droids on the conveyor: have ur dds destroy them while the tower gets build up again.
  7. Inquisitors have 3 possible endgamelooks: A) metal kukluxclan B) winged ox C) carnival feather outfit Imo the worst look of all mmo classes ever.
  8. Hey fellow Tanks I've got my Rakata headgear some days ago and still confused by it's stats. While it has more endurance and willpower than the T2 headpiece it has Accuracy and Absorb instead of Defense and Shieldrating which I would both value higher than the former. I mean Accuracy doesn't really matter to me as a tank and Absorb is far weaker than defense or shieldrating imo. So how does this fit? I honestly don't want to substitute the 58mods for 56 if there is a chance that this gets changed or something like that? So am I right to be not amused or am I missing the importance of Accuracy and Absorb?
  9. I spend all my commendations on Mods after I finished a planet and took as much defmods as I could. I rarely ever changed my armor as I sticked to my upgradable ones till lvl50. Doing the bonusmissions of a planet gives you a orange piece most times that already contains mods that are above your level sometimes (=best you can get). When I dinged 50 I went for the PvP-Dailys and took all champbags I could get my hands on. Alternatively you could do ilumdailies for the 51purple mods. (I was just tired of questing after reaching 50 finally).
  10. Well the real question is: How can we determine which effects are removable or not? I mean yeah experience will tell - however especially when encountering a Boss for the first time I waste my Forceshroud to some effects I expected to be removable/resistable. Take this Laserbeamthingy some mobs have for example - while it is resistable in "Battle for Ilum" Karagga will just laugh at you even though the animation looks exactly the same. (Yeah I know I'm comparing a fp-boss with an Ops-boss but it was the first example that came to my mind)
  11. dunno what you are complaining about - all the things you listed are minor problems of the class/no problem at all.
  12. Well guess thats personal preferance. I prefer Ashara over Andronikos as she's always in my sight (I dont trust the AI ). I think she deals a bit more dmg, too but that might be just me. Your healer (Talos Drellik) is part of the Hoth mainquest I think around ~lvl37 or something like that. He's certainly viable but felt a bit overkill to me while leveling. Darkness is high survivability low dps - A healer slows you down a lot. However if you plan on trying Heroics2+ or Champions solo he's obviously the Companion to go out with.
  13. Well leveled full darkness and it worked out okay I think. It was certainly not the fastest but for sure safest way to level up. I died like 5times before getting 50 thanks to being so tanky. However Khem Val is NOT the companion you want to have around when leveling as Darkness. His taunts waste your tankiness and his dps is pretty low. Ashara is they way to go when being Darkness and doing soloquests. Her Dps is pretty high and you can tank for her.
  14. Yeah I have this feeling, too. Especially when I have to use one of this damn expensive medpacks while soloing a champion or heroic2+ ... oh wait. Jokes aside I'm very comfortable with my assassin to be honest. First of all I'm a dedicated tankplayer and to get a hang of it I leveled with darkness. (Yes, it's certainly not the fastest way to level but I was okay with that). As you didn't give any informations about ur level and spec I can give you only generic advice. - Always get the newest Hilt for you and your companion: This keeps you at the top of ur possible DPS. - Other modifications can be used as well to keep your equip up to date. (I usually traded 90%+ of my commendationmarks for mods). - Keep ur companion of choice equiped. Most quests were tested to be doable with a companion... if he lacks you suffer. Like I said you should give more informations for more help however I tested all 3specs and will try to give you a (very subjective) and personal view of them: - Madness lacks till level ~20+ as it's nearly useless till you get deathfield pumped up. Additionally you are squishy as **** and highly dependant on your companion to tank for you (which I personally still don't like). - Deception is the most straightforward spec we have - you get most of your important talents early and when you have your new charge it is a powerhouse dpswise. Although you are still squishy compared to Darkness you can take a blow or two. Additionally you burst down one target after another instead of AoE-ing which reduces incoming dmg steadily. - Darkness ... well Darkness ... I'm a dedicated tankplayer therefore it was a nobrainer for me to spec Darkness, even if it's not the most efficient spec to go while leveling. You are quite bulky after lvl14 and your survivability keeps going up steadily. Dpswise it's certainly the lowest of all three specs but in the end you can outsurvive most/every encounter and as soon as you get Ashara you have no problems with dps anyways. This spec allows to kill Champions and soloing some Heroic2+ if you have some gear and an equiped healcompanion. (I've heard that Madness can do that, too but I have not tested it long enough to verify this). However you should play with whatever you feel comfortable - this will bring you the most success. okay a huge wall of text, although I planned on keeping it short. (sorry ) If you have more questions feel free to ask, I'll try to answer them as good as I can. However you should give us more problems about your level/spec/crewskills and the problems you face.
