  1. Would be nice as a returning player to get some of what i missed. Assuming Bioware wants those players to stay? Having stuff you can't get anymore is a good part of a game, i support that with cosmetic items.. not with exp boosting items, though making alts is already super fast- i'd be more interested in a gear set you don't need to replace whilst leveling.
  2. I mean if this is happening to people unwilling to come to the forum... imagine the numbers, just disable the dann quest until somebody can be bothered dealing with it, can't be that exciting to lay god dann mines.
  3. 5th of March exact same issue porting to stronghold will remove me from the loader and return me to the console. Really it takes months of being out and almost new content before a hotfix? This kind of crap bug support is why i haven't played this game in years.
  4. "so ive just buyed" - please don't bother with using logic he's not going to understand the big words, RNG is how they make people keeping on buying/playing.
  5. Exactly this wow wasn't built in a day ******** is just an excuse. So what, Cars and airplanes have gone through years of Development before they reached this stage, If some company started producing bi-planes it would get laughed out of the game. Just because fans feel like they need to make excuses for the company doesn't mean they should hinder progress if you don't tell them you wont stand for it, Publishers who are the problems will push these games out before they are ready because the public doesn't care enough. The dev's might want a much much better game but resources are elsewhere because the overal company doesn't NEED to put everything in to sell it, Because its fanbase will defend its gaping mistakes and abuse anyone who speaks out! Good job.
  6. They are level 50 required, When their use makes bonus objectives granting mostly EXPERIENCE more possible, Don't get me wrong i can get some of them without the proton torpedo's but what is the point to give them to a level capped character? These should be a level 30ish reward to help you gain more experience in space combat or bonus objectives need to award bonus marks. Both would be lovely.
  7. Forced server merging is something i have posted about a while before now. For inactives, just shove them all to the same inactive server with a free server transfer when the service is ready/able that way people who return get something for free, assuming bioware follow blizzard and charge for transfers. Not that they should being as the population issue isn't our problem to pay for.
  8. Hello there. I'd like to ask the devs when 1.3 is coming out. I'd also like to know why exactly the legacy system needs a major patch to have minor bonuses updated, Giving us the smallest amount of new perks every couple of months isn't exactly fun. I already have four characters at level 50 (or near enough) And knowing that experience bonuses which should've been in the legacy system which should've launched with release has killed my enthusiasm to play the game. These are fairly minor besides the fact they do need to be tested before you drop them out as are many of the other money sink legacy perks you have planned. However, When legacy came out it seemed less like it was a money sink and more perhaps the levels would *mean* something, But thus far the levels are completely irrelevant once you level one and a-bit characters, Or raid a little you reach the magic number despite still gaining legacy experience. Here is a suggestion : Try making the legacy levels MEAN something, Level 20-25-30 whatever, Could allow you to pick a new class previously unlocked to be unlocked without paying 1.5million. The same could happen with most of the other perks, As much as rocket boost needs to cost an arm and a leg for such a poorly thought out and explained bonus. Most people who brought it would rather have their money back right now, It should be usable inside or just finish extending the speeders to *everywhere!* With letting everything be unlocked by cash it makes the entire system just reek of Blizzard money sink failure and i hope you guys can do better than them. Gaining a legacy level shouldn't feel better than gaining a level on a character, But it should feel like you've achieved something, That is the point isn't it?? Shiny alert when we level the legacy but then... nothing. No legacy based currency no extra bonus from a perk, no unlocking perks without forking over so much cash its silly. With the cash sink currently in the legacy system we could just buy a planet or a fleet of star-ships in-game that isn't on, I know cash is fairly easy to get... but only at end game so make more rare items, like the Magenta crystal which was really poorly thought out. A lesser stat to heroic weapons, Ugh. Here's an idea make another crystal or barrel/Hilt that has 5% more stats on it, Make it shiny pretty look cool etc And make that cost an arm and a leg for the base materials like Wow has its Motorbike and vial of the sands. Though i think you've used almost every conceivable colour already which is a shame. Because extra colours could fuel people for a while If blue and red were standard in every dropped weapon/vendor weapon with perhaps black/blue black/red for pvp (just so they stood out) Then you could release a hoop jumping system every content patch Patch 1.1 "The search for the magenta crystal!" Patch 1.2 "Where does the white crystal come from!" Etc. You don't need to make these have a huge stat increase to make people feel special the nightmare weapons could just resemble weapons from KOTOR or have cool new designs with basic colours, The quest to change the colour being a nice thing for people to do if they want to! But most of all, Would allow you to setup a money sink and still allow the legacy system to feel like a reward and not a burden which it is now.
  9. *********** awesome bioware thanks for the heads up via email you said you would send after i sent multiple tickets complaining and noting that this is what i wanted done way before the event. Is emailing people so damned hard, There is no point for me to renew my sub if transfers are already done, Nice marketing there i didn't even hear about it Via facebook either. So that's really helpful i miss out because you guys DONT MAKE IT *********** CLEAR. Fixed or i'm gone Seriously.
  10. WRU? Games fine, Sure the game should've been held back and we should not have, had to pay for a Beta test which we did. But overall bioware is trying or at least it looks like they are, They just need to get their team hard at work to make a huge content patch that surpasses this one at 1.3/1.4 Story is great but when you get to the end of the game your about done with the story plus any alts, So most people need a Sunwell to bang their heads apon. So bring the Sunwell, an Operation that kicks everyones ***, not in the "lol another bug wipe woo!" but a nail biting rough instance that gives some reward from trash but the bosses are really tough in the way of fights lasting a while, not "oh this dude can 2 shot your tank, kgo" Some kind of legendary collectible would be a good reason for people to farm, Luke's family speeder anyone? make it 120% then you could also make it a shard system, just for fun!
  11. See times like these is when bioware need to suck it up and say, hmm we'll send you some goodies for the trouble, and send people.. something, a rare pet/mount perhaps a non moddable but awesome 126 bind to legacy weapon token/tokens/potatoes. Everyone understands when you give them free food/beer, it works with ingame items, no reason not to give "BOL" tokens for tiesone gear for our alts!
  12. Patch 1.2 shows Swtor as what we all expected it to be when it came live, and the amount of bugs flooding the game have made this a badly directed beta test. To make it up to the players who've played for so long perhaps Bioware can better a Legacy wide mount for people who have been playing since the first week (i was during early access but people who weren't lucky shouldn't miss out) I suggest a model that to my knowledge hasn't been used yet, And according to google image search is very hard to locate. http://cdn101.iofferphoto.com/img/item/168/463/107/KPZK.jpg http://i.imgur.com/6pQI4.jpg This would be a good sign of appreciation to the people who've been playing your game and sending you bug reports to fix it, Since you still haven't created a pre-made character creation system in the test realms most level 50 bugs are still brought to US to fix. It could scale with riding skill, As world of warcraft speeders do, or at least be a 90-100% speeder model for leveling alts, As the legacy system is supposed to encourage that, And it would be a great show that bioware cares enough to add some gesture of friendship to the players. For those who might think Bioware doesn't need to give us some real token of appreciation most of us have wiped 30-40 times in they're operations, and even more during quests and hard mode dungeons, When Soa's encounter doesn't reset the floor or his buffs don't fall off, when party members disconnect only to get sent into another phase of the same operation.. and so on. Us players should have something special. Thanks, hope to see a shiny red bike soon!
  13. To be added to the legacy system, as it SHOULD have some kind of exp buff, i really don't want to level 8 characters as slowly as it is now. This is my idea. Every 10 levels on a character gives your legacy 2.2% exp bonus. So a max level character would give you a 11% bonus on leveling another toon. at 7 characters its still only 77% which compared to Wow's system is still not a lot. But this encourages people to level alts and as you are leveling you ARE being rewarded and given an easier time at the next. This would help people who dislike certain advanced trees, I think one of the imperial agents trees, the melee based one is rubbish personally and i would leave it until last. 10% exp bonus was EXPECTED with the legacy update to be honest and unless there is an experience bonus i don't think i can give this game as much play as i would like. So far the legacy talents are trival to me, A hardcore raider from Wow who wanted account wide achievements, Account wide mounts, even limited currency transfer between characters. (an example would be, being able to transfer my Tiosense comms/crystals to other alts, being as that tier is basically a JOKE, And the gearing before that is poorly laid out, This wouldn't break anything but the price of level 50 boe gear on the Gtn.) (I used to use wintergrasp commendations in Wow to buy pvp gear to fill the slots that heirlooms didn't while i leveled but blizzard removed them for some short sighted reason, Leveling an alt should be fun, Not a bore right now i'm dragging my feet like i am playing rift which is almost agasint rolling alts questing was like chewing on broken glass heh.) Something else you could consider adding is Animal mounts to the lower speeder range, in the form of Bind to Legacy mounts, Not wanting them to be faster than rank 3+ speeders is fine, but a Ridable Dewback for leveling your alts would be handy also.
  14. So, your suggestion for a game that doesn't work is to not play it basically? sounds like what most people who leave the game will be doing. If the game doesn't improve people will get sick of it, and you'll have nobody to run operations with
  15. Feel free to add more idea's here, Just don't get carried away Companions must still be weaker than the player character, Though just the poor AI in terms of things like movement almost make it impossible to out shine a player. Leveling with certain classes, With certain companions as your starter companions is very Clashy sometimes the team just doesn't work. So Suggestion one would be more choice based Companion Aquiring. But this would require a large re-write of the story and just wont happen. So a better suggestion would be better customization of your First companion. (And the others.) Lets face it whatever companion you get has a screwy talent choice, and limited skills. These companions should be AI using decent to spec 50, A great idea and example would be the pet skills in World of blahcraft. This way you could pick t7 to be Tank spec with some good tank cooldowns and boosts to armor/stamina/threat. Or you could go the dps route with more damage, I know right now there is a toggle "Mode" but its really lame, And half the time it doesn't stay on. Choice of weapons (to an extent) would also be good. I wouldn't want my T7 running around with a lightsabre he clearly shouldn't have one, but he could have a sniper rifle or blaster fitted to his Chassis (Sniper rifles having a limited pool of use at the moment) And the best example would be, Qyzen Fess using a RANGED WEAPON, as the character was designed to have. (Or you could just make him strength as he should've been!) His melee usage for a Sage is horrid you want to pull your own nails out while leveling, and the better tank comes at almost 40, Ugh. Okay so, Mini talent trees for Companions and wider weapon choice under the same Primary Attribute for companions. Another thing, a LARGER SKILL POOL! Right now companions have what, 10 skills? ugh, so lame and some of those are counted as guard/attack/stay. There could be behind the scene buffs they could self apply during combat whenever they meet the requirement, Eg tank when hp below 70% use first, below 50% use second, 30% use final cooldown, if they're up use in order not all at once unless below 5% then use all if any are up all at once. Damage debuffs could just be used by the player like the heroic moment buff. Companion gear at 50 more attuned from the tokens, or separate all together, no point giving my healer companion full columi off-spec if the set bonuses are completely useless, so why not give them a background companion buff +50presence to character (and not companion) and +100presence for the 4 set. Another thing is Presence in the lower levels, It could really stand to do more without breaking anything, People who over pull a second group shouldn't *have* to run back every-time and i see it so often leveling with new players perhaps a base amount of presence in lower levels would be good also. Stims carrying over to the companion or place a presence buff on all stims far and wide! and Food effecting your companion also (out of combat health regen!) As with all my suggestions, I don't drop extra imput to help reduce the trolling in forums, and Since devs are not likely to ask public questions they can send me an inbox which i doubt they will
  16. I don't think granting levels is a good idea. 10-25% extra experience is make or break for me, Else i don't think i can really put that much time into an mmo again. There are plenty of side quests that you should be able to skip if you WANT to.
  17. First quick idea, The shield generators on the large capital ships should make the bridge take take the needed damage to destroy it, or even a single missile shot would be very cool. Also, Archenar Interception for the republic gives you about 5-10 seconds LESS time able to aim towards the capital ship, The same imperial mission and the upgraded mission allow the imperial player that extra time, which enables you to destroy the Bridge and get the bonus mission even at low levels. However the republic side i have only fluked into it once, when i was trying to target through the rock and i couldn't see or tell where i was firing but i must have hit it another 4 times, enabling all my other shots to finally destroy it. The rest of the time its impossible until level 50. I would like the bridge health reduced in some of those missions and i am not sure if the blasters are even able to damage it, i noticed the generators on the destroyer class ships dont take damage or take a very reduced amount of damage from blasters, and require 2 misslie hits. Something that could also be changed Also proton torpedo's could have the requirement lowered to level 25 to let people have more use of these items thanks!
  18. I play a consular and i took up artificing earily before knowing i had no companion with a bonus to it, Lord scourge a jk companion does. I do think this is unfair, i'm already at the point where unlearning all my patterns is not going to happen but how about one of three suggestions here. A. Hk50 - +1crit bonus to all crafting crewskills. so no matter what class you play you still get a bonus to whatever crafting skill you have. B. Swapping companions or trading them, or learning new ones. I know it'd be hard to program one of the other story line companions into a new ship and place but, would it be too hard to swap them at 50? The next xpac would be complicated if anymore companion quests were added for them however. Or C. Pay to swap companion crewskill bonuses, I'd pay 500k to swap one or two to artfice bonuses. And to make sure my companions at max affection NEVER AGAIN, Fail a crew mission. Another thing i'd like to suggest is hk50 not require doing every single bonus quest as rumours suggest because i really would dislike having to do all bonus quests on every character to get him. But i would be okay if he was only obtainable at 50.
  19. Please make a combined Q&A answer thread, adding each weeks answers to the thread. And please only allow the person adding that post to add replies, so all replies are easy to find. If there is a website with the Q&A log please share a link here I'd love to read up on what we've missed.
  20. Thanks, but did you three read my final paragraph? i make more than 600k and then some a day just from selling the materials i have before wasting extra money on the patterns, and i still have nothing to buy with my millions of credits but some crafted materials for my alts. Reported the trolls, hopefully Bioware doesn't allow its forums to turn into trash talk when people who make unneeded comments post for no reason Rest assured that my suggestions aren't aimed at players whatever helpfulness or not can be deemed from my suggestions from the people who run the game are welcome otherwise you seem to be wasting your time otherwise, why even bother trolling suggestions? LOL.
  21. Why thanks for the information but next time don't bother replying to my suggestion posts please if you have nothing relevant to contribute. It could be seen as trolling and it drives much needed suggestions off the forums when you become territorial over a forum you don't moderate or own.
  22. Yeah i'm also not sure if it'll be 100% effective, just it might allow the entire population cap for one server to be on one server, i am not sure what the limits the connected servers will have since they are connected but i was kind of picturing it like this. lets assume for a second one server is topped at 100 people Right now my server the master lestin zharr (something a rather) has 35 republic, and 65 imperial. Its much easier to find a group if one went from republic to imperial but people would still choose to play republic, The server would be best populated if 100 of 100 were in the same faction, enabling more people for groups more people buying/selling etc. But just doing that there are problems that arise like the pvp area Ilum even on my pve server many players still wish to kill the other faction there, so there would have to be a work around, then players wouldn't want one imperial legacy name and one republic legacy name so you'd have to find a way to fix that also.. which comes down to joining two servers. Ideally if servers were joined with systems like Wow's looking for group system creating dungeon groups would be easier, at the same loss of community that wow suffered. And you could do cross server ops, Gtn warzones even ilum if its pvp area was converted to another instanced area. And i also support combining servers to do something *Different* but that is what i am suggesting and want to keep suggesting Idea's that aren't fixes to all our problems but something that isn't the same as everything else and makes everyone think outside the box. I have also suggested idea's about cross server group making interface that works more a match maker system more than, lets throw random peeps in have fun! All my ideas are free for bioware to take, in the interest of improving this mmo i would gladly see any random idea i have used and implemented in some way and would not require credit, I spend my time thinking about these suggestions and writing them because i want to see what this game can become if given the time and energy it needs to grow And while my idea of having one completely imperial and one completely republic server that is attached at the hip maybe not popular enough to have every person want to play on said server, If it was worth the programming it could become something like the role playing servers a small number of servers for a small number of people. Depending on how easy it is to make certain planets instanced areas bioware could do like in guildwars server vs server battles. "Today Coreila is under attack from the imperials, for this day imperials will have access to republic areas and imperial to republic" npc troop movements could allow the capture and loss of many questing hubs and areas with everyone effected and event rewards given it would bring life to an otherwise dead planet. Of course this would encounter the same problem RIFT had with events happening, late at night when your all alone trying to just level some high level just comes to camp you for /fun. I have plenty of idea's some of them based on other ideas some of them just wont be worth the devs time, but instead of trying to discourage idea's, join in at most something wonderful could happen, at least we could help the devs spark an idea on a slow day.
  23. nooo, server merge would be different, but i would also support that. I expect if this worked the servers population would be no problem, and the player cap would be just imp/pub.
  24. Esseless is the only boss i have a major issue with, Saberthrow to my knowledge is not interruptible and the lightning strikes still require a ping under 100ms. I complete both flashpoints you mention with ease most of the time, The fact dps do not always know to interrupt becomes a problem but as a healer i normally get them as often as i can. However the bounty hunter boss still bugs when certain consoles are clicked and others are not, and the ship does go and come and spins and turns and blinks etc. And the ilum boss yes i do also drop my aoe which can knock over adds but if the tank acidently swings aggro he gets murdered. and kiting isn't really an option when the boss still does a fair amount of damage on any decently geared tank. Also if i wanted to cheese the Ilum encounter you can also just get enough aggro on the boss have the dps drop threat and kite him while you attack him at once while he chases you through the tunnels, But i want a balanced fight not lets find tricks to beat him. Nobody is saying make these bosses super easy so we can get our loot and out, I'm saying make them balanced i don't mind a challenge if there is suppose to be one, and if you are gunning for more hard in your hardmodes, Please honk up the Nightmare mode tree, Or release more normal level 50 dungeons for people to learn interupts and lightning dodging skills before moving onto the harder stuff. They could even drop 116 oranges ready to gear with notes that give detailed info about the heroic daily quests that award mods to get your gear up to 124 level The biggest problem with hardmodes as i have said many times is there is no teaching tool to let people know how to act in hardmodes, most go days without doing flashpoints as they level and are lucky to find a group for a flashpoint beyond level 20. So they fresh to 50 think its the next step open to them, not knowing what rotation to do, not knowing how to interrupt or if they should. and i support one million percent having tutoirals to teach people before they can enter hardmodes, even on my alts i would suffer it to teach the few who'd listen.
  25. If Bioware used cross server features to basicly join two realms together like world of warcraft used the cross server *Battlegroups* to join pvping. Then realms could be Imperial or Republic only and the entire servers population would be one kind and grouping and auctions and economy would be Great. Here are the drawbacks and quick thoughts on how to solve them. *Ilum* would be the biggest thought and issue, Make Ilum like warzones which is accessible by both servers, newer world pvp areas could fall under this also. It could even be a choice if you wish to head into Ilums pvp area it would be a warzone like environment on this type of server. Netural Galactic Trade network : Same thing, have it work between the two servers so people running alts on one server would be able to transfer money/goods though it, as they do now (Though legacy system i hope will add a mail system to your own account and on that note) Legacy system : Would have to be active on both servers with a connection so you could have the one legacy name and as a bonus you could now have 16 characters up from 8 (Of course you could code that back down if it were an issue) Now i am not saying this will not be free of issues, it will have its share, some places on planets will be completely useless, it could never really work on a Player vs player server, Ilum would have twice as many people in it, and may even require a wait system, The speeder could take you to a portal to wait for entry instead of flying you right in. I Also know that the resources in making this happen might cost bioware too much to even bother attempting it, Because it could never be every server, It wouldn't work as PVp and even Rp servers may have issues with never seeing imperials. How ever i would love to see how it holds up on a Test server, and if it could be done i would love to see 2-3 of them running under a new category of server. Pve Pvp Rp : Pve Rp : Pvp Joint server Pve. Server names could also match up nicely, a corny example or two could be. Obiwan and Vader Revan and Malak Etc. Please somebody have a serious think about the benefits of this and let me know
