  1. I was DAYDREAMING of a Mission that took me to multiple planets and daunting situations, because of a similar story to Holiday's, but it's a MALE abused hologram that needed saving. He called out for HELP through hacked communications, and Holiday is OBSESSED with saving him. Tharan wanting nothing more than to please Holiday will go to the ends of the galaxy with YOUR help to find this hologram only to lose Holiday to him in the end... the rest is up to YOU LIKE?
  2. POSSIBLY someone with marketing smarts is working on mini-expansions to SELL. I've seen it work really well for various endgame MMOs including ones that have gone FTP. If writers are too expensive (still?), then they can hold fan contests. They can do cheap mini stories with the companions to experiment with as well. I already KNOW from the app world success and hunger for 1st person stories that it will MAKE MONEY.
  3. Dearest Bioware/EA planners, Please at LEAST do these events for 2 weeks, especially if they entail missions like the Bounty hunter one. I started, then as a paying adult subscriber with a Real Life had events beyond my control happen. I was deeply saddened to find I could no longer finish the event that looked FUN. There are few pleasures left in this world; please consider those working overtime, multiple jobs, and still remaining faithful to this game. All the best!
  4. I would and so would millions that buy apps for these types of stories, seriously enjoy spending cartel coins on CONTENT vs. just cosmetic. Once I've spent a million credits max augmenting gear, I'm not going to change clothes for "fun". There are many threads not in this area that ask for more companion stories for the past years. The Star Wars movies and books always contained gentle romance and adventure. New adventures would be like comic book stories and a new addiction for people who are looking for a change up at level 55. Thanks for considering!
  5. I put a suggestion box idea to have cartel coin STORY options! I get so bored of my 55 char sometimes, I'd certainly pay for an expansion adventure to romance or adventure the different companions. At first I hated Tharan, maybe I was jealous, but I dressed him in the girliest clothes I could find lol. Now, he's my favorite, and like everyone said the story line fell flat with Iresso PLEASE "like" my post in the suggestion box if you want more story options (posting new one since I can't find the link
  6. No risk if they sell casino chips via cartel coins for a specific game with PROCEEDS for building the infrastructure. Or set up a pre-order access expansion people could buy. RSI has made tens of millions just to develop what people WANT, and the donators got nothing but promises with teasers in return /shrug. There's such a high demand for this, that they could certainly TRY to set something up with GOAL Specific earnings. Win-win IMHO. Everything has a PRICE... it can't be absolute. #xserverpvp @SWTOR
  7. I'd *happily* lose $60 RL on buying cartel coins for casino CHIPS *IF* the money was earmarked for CROSS SERVER GSF and PVP!
  8. 1. Expansion modules to companion story lines (do you have any idea how much these kinds of story sims make?) 2. Cartel Coins for Lottery IF the proceeds go to building cross server GSF (and possibly PVP) infrastructure (any idea how many millions in donations a couple of space game startups have made recently?) WHO *are* the marketing and financial wizards around here??
  9. Suicide is NOT the answer (ever)! Roll on another server (you can play GSF at level 1!) AND... PLUG FOR CROSS WORLD GSF! I'd buy cartel coins to support the effort Maybe they can take cartel coin casino proceeds and build the infrastructure \o/
  10. There's a guild called Aces (Imp side) A C E S (Pub side) on Harbinger which is heavy on GSF that offers free character transfer. I'm not sure how it works or a good name to ping for invite, but I often see them hanging out on fleet since they are PVP fans. I re-rolled an alt on Harbinger after much research on these forums to find the right flavor and population I was looking for in GSF. That being said, since the GSF boost, Prophecy of the Five has had very fast queue pops and all 4 games I've had time for (during kids' exam and graduation week-ugh) have been CLOSE and FUN with great attitudes Sportsmanship and communication go a LONG way in any PVP scenario. I applaud the efforts and patience for the new pilots. I'm so happy this will go on another couple of weeks at least! <3
  11. "Bombers vs bombers on same node" = bombs blowing each other up! I don't quite understand the line of sight changes, but THAT one is a pretty big deal and saves bubble confusion (both friendly and hostile bombs have red bubbles but red or green description words). I've been blown up under a friendly bomber by a hostile one I only realized after too late was not ours!
  12. I played a few matches on patch day; all three were CLOSE WINS, but the req was more like 2k (3-6 medals). You must be killing on medals with the maxed ships for those numbers
  13. I stayed on Fleet on Pot5, played galactic starfighter (some of the best close games of my pvp life!) and had zero issues, SO I spent half a million credits on augmenting some orange gear I'd been saving. I stand to lose a lot in ship upgrades even if the credits would go back, not to mention all the time spent on finding the exact matching pieces I wanted for my uber cool look!
  14. The answer to a camped spawn point is BOMBERS, love 'em or hate em... We had requests given each game on our faction "If you haven't already, buy a bomber. It's a MUST" So, there are times your group leader may ask for a bomber or 2 to help secure an area. If you are up against an OP group flying circles around you, jumping in a bomber temporarily can help get a kill or assist, even though it's certainly not the "I win button"
  15. We experienced this premade "farming" issue late night this past weekend when the population was low. Instead of rage quitting, I rolled a new other side faction game and won in a completely unfitted ship, while still giving my poor frustrated farmed team a few easy kills. INSERT CROSS SERVER GSF PLUG #999,999 For the FIRST time, I experienced matches against the SAME FACTION this past Sunday night. After so many dozens of games, I didn't know it was possible. Even though I was happy to lose to future PUG teammates, it really does throw the "gear" upgrading to one faction if they have more population. Guess what BEATS VOIP? LAN gamers sitting next to each other physically! Works best for 2-3 players so you can glance at each others screens, but the physical excitement energy and lack of having to push to talk is the best. I would suggest open skype chats for others, BUT you must realize that Skype is a huge bandwidth sucker. Before we got FIOS, we banned skype from the house. If you are landing in matches with the same players over and over, why not invite them to a group and your VOIP? Never hurts to ASK
  16. Sorry, I was being slightly sarcastic in response to the "just don't get hit" response to valid complaints about OP stun probes that work long enough for a light hitting scout to deal full death damage. Seriously, there should be a "get out of jail free" card response to this, but currently your 4 slot ability takes power, and if there's no power left, you can't use it. It's a one-shot sure kill with a slow dramatic seriously piss you off flair to it (Unless, what we experienced was a single pilot stacked exploit and not supposed to happen that way) I'll describe this probe again... Rather than 180'ing away from protecting our capture, I put my shields up and tried to put structure between me and this scout, and what seemed like a likely 2.7 upgraded lock hit me. I then sat there unable to activate ANY ability 1-4, or move even in "slow", nevermind actually boost. I was guarding so everything was on FULL. So, I got to sit there for some 6-10 seconds watching my ship just die to this leech smack dab center of my target site. This kind of solo CC kill when obviously you WILL get locked or no one would use missiles, needs to be looked into. If you have a gunship hit you with ion missle the same time a wingman scout hits you with a lock and probe, OK that takes SKILL and props to that team, but this solo Scout thing, when all they need is 3 seconds to "warp" out of range for defense is wrong IMHO. Sorry for derailing "sabotage" specific thread, but it was a good example of lets put in weapons that have a main purpose of wrecking someone's ability to use their character. I "get" the sabotage... it's like using Fear, which I believe has a multi-MINUTE cooldown? If you put that kind of long cooldown in a 4 slot ability option, no one would use it unless they really really loved it and didn't mind the disadvantage
  17. OK, devs... NEW request. I want all of my 3 second locking strike fighter missiles to do 1500+ non critical damage in ONE hit to balance out the probe till death option. Thanks! [yes this time, Asbetos ]
  18. I will take your advice to heart, and try to stop OCD'ing on my kills. Thanks PS> New thought. If your shields are UP before a probe hits you, will it then not attach? My memory fades on the counters I tried. Thanks.
  19. This brings up the issue (tested once) that during a low population GSF series where you are seeing several of the same pilots over and over, it's quite easy to switch sides and end up on that same team to do with as you wish. In my case, brand new unfitted ship, which is still hard to compete with even when seasoned and trying to kill the same people I was just flying with. We need population! We also need to then separate out the low fitted ships with the maxed ones. It seriously is way too easy to throw matches by changing sides right now. I don't on principal, but did want to see for myself. It's true. [iNSERT ANOTHER PLUG FOR CROSS SERVER GSF]
  20. I totally agree with your last statement here, but getting locked for a missile with multiple ships on the field vs. a probe is impossible? to tell the difference. When we got locked down by this particular probe (it didn't tell us its name), it completely disabled the ship from ALL movement and abilities. I assumed this was the way it's supposed to work, however, after reading several replies and never seeing this before in over a hundred matches, I'm beginning to suspect some new unseen combo exploit? Thanks for the detailed reply, you are a good pilot from what we saw
  21. Cool, so how do you know whether to toss up your shields and continue shooting the guy zipping around in your target sites or run like hell because it's a probe that's coming and not a missile? I'm certainly happy to learn, only have 15 ships on 3 servers, 2 factions, so spread pretty thin trying to find queues at all hours
  22. Yup, definitely, you have not experienced a fully maxed probey scout nor sat and watched the fun and happiness drained from your wicked PVP player kid when hit with an uncounterable offense such as this maxed freeze, drain, kill over several seconds. Have this done to you half a dozen times in a single match, and then come tell me how much of a fan you are.
  23. I'm calling you OUT as EXHIBIT A for why people are quitting and will continue to quit GSF in the future. (Reference 2.8 thread) FUN to a grief gamer, maybe. So, what's the counter to this? I pay for this game to PLAY it not sit there and NOT play it. Thanks much.
  24. Dearest Devs, I will take back my derrogative comment in the 2.8 thread to your intelligence if you JUST SAY NO TO CC (crowd control aka snare/drain/kill) abilities in spaceships PVP, please! I innocently thought the programming was too hard to fix to remove it from the abilities of on the ground PVP players, but now it's appearing in GSF?! Be cool and STOP THIS TOOL From the bottom of my heart, thank you!
