If you mean that you want the bind effect to change from Bind on Pick-up (BoP) to Bind on Account (BoA) for Market items, I agree. There's no reason you should have to wait 2 days for an item with a bind timer to expire before transferring the item to another character you already own. For instance, I have a canon I want to transfer to my Commando for his use. Even though both characters are on the same account and same legacy, I have to wait for the bind to expire before I can send it to him. God knows why they have this anyway (I assume it's to keep people from flooding the market with cartel items, but that is already a problem because of the number of people doing it). This should be no different than player crafted goods. Bound items should stay bound, and items that have a bind timer should just drop the timer all together. Otherwise, I agree that the bind should at least be BoA.

one of the most unfortunate things about games like this is that there is limited content, especially in the beginning. While I do expect more content to be added (as stated above, someone said they plan to, but you can tell from the game world there are areas where content is meant to be added later), there's still only so much you can do. SWG was pretty good about adding stuff for neutral players in the end of its life, and hopefully game designers will take the whole "third faction" beef seriously and start making multi-faction equipment and content. Until then, we play the way a game is designed or choose another game. I understand you plight and agree whole heartily, but as I said, that's the way the game was made and they did advertise that before launch.

When you say mini map we assume you mean the small map on the bottom right. The global map would be the full screen map. Even with the magnifying glass, the desired icons can hide if you are not centered over the location (which does make it difficult sometimes). If indeed it is not showing regardless of what you do, a reset might fix it, as you intend to try. If not, there was a bug in beta like this, and it might require further guidance from CS. I actually looted a lightsaber once on Kaas. I was doing the Imperial Agent mission and looted it in the Dark Temple. I could not use it, so I disassembled it and took the mods out of it and sold the saber. It was no trade, so I could sell it either.

That's not really a bug. The UI on the map is set that way to prevent your map from being over run with icons. Use the magnifying glass over the map to show icons for areas you are not near. If the icon doesn't show up, it is inside a building and you would need to know what building it is. One helpful way to find Trade Terminals on planets is to look for vendors. The terminal usually isn't very far away from them. On the Fleet station, the Trade Terminal is located in the same area as the class trainers.

Doing side quests is essential, unfortunately. I have played a few characters now, and if you don't do everything there is to do, and more even, you will make it to the end bosses a few levels too low to solo it in your story line. And since you cannot group, you are left to solo a Gold elite 2-3 levels above you. I recommend taking the time to do side quests, and daily missions to get XP and Commendations for the current planet. Use the Comms to buy better gear and mods. I also recommend getting modifiable gear as soon as possible. You can upgrade the gear as you level without having to buy new gear all over again, so would only need to buy the mods later in the game.

The Security Key Vendor also has companion customization stuff. You need to purchase and activate the Security Key (http://www.swtor.com/info/security-key) to use this vendor though.

Orange items can be purchased from various vendors. Try your fleet in the commendations section. There are some vendors on planets that also sell commendation stuff, usually in the main cities. Occasionally I locate orange items from gold elites and security boxes, so it is possible to find them randomly, however they are rarer then purples by my experience. I can't say I have ever been awarded any orange items and I am level 33.
