    New FOTM

Because after you've already got 2/3/4 other level 50 characters, that you happened to choose the same reroll as a few other people means you're definitely conforming to a FOTM trend right? 2 days ago it was assassins and sages, now marauders.. I've got news for you, go ahead and sit down, it might be shocking. There are 4 major classes. 4. And 2 divisions off each. The chances that you'll see warfronts that you queue into solo that have a majority of one of those is almost an absolute. Chances are, you're never-ever-ever going to see 1 of each class/class archetype in any warfront you will ever join.
  2. Ranked arenas would be awesome, but I hated the way wow did theirs. I would like a few varieties of arenas. 1v1, or a 2-10 man free for all, or I suppose your standard 2v2/3v3/4v4 One of the most fun things that Aion implemented was their crucible arenas.
  3. And the tears of the bad, bad players shall well up and form an ocean to drown out every shadow/assassin and those who play them. Next up, I hear guardians can do an aoe and hit everyone around them for 3-4k damage. Discuss.

    PvP Comms in 1.2

You didn't look at the list at all, did you? Also, merc coms are basically worthless in 1.2, is that right? .. Better get rid of them before patch hits I suppose.

    PvP Comms in 1.2

Thanks for the response. Seems a bit odd to do it this way. PvP coms for crafting mats? derp.

    PvP Comms in 1.2

I haven't seen this addressed anywhere. What's going to be done with the current comms a player has when the patch hits? Should I spend them all before the patch or will there be some sort of a conversion?
  7. Funny part of all this? It's still not fixed. And the work around that you had to do pre-"emergency patch fix" was to get killed and come back and try to play again, still works. Also, new patch notes on pts?.. World PvP Ilum Players are now notified when they kill a player but do not receive credit due to rate limits. They put in limits on how much you can get, they just didn't tell anyone about it. There's your bug. How the devs, crs, and people trying to make this game better can fail so hard at just basic communication about what patches are actually doing is outstanding and really doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the longevity of the game.
  8. This is a joke right? You never fixed exploiting and trading on illum, but definitely report people for doing this...?
  9. Perhaps they are concerned about being so heavy handed with their changes now that many players are seeing the lack of end game content and will be less likely to stick around. Or perhaps they have too few people or just too few people who know what they are doing. It's really a toss up at this point. Probably a bit of all of the above. Though, they did ban level 20s for going to Illum and picking up chests all day (I still see this periodically)... Really makes me wonder why more people don't do it. I mean, you're not getting stripped of valor, gear, or banned - why not do it. We even had a thread outing those who were doing it on The Fatman, and the forum police said "You're not allowed to out people for exploiting on the forums, we'll delete those posts". So that removes any sort of public outcry or backlash upon those who do it. And the benefit is valor rank 60 in fraction of the time it will take anyone else that's not participating in the cave grind. Again... why didn't I do this to get BM weeks ago? pfft.
  10. This game IS broken/not polished/not complete (and don't give me that tired old line about an mmo never being finished there is a big difference and you know it). Bug fixes on this massive of a scale, that introduce even more problems indicate that the above is very true. It was slotted to be in beta longer, but in true EA fashion the cycle was cut short so that the game could be rushed out before Christmas. Hopefully enough people stick around to see the game in better shape than it is currently. What really concerns me is the same people who ruined Warhammer that are now working at EA/BW are going to ruin this game as well.
  11. So wait... You're dumbing down the only useful profession at this point, so that it's as worthless as the rest of them? There's absolutely 0 reason to craft anything if you pvp in this game as opposed to pve. Awesome - we can sell med packs and stims now. Why exactly would I want to do that? Do you have any idea how much money I have and make and throw away because there's nothing useful at all to buy or do with my money? And skill based pvp, that's fantastic. I love the idea, and you should have started it out with that. But reality is, you have a gear based mmo. No amount of skill can stop me from being stunlocked (resolve is absolutely broken and useless) and no amount of skill can stop me from being backstabbed for 5k at a time. Each successive patch and list of ideas from you folks makes me seriously concerned about why I'm putting any amount of time into any of my characters and continue paying to beta test this broken wreck of a game.
  12. I wish we were outnumbered.
  13. I find it absolutely telling about the state of pvp in this game when the "wah I want a white lightsaber crystal" post gets 3-4 comments from csr, or devs, or whatever you want to call them... And you scan through and see how many of them have replied to a pvp thread, or said anything about the current state of illum, or commented about the numerous posts about valor trades.
  14. What really sucks, aside from the trading itself is the republic keeps crying about pop balance, when half the time... it's non existent. At least on Fatman. They will stay in their base and wait for people to be drawn in to get 1 shot by the gun rather than come out and actually fight. I've seen 2x the number of republic sit in their base instead of coming out. Kill trading means actual pvp is too hard. Best just hug on that 1 shotting gun you have.
