Why do you make it so hard? First - Downloading the game from the origin client (which was used to initially purchase at launch) doesn't work. The SWTOR launcher comes up and all the login entry fields are grey'd out. When I plugged in my information it just said the server was unreachable, logs supported the same. So, ditching that effort and going to forums to see what the solution is. After googling the issue it brought me to a page where a tech support "robot" runs through his normal spiel, and at the end when nothing was working (pings and traceroutes) told the guy to download the game from the website instead. Might as well try that... uninstall SWTOR and head to the webpage. Okay, now it works... But, the game is running in 800x600, ****. Attempt to change the resolution to 1920x1080 failed. Everything went black. I said "okay... well, I'm going to need some game time, even though the resolution is messed up, lets order a month or two." Well, not only was my game messed up but apparently changed my resolution on my desktop 800x600, I couldn't read anything: http://i.imgur.com/p3mktqs.png During the entire process I had to receive 3 "One-time passwords" : http://i.imgur.com/y1sswgB.png Jesus. Okay... I'm in finally in. Need to alt tab to Chrome to check something... and blank: i.imgur.com/zOqijfK.png. I had to force close SWTOR and restart, set resolution to 1920x1080 fullscreen windowed mode... Take 104, lets try again, login, everything is peachy ... and of course my character's name is taken: http://i.imgur.com/eFwniPd.png Once in game, i get a popup message on the left that says "new graphic settings are available." I said, "fine, lets check them out." LoL, everything set to "Very Low". I have 2 780's SLI... which isn't exactly new, but not bad either. Edit: And after 2 years, they haven't fixed the nameplate resizing bug for SLI, warzone party sometimes not in raid frames, and ... mouse still sporatically looks at the sky.

This is still happening.... I just right clicked on the pvp icon to leave a solo ranked queue, and lost 15 rating. I did NOT decline a wz pop.

I'm not sure what's going on, and yes, it's kind of a useless post for now; until I figure it out... But, something has changed today since this last patch. TTK shot through the roof tonight on all my characters. My Op, full expertise, more than half brut gear was globalled (literally globalled after a stun) in an arena match. My Assassin and Sorc are not doing too much better, and feels like I'm wearing recruit gear. Is anyone else having issues like this? I play these chars ALL of the time, and I've never experienced a night like this.

MidichIorian is right. The PT some how got out of spawn early, and was waiting for the pylon to light up. He was already capping as we dropped from the spawn area.

I don't know if it will help you, but in my situation, my SLI 780's were having problems with nameplate scaling. I had to turn it off. My FPS cuts in half with I turn them on. Must be some kind of programming issues. Give it a try.

You're spot on Dawg. Sometimes I queue up with my sorc who is a mix between obroan and conq. I know we're getting a new set of gear, so I didn't bother augmenting my ear and implant. 2018 expertise, decent stats w/ power mods/enh, and I get yelled at all the time. "Go get gear n00b".... "please stop queuing...," etc. The whining stops usually when I get top damage out of the group.

This thread is so depressing. I think player housing is an awesome idea. What I'm hoping for is the ability to buy/sell lots, so there is a [kinda] market for it. Also, if they had a community area in the "lobby" or something, that replaces the fleet (soooo... tired of the fleet,) that would be great too. And you can't deny a legacy bank is not wanted... I've been wondering why they haven't done it since the start of the legacy system. Answer: Yes - If done properly.

Sounds like you screwed yourself out of extra comms/experience/valor. You realize the shorter the warzone, the less **** you get right?

I only have 7 slots displayed on my quickbar. When I gain new abilities or switch specs, the new abilities get put on slots 8, 9, 10... etc. Which means I have to go into the interface editor, expand my quickbar, move the abilities, back in to the interface editor, change my quickbars back... Very annoying.

Okay, so... Whirlwind is an interesting idea, as long as he doesn't push you right after his ravage. The timing would really have to be perfect; avoiding the first 4 seconds of immunity, and before ravage ends. Seems unfeasible in reality, but I can give it a try. Basically just running and hiding. The other option is to face tank a jugg/guardian as a sorc (insert sad face). Doesn't seem too balanced to me... Not many options to choose from. (DPS Sorc btw)

Can someone give me some PvP tips on dealing with middle tree Juggs/Guardians? This is the worst class to deal with as an sorc or operative imo. There is no way to control or get away from a leap/full ravage to the face. And once you do, they jump right back at you with more stun immunity. Unfortunately this game is designed around stuns/roots/mez (which i don't necessarily agree with) but none the less... I just can't seem to escape and get some distance between him and my squishy char to start DPS. Any tips would be helpful.

Not sure if you know what an Operative is, if you think that was one.

I have a strange work schedule, with weeks at work, then weeks off work. I used to be totally addicted when I was off work. Played for 24 hours straight, or until I fell asleep. Woke up, got some cereal, logged back in, and queued for a WZ. I would create templates and junk on askmrrobot while at work, read forums.... Then I started traveling lately, and getting laid! Its amazing how little I care anymore. Sure it will be nice to play a few wz's when I get home, but it has seriously dropped on the priority list. Its been about 6 weeks since I've been home and played. TLDR - If addicted: take a break, travel somewhere, get laid. That will cure you.

I don't think the comparison between NM Ops and RWZ applies. Ranked warzones were intended to be RANKED. Teams playing others of an equal team rating. This is not how it has turned out, due to the population. Doing NM doesn't affect anyone but yourself. RWZ is totally demoralizing and discouraging to other players when playing a team WAY out of their league. And I'm speaking from both sides of the coin here. There's no incentive for new teams to skill up, it'd be murder. You're right, with the server transfers from the pacific servers, it did pick up for a month or so... but it seems like they are quickly dropping like flies. And I'll throw this in there just to rile you up... it's sooooo boring. The same teams, the same comps, turtle tactics...blah. When will something new come out? Answer: 2.4.

I don't think that I'm way off base here. There are only about 3 teams that queue on my server on the regular. And when they do queue, they have to message one another to make sure they are also playing. You very rarely see a new guild in the works. Can you explain this? Can you explain why you don't see kickball matches, or pug teams anymore? I can, because it's no fun. It's been more than 6 months since I've seen any messages in fleet chat from someone wanting to put together a ranked team. Maybe I'm not seeing them, idk. Ranked warzones have turned into the elite vs. the elite with no room for anyone else. Like I said in a previous post, if there were cross server queues, and had the population to support matches based on RATING... we wouldn't even be talking about this. I understand you feel differently, and I respect that. This is my opinion.

Don't go assuming what kind of person I am, you would probably be wrong. The current state of Ranked 8v8 PvP has completely fragmented the PvP population. Folks on top don't like to give it up... I completely understand. But 8v8 isn't good for the community as a whole right now. Tell me they are bringing cross server queues, and I'd agree with you... but that doesn't sound like it's happening.

The only people complaining about it are the 1 or 2 teams per server that are on top. It's time to evolve, it's time to try something different, it's time to let others join in the fun as well...
