I'm referring to my experiences. If you have another experience that is fine. Your playtime is not being interrupted, great for you! As I said, I play roughly every other night... perhaps the patches are not every other night, but it feels that way to me due to my schedule. Go ahead and continue attacking me for putting my point of view out there though bud... it's making you look so cool!
At no point have I insulted or attacked you.

Go away troll. You are not wanted in this thread. Why don't you go troll some other thread, I'm sure there is someone having a graphics or quest issue, maybe something PvP related you can harass them about...
Please, pointing out all ridiculous hyperbole in this thread is hardly trolling.
-
Hmm... just a patch on the 7th... whats today? Oh that's right... its the 9th! EVERY OTHER DAY.... right there buddy... and it was the same last week...
So "every other day" but "only sometimes"?
-
I just want them to not happen every other frakking day...
Except they don't happen "ever other frakking day..."

Maybe because when Bioware states that the servers are coming down for "X" amount of time, most people don't come back and even try to log on until "X".
You know, I never saw the purpose or need to use Twitter. Then I found that SWTOR uses it to communicate patch and downtime information so I signed up.
Of course you can also find the announcements here on the forum when the servers are back up.
-
nah, just when it happens 4 times a week. 4 times a week, 4 hours, that's 10% downtime, in the middle of my main playtime. It kinda gets to me
still... the game is worth it
It's funny how something happens once or twice and it's "all the time" but no one remembers all the maintenance periods that have ended hours earlier than they were estimated to take.
-
Bioware has already said they are working on moving to a split maintenance schedule for the US and Europe. But every single time a downtime is posted someone has to complain about it as if it's a new and unprecedented topic.
-
Why shouldn't Bioware re-arrange their entire maintenance schedule around just you? That seems like a valid request.
-
Just because there are issues that you personally deem the most important does not mean they are the most important to the majority of the player base.
Go read the dev tracker. Do you even know what that is?

Every patch that doesn't have a LFG tool is costing you players
Incorrect.

love the new gcd animation also, perfect !
This. The new cooldown rocks.
Whiners be whining.

I'm not interested in a built-in chat feature. I can't remember the last time I used a game's built-in voice chat that was actually worth using.
EDIT: The thumbs isn't showing up.

Only level 9 Legacy here with a level 50, 27, 19, 17, 16 and four or five deleted level 10-11s.

when will we start seeing that dynamism? We were promised is contents would chnge regularly, it hasnt once. It wasn't cheap, when will see the tiniest attention paid to it?
Christ, the things you will people find to complain about.
Where is ASCII Facepalm Picard when you need him?

It threw me for a loop for a minute when I logged in earlier, LOL.
I was asking myself why the heck all these ultra-Star Wars geeks were arguing with each other in threads about George Lucas. Then I realized that I was in the wrong subforum.
LOL, that's exactly what happened to me.

I'm not really sure I like that certain professions get any gear they can't sell or provide to others. That is the point of a profession, it is a tradeskill, a job. You make goods and services for use and provide that service to the market. BOP items don't have a place in crew skills as far as I'm concerned. That is aside from the central issue of Biochem however.
I disagree- there should be a few items that are unique to each crewskill that can only be used by the crafter. Otherwise there is no benefit to choosing one crewskill over another.

Who has been monkeying around with the forum organization?
http://www.swtor.com/community/index.php
General Discussion is now on the right and Star Wars Discussion and Story and Lore are now on the left.

I would love to access the vendor for the faster fleet pass (is it one use only) but I had to replace my iPhone and disconnect my authenticator. Now I am unable to re-add an authenticator to me account.
When is that going to be fixed?

Why is it that during beta (October and November) my system got a steady 110fps and planets loaded in 5-10 seconds but now with the live client that same system is getting only 60fps and planets take 2-3x as long to load? And we even had the "hi-res" textures during beta.
In both circumstances I had all settings on high at 1920x1200 with only shadows disabled.
System:
i2600k @ 4.3GHz
8GB Corsair Vengeance
2x HD 6870s in Crossfire
120GB Intel X-25M SSD (OS and SWTOR)
Win7 64-bit Home Edition
The only difference in my system between the betas and launch was the SWTOR game client. I downloaded a new one all three times.

IMHO multiboxing shouldn't be allowed- to multibox you have to have middle-ware that allows you to push one button on your keyboard or mouse and that middle-ware processes the action onto multiple computers.
-
Tab targeting doesn't work and even clicking on a target with your mouse only has like a 20/80 chance of actually selecting a target.
Why is it so hard to click on people? I tried to click on a person riding a speeder in fleet the other day. Talk about an exercise in frustration.
-
Come up with real world examples all you want, the true reason was simply the recognition value most things in Star Wars have. Hence why a BH gets two pistols (Fett used them!), the Empire ships look like Star Destroyers and the Sith ships like TIE Fighters.
"Fett" used a blaster rifle...
Jango Fett used a pair of blasters.

Considering that EA is the only company that really stands up to the great evil of game publishing (Activision), there's nothing wrong in celebrating that EA is doing well.
LOL, since when is EA not "the great evil of game publishing"? They are everything that is wrong with gaming.
-
I don't what's worse, that EA is doing well or that gamers are celebrating that they are doing well.
Poll: What do you think about the new changes made to global cooldown UI in 1.1.2?

The poll is closed already...?
While the GCD is in effect it's hard to tell what abilities are on longer CDs.
The flashing is a bit much too.
