  2. How do you guys feel about the resolve system in pvp? Currently roots and snares do not seem to be effected with resolve. Is this intended?
  3. so you guys prefer camping outside the republic base while people pull other people into the sea of red.. yea.. that's pvp right there. Most of the time when We are camping outside the republic base. The pubs actually have more numbers than us. They just choose to hide in there for some reason. There are more exits out of the base besides walking out of the door. It would force people to group up, fly to points and actually use teamwork and strategy. The way PVP in this game is now, it's no fun. I don't want to play it anymore.
  4. Also, just because ONE spec on a class no longer is effective it doesn't make the whole class ineffective. Your thread shouldn't be about operatives then, it should just be a complaint about concealment tree.
  5. Im just saying, no matter how much you whine right now. Concealment isn't going to get fixed. period. not for a long time, once devs realize that nobody is playing it. What Devs should really be asking themselves right now is. Why are over 70% of the people in BGs Sorcs/Sages

    How to fix Ilum

    So simple. Force Fields. That's right, force fields at the entrance/exits of both bases. These force fields cannot be shot through, and you cannot go through them yourself if you are in combat. This will stop all the base camping nonsense. And it will stop people from coming out of their bases and simply being able to run right back in. This will force people to have to team up and fly to other points rather than the stupid zerg fighting right outside a factions base. Simply put, once you choose to enter the fight and exit the force field, you are in the battle and there is no escape other than death. (Of course, out of combat you can walk right into the base) But people shouldn't be able to run back and forth between a safe zone. It's rediculous. Make their spawn area safe, but don't let them fight people from their spawn. It's stupid that someone can stand in a safe area, yet still attack/pull other players into their safe area and kill them. Impliment this simple fix and Ilum will be much much more fun.

Definitely the old concealment spec sucks and I laugh at operatives that jump on me with it now. They pretty much just tickle, and are a little annoying. I switch specs a lot on my operative. If I am heal spec and a concealment operative jumps on me, I can just ignore him and keep my hots on and keep on healing. Him beating on me will never kill me. Lethality ops can kill me, but I'm pretty good at removing DOTS, and if you remove their dots, well, they are useless. But maybe if something isn't working for you. Try to switch things up. Try some new specs. Expirement. It's cheap. Operative forums have a bunch of new specs that people have found viable. Granted none of them are concealment. This is the way MMOs always go. Class A is really effective. Other classes whine because Class A kills them too fast and is OP so the forums get flooded with whining. Devs respond by nerfing class A. Forums are flooded with class A complaining they are underpowered. Other classes cheer and laugh at class A in their responses on the forums. All classes turn attention on the next most powerful class. This vicious cycle continues until all classes get nerfed. Then Devs start to look at rebuffing classes where they over nerfed them. Sometimes this results in a class becoming Overpowered yet again. (Example from the other game: Paladins, how many times were they buffed,nerfed, then buffed, then nerfed.) So my point is. All classes get nerfed. All classes eventually get rebuffed. The FOTM class is always changing. Right now it's SORC. Everyone and their mother is a SORC. One day, they will get nerfed, and then the FOTM will change.
  8. You also forget that huttball is about controlling the middle point where the ball spawns. So If I was required to stay within 20 meters of the ball carrier I would be out of luck most of the game. Since I usually sit in the middle with a teammate and guard the point while the rest of the team runs the ball.
  9. alacrity is pretty useless to be honest.. 4% will make your cast time from 1.92 from 2.0. helps a tad in pvp as it gives someone .8 seconds less to interupt your cast. You cannot get your alacrity high enough currently to make any difference. Also we work on an energy base system that slows down regen the more you use it and the faster you use it. So in a sense alacrity can hurt your energy usage as now you have a .8 faster cast and are losing .8 seconds of energy regen time. As you know as an operative you can't spam your casted heals and have your energy last very long.

Currenlty running 18/0/23 http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#401MffMzhZZhrbkrMhd.1 Last night in voidstart did 300k damage and 200k healing. in almost every warzone if you add my damage and healing together it's always 450k+, unless it's a really fast huttbal. It's great for soloing, I never get solo killed, ever. It's great for holding nodes in alderan all by yourself. Taking on two people at once isn't a problem. This spec definitely works great in my 4 man, since we have a sorc healer then usually a tank and another DPS, then i'm kinda hybrid heals/dps. I sit back with the healer normally and just peel all the dps off of him as they try to take him out.

  18. Oh yes, because the first thing I do every time I gain a valor level is take a screen shot. And the first thing I do when I load into a warzone and inspect someone's gear is screen shot it. Troll? lol. pot, meet kettle.
  19. I don't care what any of you say.. I went from rank 37-40 in 30 minutes yesterday before work. If I didn't have to go to work yesterday, I guarantee I'd be a battlemaster. Before yesterday there were just a small handfull of battlemasters on my server. Last night, after I got home, after the hotfix, suddenly valor gains in ilum were not what I had experienced early in the morning. So we queued for warzones.. we won most, but yea, there were a TON of noobs that we've never seen before in full battlemaster gear. I saw people in half battlemaster/half greens/blues from leveling. They had NO centurion or champion pieces.
  20. Healers get screwed out of valor.. espeically in ilum, which is totaly broken anyways. But as a healer I have to hit each and every person I want to get valor from. Makes it quite difficult to do when I'm trying to keep group members alive. It should simply be, if I am healing someone that is fighting an enemy, I should get credit when that enemy dies. I helped kill him by healing my team. I did my job, now give me credit.
  21. HEALERS NEED TO GET CREDIT FOR KILLS!! Currently this game does NOT give people any incentive to being a healer. We get totally screwed out of valor. As a healer I have to try to use AOEs whenever possible just to try to get credit for kills. Rediculous. If I am healing someone that is in combat with another player, I should get credit for the kill when that player kills the enemy. Afterall. I HELPED HIM FRIKIN KILL HIM BY HEALING HIM!
  22. This coming froma sorc.. the class that can get top damage and top healing in the same battleground.. stop whining and learn to play your class.
  23. Shut up.. you don't know what you're talking about. The only macros that are bannable are ones that allow you to play AFK, or create in-game glitches to bypass filters, such as the global cooldown.
  24. Think logically. If you have two side at war on a contesting planet. There are going to be two areas of that planet. One side occupies one area, while the other side occupies the other. They aren't going to be clubbing together in the cantina. If you want to PVP on tat, crawl over your little line and go find someone to kill and stop whining you big fat baby.
