  1. The situation: I've come back after 2 years and my characters are on a U.S. server. The community I was playing with moved to a EU server. Since I wanted to start a new character to re-learn the game anyway, I started the character over on EU. It's a little disheartening to leave my 50's behind since there's no transfer between NA and EU, but I'm up for the challenge. I had an idea after learning about adaptive collection armor, but not sure if it'll work, so asking here. Since my 50s on the NA server have the ability to run dailies to make good credits, and it would take my EU character a while to level and gear up enough to do dailies, could I efficiently buy collective armor on my NA character, then unlock them for my new EU character? Do you have to have a full set to unlock them, or can you unlock just a armor piece at a time? My account has 2200 Cartel Coins on them, so I can spend a little bit to do this. Just not sure if it's efficient. Thoughts?
  2. Woot! I don't have to grind out 65 more PvP levels to get the pet now.
  3. Last few nights been running a full group (all 50's and one lvl 44) on normal Black Talon runs. Each run granting over 200 points a run, depending on how many times you win a roll on a conversation. So yeah, conversation still nets you social points on the runs, regardless of out-leveled content. It's just the bosses they killed the social points on.
  4. I've thought about it and already have a Republic version of the same toon (low level) with an accent in the name. Really upsets people they can't send me tells easy! lol
  5. ... would I still have the race unlocked per Legacy? Or do I need that 50 to unlock the race for the other classes? (Or credits, but don't have 1.5 mill. ) Reason I ask is I want to remake my main toon, a Twi'lek SI, into a Twi'lek BH with the added Republic customizations I get too! So yeah, wanting to delete my main for the name. =/
  6. I would love to see it in-game too, but for the time being we've been using /roll 20 to lay out the cards, and letting players choose their sidedecks to play with. It works really well, and you can get some immersion playing it on the Gambling Barges on the Lower Promenade of Nar Shaddaa.
  7. I've been very happy with RP on Lord Adraas and do find quite a bit of "out in the world" and random RP. It helps that there's guilds that foster RP in certain areas. Example being there are a few guilds that "live and work" around Nar Shaddaa, and the Slippery Slope cantina is busy with random RP each night. The Republic and Imperial fleets have RP going on every night as well. Not to mention a few guilds have taken up and do RP out of areas like the Jedi Temple on Tython and a smuggler guild on Ord Mantel. There's people that RP apprentices on Korriban and several guilds that RP out of Dromund Kaas as well. I've also run into random RPers out leveling and questing in-character. To me that's the difference: It's guilds and individuals that take their RP into the environment and world, where they RP living and working, interacting with other players, instead of becoming insular. And Lord Adraas has many guilds and individual characters that are part of the world. For someone like me who has Purist RP leanings, it's really nice to go out in-character and interact, and not have to organize RP OOCly.
  8. Zentoyo, my SI. I regret not being able to do that scene again to get both arms in the pic. http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o92/Zephyrene/Zentoyo10-1.jpg
  9. I really enjoyed Andronikos. From gaining affection with him when my toon flirted with other males, to the romantic letters he sends my toon saying all he knows is he'd be willing to fight for her... it was just the type of stuff that left me with a big grin on my face as I played through it. I liked Corso too, but Andronikos was... yeah. <3
  10. I know many people in their 40's and 50's that play TOR, myself being 40 as well. There's a pretty good age spread that plays TOR IMO.
  11. Lol...wat? Not the best way to pitch your own RP community by trying to tear another RP community down. Good luck with your continued drive to expand Sanctum's RPer base though.
  12. My SI is fully light side, but had to turn off Dark Side corruption because it gave her visible appearance changes in facial features. I don't know why, but she started having a permanent snarl on her face whenever I ran through dialogue. Turning it off stopped that snarl look. I came real close to re-rolling up a Consular because of that.
  13. This, ten times over! At the very least remove this illogical restriction. I'm down for getting rid of all faction restrictions, at least on RP servers. Leave the "rule set" in for PvP and specific PvE servers, but all it does is harm roleplay, not foster it.
  14. It's a shame to see arguments of what is "right and wrong" RP style, as well as "bashing" on RP styles that are different from one's own already starting. This is why many a new RPer is scared off from attempting to RP. How about this? Find like-minded people and roleplay with them. And get over to this thread here to support implementation of the roleplay tag: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=440928#post440928 This way people can tell at a glance who is RPing or not. Even as someone who plays with tags off over other player's heads, I still learn to quickly arrow over them until I start to gain familiarity with character appearances. Cheers!
