  1. I can only speak for the classes i play but Sorcerers are both easier to play and more useful than scoundrels in pvp, regardless of the spec. Edit: Scoundrels have a decent amount more survivability so they'd probably be a better choice if you like playing solo as they don't have to rely on their team members as much.
  2. If i recall correctly there were usually one light and two dark choices for most allignment responses. One dark was all about being a homicidal maniac and the other usually focused on blackmail, cheating, stealing, recruiting criminals, etc. I think playing neutral, choosing a mixture of light and dark 'charlatan' responses makes the most sense. If you go full dark you're a lunatic and if you go full light you're basically a republic trooper without the uniform.
  3. A very nice idea, but i doubt it'll ever be implemented. With all the positioning in huttball, it would actually be quite fun to watch from a distance. More fun than playing a scoundrel in huttball anyway.
  4. For pve i'd get a full orange set and fill it with lvl49 epic mods, they'll give you much better stats than recruit gear, around 300-400 more and it shouldn't cost too much, depending on your server, maybe 400kish. That being said you could do it in recruit gear, it's not impossible, but it would certainly be a lot harder.
  5. Guess your premade needed more sentinels. 5 Sentinels>2 Sentinels, duh!
  6. If you don't mind having 300ping you could play on the asia-pacific servers, 11pm for you is roughly 3-4pm for us. The servers are nearly always heavy as well and have very fast ques.
  7. Probably Skavak, he had some great lines and has a very good rivalry with the smuggler. After he was gone the story just felt really flat, he was a big part of what made act 1 as a smuggler so enjoyable. I also liked Commander Tavus and Darth Jadus
  8. I don't think this is the same bug, but I have had a bug where i cast Underworld medicine and no cast bar comes up. The casting animation plays and lasts indefinitely, yet doesn't actually do anything. It can be incredibly annoying, as sometimes you think you're casting a heal when in reality you're just standing still with a bugged animation. Sometimes no cast bar appears, but the heal still goes off after 2 seconds, it's very unpredictable.
  9. Biochem, general buff stacking and the Expertise damage increase needs to be fixed before bioware go around nerfing classes randomly. A lot of problems would go away if people couldn't stack consumable buffs and if expertise raised damage reduction by an equal if not higher amount than damage done.

    Buff Operatives

Scoundrels really do need some sort of utility to make them viable in huttball, perhaps they should have an ability making them immune to cc for a short period of time, regardless of resolve. Either that or just give them a long moderate sprint, like the sentinel group buff. I'd also reduce the CDs on Shoot First and Backblast, 7.5 seconds is just too long and the energy cost/cd increase to backblast was unnecessary.
  11. Smuggler- Bowdaar, his only purpose is the recreate the smuggler/wookiee relationship. His conversations lead nowhere and always fall back on how his master was a gambler and he was a slave. He's also a crappy tank and trumped by corso in everyway. The other companions are okay, Akaavi is a little bland, but eh not as bad as Bowdaar. Trooper(Up to Alderaan)- Honestly i'd say the Trooper has the best companions, Dorne, Jorgan and M1-4X are all pretty interesting. That being said the last two companions are probably very bland. I'd mention the inquisitor and consular(up to Hoth), but i didn't care for the class story or the companions, it was all very bland.
  12. I'm certain that's not the case, i've been attacked by floating sabers on a regular basis. Considering you can still target them, it's not that annoying, but their body is definitely invisible.
  13. I've seen this aswell, Marauders are still targetable and their sabers show, but the rest of their body is completely invisible.
  14. Now i don't have the facts to back this up, but i believe your post is highly slanderous against the fine quality of forum goers on this website. Edit: Looking at that last video, perhaps it isn't lag based, i'll have to try it out someday.
  15. Preparing for pvp is always a challenge, i usually partake in -30 minutes of finger exercises -A 60 minute Yoga class -An electronic foot bath -6 litres of coffee After that i am good to pvp for atleast two hours.
  16. I haven't played wow in a long time, since 06 or so, but i recall fear lasting 9 seconds as a 'hard stun' and then you'd get out of it only to be feared again for 6 seconds. In swtor 'hard stuns' last 4 seconds and two stuns fill up your resolve bar. Honestly, i think the resolve system works, it seems to me what most of you are complaining about is being stunlock killed which is more a problem with damage output being too high.
  17. If i remember correctly, Scrapper Scoundrels also laughed when Flying Fists procced UH, but yeah it's a shame it's gone.
  18. Group duels would also be a nice addition. It beats waiting around for ques, even in a 10-15fps environment.
  19. I'd assume not, just a few hours ago i died twice in a match due to hazard pulls and at the end i was recorded with 0 deaths.
  20. I agree, too bad nobody on this forum plays for fun. People here tend to treat this game like a second life/online career. KOTH, Zombie fortress/infected, PVE/PVP experiences, Arenas, FFA, Payload. There are a lot of unexplored game modes from other online multiplayer games, it'd like to see a modern mmo use them, though i doubt it'll happen any time soon.
  21. You think it would be the scoundrel, but no it's the tactics specced Vanguard......In heavy armour. Also Sentinels have a group sprint buff.
  22. Ah, interesting, i didn't know the Field Tech boots had surge. I always assumed enforcer/tech simply had accuracy instead of alacrity and it was only the weapons with surge/power enhancements. I'll have to check more carefully.
  23. Whilst i haven't been able to play much due to work and other commitments, things have certainly been great on Dalborra, the fleet has over 300 people on it during prime times. I feel bad for the people still stuck on dead servers, hopefully a proper charater transfer system will be implemented soon.
  24. Just curious, how do you replace alacrity, do you just buy a bunch of pvp weapons with surge/power and strip the enhancements out? That's the only way i can think of and that would take a lot of pvping to achieve. On the subject of healing, a friend told me to rebind my mouse wheel. I now have mouse up as target closest ally and mouse down as target next ally and it has done wonders for healing under pressure. Before doing this though i'd set your camera out a reasonable amount, say 50% or so as you'll be unable to zoom out with the mouse wheel.
  25. Act 1 feels pretty "smuggler-sih" to me and i thought Skavak was a great nemesis, certainly the best Act 1 antagonist i've seen so far. That being said after Act 1 it goes downhill very fast
