Where do you get these strawmans from? Strawman factory? Forced event is stupid, plain and simple. As far as the defenders of the game are considered, this game has 2 million players. There should be enough voluntary event partakers to satisfy everyones need, without forcing people who don't care about it to participate.

You wrote a good review on the event. I'd like to add a qq. Why don't they give a full event immunity vaccine. It could be like 5 times the 6h vaccine price, it wouldn't matter. As someone that doesn't want to participate on the event (to reap the benefits or feel the pain it brings) I really don't want to get randomly stunned every 4 seconds or so and eventually die. Lorewise, I find it very unlikely a disease would spread throughout the galaxy without guarantine possibility. If we are quite successful on earth to limit pandemias, I suppose when there's lightyears of empty space between areas it would be even more handleable. I put this into a basket of "don't have enough manpower to do this stuff well, have to rely on random polls and PTS server results". Anyway, the event to me is idiotic and poorly planned. ;tl;dr My sub runs out in few days, you can keep your events. Marry them if you wish.

When I was playing Rift there was a raid that tried to do the same when Volan (server boss, normally about 200 players killing it) was up. They were ripped apart I know it won't work here, but just to say that mechanics isn't bad. Execution is.

What if you took off your rosetinted glasses for a second and saw the game as it is. There's nothing in the game that requires a lot of vram, nothing. If they had done their textures right like EVERY FREAKING OTHER AAA GAME IN THE WORLD. And there's nothing that requires the latest processor model to run the game. It runs even on a single core processor (I know, they have a minimum requirement of a dual-core, but just google it and you find out that people have been running SW:ToR on a single processor CPU). The program doesn't do the load balancing, never. OS does, the program may have been programmed to use threading but still it's the OS that does the balancing over the cores. You're suckering people to get new PCs to play this game, that is lying. If you have a 2 year old middle range computer it's enough.

To me the combat is something I want to experience. I've been longing for aim targetting MMO for years. If only APB didn't suck so much I would've never touched another tab-target game again. TERA might be a POS, but I'm still going to give it a go. Maybe I'll end up like I did with SW:ToR, but I don't really even care.

I noticed when you move the view becomes like you're looking through a fishbowl, the image distorts from the edges. I suppose it's supposed to give you a feeling of fast movement, but I think it just confuses your senses. Can't say it would cause me motion sickness but it did give awckward feeling.

Wrong. Subscribers in their announcement was including people who are on trial (I know, but that's their wording) and those subscribed. You know, you wouldn't be able to get into the game at all unless you did a subscription plan so they weren't technically even lieing.
