  1. I totally agree, it needs to be reworked to where you are immune to all other stuns/mezz's/ or other Crowd Control abilities for the duration you mentioned. Other games have that ability. The Resolve system is being looked at, and apparently re-worked for 1.4, but I dont feel that it is enough. If they add a immunity to CC effects for 2-3 seconds, stunlocking should no longer be a problem. Nothing more frustrating than breaking a CC and then immediatly being stunned/mezzed again while 2-3 people focus you down.
  2. I pvp on my lvl 50, and then on any toon who is lvl 10+. Regardless of if I took the time to pick up the adv. class. I do the pve for credits and general advancement of the toon, especially when I am valor rank capped. I tend to get 3-5 lvls above content doing that... space helps with this advancement.
  3. Maybe a chance at someting epic, not a 100% guarantee "you kill, get super lootz".
  4. I know dude. I felt like bragging a bit, and what better place to do it than my own "iEgo Thread"? Next time I have the urge to do so I'll add a [DISCLAIMER] tag, lul.
  5. Not sure if serious.......... They (BioWare) could just do what was done in SWG and have an area where the Krayt Dragons reside. Or a new(ish) mission on Tatooine for some End Game PvE, where you have to head into an Ancient Krayt Dragon cave, and defeat some dragons and the end boss could be this Super Grand Ancient Dragon with something like you said with the hp... But giving everyone 100k + some awesomesauce-super-uber-god-like-gears-in-pvp-pve is a bit outrageous imo.
  6. The fix was needed. If you happen to run Flashpoints/OPs, or PvP you will appreciate the emergency downtime. I know I did. I understand the confusion and the frustration.
  7. Lastnight/this morning before the server shut down, after I sent some credits over to my marauder and semi-twinked him out (few purple mods/enchancements/hilts) and after a spacebar-induced BT run with my GM, queued for PvP. Got into another CW, first pub that attempted to cap our East node (grass) opened up and tore him a new one... I think overall he ate my entire Ravage for maybe about 3.5-4k dmg. He didn't try again, alone. Then, a DPS Commando tried to 1v1 me, ripped him up, he came back a few times and seemed to have an agenda of sending me to the spawn screen, which he only succeeded at, once. Just jaw dropping excitement, even against the higher leveled, better geared (assumption), players. Just amazing dps output at lvl 13...
  8. You are a Armortech, you craft green lvl 10-16 belts, you RE said belts to get the Augmentation Slot Component MK-1, along with some other mats that you would recieve before 1.3( e.g. Desh). Sorry if it sounds condencending, I'm not trying to (which I realized I did after reading my post), just trying to lay it out clearly.
  9. Did they give the Token option to everybody? From what I gathered reading the patch notes on this matter was that the token was only granted to those who had already purchased a set of Recruit gear. After patching to 1.3 myself last night, I went to grab my daily, and got the "New Technology" Mission, turned it in amd the options were WarLeader, Vindicator, and the Purchase Token. Being in full BM with 3pc of WH gear, I took the token and profited.
  10. I have noticed similar issues that everyone else is decribing. Mainly in 50 PvP, as a Guardian I leap to an opponet, and instead of them being "rooted" for a few seconds, they end up 2-3 meters infront, behind, or off to either side of me depending on which direction they were heading before I attacked. Quite annoying since the 2-4 seconds it takes for me to get close enough to strike them, they are mobile again. This wasnt the issue before the 1.27a (or whatever the last patch was before 1.3 went live) patch.
  11. I have to agree, my Guardian's MS vs my Marauder's Ravage seems like the Jedi has to like prep it, where as my Sith just goes in blindly swinging. The damage is relative though, since the Bolster system. At least I'm not trying to hit some super geared augmented WH, yet.
  12. That quite literaly put a smile on my face. I'm looking forward to being a BAMF, for the time being. And you are right, will have to do some adjustments. All in all though, I had a great time, better than I have with my lowbie Sin (lvl 21), and Mando (17)... probably on par with the lvl 25 PT Pyro I have on another server.
  13. What I experienced, was that, basically I am amazed at how well I did. I was literally just dumbfounded and kept saying to myself "***! I just wrecked that lvl 33! Are you srs!?! This is awesome!" I'm in my Korriban gears, less the mods/hilts I picked up off the GTN, including the blue boots you can purchase off the Medium Armor vendor next to the Academy entrance (I don't have the Commedation vestment... yet. I still have to complete the 2 Heroics there as well). I placed my 1 point into the middle tree (don't have TOR up so I do not recall the name), but I do know it grants 12% increase to damage with the off-hand saber. I really enjoyed my few hours as a Marauder, so much so that I might just have to shelve my BM/WH Vigilance Guardian...
  14. So, I took my shelved SW and decided to level him up and chose Marauder as my AC. I kinda wanted to see what all the hype was about... if they are really what is said, ya know FOTM. At a mere level 10, I queued for a warzone. Got into CW, and just said to myself over, and over, and over again: Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.
  15. If they implemented a reward system like say, planetary control (similar to what SWG did with the GCW). Where one side gains control of the area and that just means they increase that particular factions presence, with the exception of main hubs (e.g. Anchorhead for the Pubs) which cannot be taken by the enemy faction. That could possibly bring some incentive to World PvP. Still grind gear via WZ/RWZ.
  16. I've done similar, back before I hit 50. With the exception of leaving. I did not attain much Exp, maybe about 200, but that only really worked against those who didn't have the same. It was quite fun, but, once I made 50, I shelved my modded 40 armor, bought Recruit set and I am now clawing my way from BM towards WH. With the cost per weapon being so high (post 1.2) at like 900 comms, its pointless to try to mod your stuff pre50 when you could be trading them for RWZ comms, or capping your WZ comms to get into at least 1-2pc of BM gear to start you off in the post 50 bracket.
  17. Unless they are specifically calling me out, I just let them go on their little rant and carry on playing the match, until we win or lose. There was once, recently, where another memeber asked a Smug to head to the South node in NC, because his dps would be needed, and while he didnt, we ended up ninja capping the East node. I, being the randomly generated OPs Lead, I said "Nice work getting East guys" His response was "Pro Tip: don't ever tell me how to play"In which my response was "you were asked, not told where to go" He must have had a realization or something and responded with "I dont ever go S at the start" then left the instance, as it was over anyway.
  18. If you go into PvP wearing your PvE gear, you will be lol'd at by your own team. Seriously, if you are going to get into saving for BM/WH you'd be better off going Recruit > BM > WH. It is pointless for you to place the BM gear in the bank and use your Raid gear in PvP, better off hanging up the Raid gear than the BM. Then when you are needed for a Raid, it'll just take a simple dusting.
  19. I'm suprised that Coppertard hasn't graced this thread with his theorycrafting on the matter. OT: Mr. KnightHawk, I feel for ya man, I do. On my server, I attempted to use a name that I have used in other games as well, and I had to settle with a variance of it. I had the name in Beta, and when TOR went live, to keep it, I had to add a ' to a portion of it. However, my other names of which I have used as much as the one I had to modify were not used. Picking a popular name has its disadvantages.
  20. Ah, ok. Just funny that I read that and the exact same thing happened to me, in a PUG, on The Harbinger. We took East/West (snow/grass), had excellent communication, called out Inc's then a WH geared Sent took middle and we just tore the Imps apart. ------------------------------- Regardless if in a Pre-Made optimized group, or a PUG, communication is key. If your team doesn't come to aid you (or your team mates who are calling incs, etc) then they probably really do not care if they win or lose, which can be disheartening at times especially when you have your daily/weekly to finish. But, for me, win or lose, I just move on to the next match. Regardless if I have met the weekly win requirements or not. And seeing as how the Daily doesnt require you to win anymore, just play/participate I highly doubt your average person really cares, it still accomplishes something and they can move on to the next match. If they are inexplicably bad, then they probably are an opposing factioned alt who really could give a rats *** in hell since they are more than likely in Mumble/TS/Vent with their friends who are on the opposing side looking for a easy win.
  21. This didnt happen to be on The Harbinger in a Republic PUG did it?
  22. The thing that I think is being overlooked here, and as one guy pointed out (Ahhmyface?), is communication. I pug, 99% of my pvp matches and I do lose fights and matches, and a lot of that has to do with poor communication. Most of the time we have the Ops lead say (for example in CW) "2/4/2", or "2L rest mid". When we get to the ground, I take a second (if no one volunteered in the hangar) and see who goes left, if no one does, then I will. Now, if I even see a slight glimpse of a red name tag approaching my node, i call it out "x inc L" or "x inc grass". Most of, not all of, the time I will get back up. However there is occasions where NO BODY speaks, and those are the games that my team and I lose 100% of the time.
  23. It is really nice seeing new "faces" in matches, on either side. This is reminding me of December, during EGA. Good times all around.
  24. I'm in Battle Master Vindicator gear (head, chest, belt, bracer, leggings, boots, lightsaber) with Weapon Master Ear, Implants, and the Generator. I have noticed an increase in damage output, which is good. Ad when I have a pocket healer, its better. As far as one posters opinion of my personal choice of being a Guardian and not a Sentinel, well... It's just that, my choice. Thank you for the replies and the advice guys. Now... for the WH gear grind :/
