  1. I've played a lot of MMO's over the years but no game gets the story across like TOR. I was grouped up for "The boarding party" and at the end of it ... Its little things like that that keep me engaged in the game and the story.
  2. Once you start the "Knights of the Fallen empire" chapter, you will lose your default companions and gain others. You won't do without, just have a different group of companions. Some new, some from other class stories. But if you level companions to max like I did, that investment will be lost.
  3. Oh, your right. That slipped my mind. I have several characters in a position to do Iokath missions so thats not a huge one. The crappy part is I'm on my smuggler and I haven't progressed past KOTFE but I have leveled 8 50's. I have come to the realization that I will lose them all. Sucks to be me I guess. lol
  4. I've gone through the storyline several times and have a 3rd in the middle of it so I'm not really worried about who lives and dies. I just want to make sure that I end up with at least 8 non-galactic season companions who I can level to 50 for the purpose of crafting/grinding mats Also what about rep? If I skip right to Ossus, will I be able to go back and do dailies on places like Ziost?
  5. I've got one of each class and am using them to be totally self sufficient for crafting. I don't want to level my companions to 50 just to lose them to story lines, ex: KOTFE and seeing as I've already completed KOTFE twice, I don't feel like doing it again, let alone another 6 times. Is KOTFE the only story line chapter that changes your companion roster? What negatives will I face if I do the content post-KOTFE, but skip KOTFE itself?
  6. So I'm doing the HK-51 missions and I'm at the part where I collect the various parts. I play imp but have some pub characters. The mission requires me to get one of the items from the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. Obviously I'll need to do this on my pub character but do I need the quest to do this? I was able to mail the scanning device to my pub alt and they can use it to scan for the HK-51 parts. Will I have to pick up the quest on my pub character to get that one part?
  7. So I've searched this a bit but couldn't find an answer to my question I am currently subbed to the game and am enjoying the heck out of it. I want to re-up my sub as it runs out later this month. I was planning on a 6 month sub but I noticed the Deluxe pack available on origin that gives 2 months sub time, 1050 CC and a mount. More bang for my buck, so to speak. Will this be added to my account automatically or will I get a code to redeam via swtor.com? Does it matter that I don't use origin to play the game? Also I noticed that, though origin has this Deluxe pack listed, swtor.com/buy does not. Is there a reason for this?
  8. I'm new to the game (Well I was a day one sub but quit after about 6 months as all my friends left). Just got back into the game and have been seeing a number of these referal offers. I fail to see how this is a scam if credits are exchanged for a referal. I take 40 million credits, he gets a monthly stipend of cartel coins. Now he may be getting the better of the deal in ther long run but that doesn't make it a scam. Maybe I'm missing another side of this?
  9. I am far from hardcore and not a frequent RP'er unless engaged but I do dabbled (and enjoyed) RP for a while. I enjoyed it most in SWG. Found some in WOW but it evolved into small cliques on a smaller number of servers. Very hard to find. I'm hoping for a fresh start here in TOR. My question is though I have dabbled with RP before, I still consider myself green. How accepting is the community towards new/inexperienced RP'ers? Is it generally hard to find on your average RP server? I'm hoping to find a small guild of friendly and accepting RP'ers who are willing to work with me and tollerate my lack of RP prowess (for lack of a better term). What are the chances?
  10. I'm only a level 26 so far so I have no experience with the high levels of the game and its features but this reminds me of Blizzards blatant favoritism towards the Horde, both in opinion and content.
  11. I have about 15K currently at level 25. Bioware has mastered the credit sink.

  13. This is one of those "Be careful what you wish for" posts. Its a security hole and the key plugs it. Attach the security key to your car keys. you take those with you all the time, I'm sure.
  14. Luke....I am your first cousin twice removed on your mothers side... Nah, doesn't have the same ring to it. I actually support this idea. This system has potential.
  15. Or maybe English isn't his first language. Why do you even bother posting? David, I'm a 7 year vet of wow myself so I understand where you are coming from. Keep in mind that this isn't wow, that there are going to be some differences (some good, some not so good), but its differences is what sets it apart from wow, and in my opinion, what makes it better. The crafting timer is one of those good things, as far as I'm concerned. I enjoy the fact that it takes time to craft something. I think the quality of the item determines the time it takes to craft, so most of the items should take minutes anyway. This is an intentional time sink. Personally, I would like to see a more complex and engaging crafting system, such as what SWG used to have (before the CU/NGE). Linking quests is a common feature in MMO's now and I would assume TOR will implement it eventually, but its a minor feature, which I assume is why it wasn't in at launch. I would assume the PVP level differences is a player management issue. Tossing everybody in the same Que makes it easier for everyone to PVP, less wait times. I'm fairly new to the game myself so I'm not sure what HC means. Hope I helped a bit.
