  1. I believe you are asking if the 2.6 changes will mean Scoundrels aren't forced to be Healers and can be DPS in Ops groups now. Honestly, the Dirty Fighting Tree is great for DPS in Ops groups even in 2.5 but a lot of people ignore that and seem to think Scoundrels should still only be heals. The 2.6 changes should make Scrappers great for DPS in Ops now as well, but the same people who claimed DF Scoundrels can't come in Ops teams now will likely say the same about Scrappers come 2.6. Long story short: 2.6 will just make it so both DPS trees are good now instead of just one. So someone who would not let the good tree in before will likely not change their mind with this.
  2. Whelp, that's all the assurance I needed. I'll just be sure to avoid taking any shipments to Alderaan until whatever rabid whatevers get taken care of and this all blows over. Ah, who am I kidding? If the fee is right I'll still be there.
  3. Hah, I love massively necro'd posts. Anyway, as I am finishing up my first Imp now after several pubs, I cannot see any way someone could argue the Empire are not the bad guys. Every time you choose a dark side option on pub people act horrified and say you are a monster. Pretty much every time you choose a light side option as an Imp you are basically ridiculed and called weak or stupid unless you can justify it with some sort of alternative reasoning. Half of the Empire story arcs are basically to do evil for evil's sake, or at least for very minimal advantage. There might be bad apples in the Republic and there might be some non-monsters in the Empire, but both are the exception from everything I have seen in this game (and most of the bad apple pubs can actually be defied/turned in on those missions).
  4. It's not just for the kits, it's for the augments as well. And Synthweave makes different augments than Armormech.
  5. My Take: Smuggler: Scoundrel (just feels more sneaky to me, more of the sneak criminal) Trooper: Vanguard (Rifle feels more squad leadery) Knight: Guardian (Iconic 1 Lightsaber look) Consular: Sage Agent: Operative (Sneaky sneak) Bounty Hunter: Both seem equally fitting since they don't feel as different as the other ACs Warrior: Juggernaut (1 Lightsaber still feels right) Inquisitor: Sorceror (Force Lightning for everyone) They all fit obviously, but this is how they fit best in my mind. Not that this is how I would choose to play them, but still.
  6. No Cunning. Pretty much the way it works for this game is only one class uses each main stat. Trooper/Bounty Hunter: Aim Smuggler/Agent: Cunning Knight/Warrior: Strength Consular/Inquisitor: Wisdom And they all use Endurance.
  7. Wow, major necro-post strikes again! But yes, you can take 3 gathering skills and no crafting skill. You can only take one crafting skill however.
  8. Harsh, but sadly seems to be pretty common. It seems to be accepted that if you are a Smuggler you should either be Heal Scoundrel or Gunslinger. And Consulars should only be Heal Sages. And Knight should be only Tank Guardians or DPS Sentinels. And Troopers should just reroll, because you should just play one of the other ones if you want to be a Tank, DPS, or Heal. Ridiculous.
  9. Once you add the security key option you have to use it to edit your account. So they cannot link it to a new phone without having the security key code. At least that's how it seems to me. The security key basically replaces the security question thing with something more secure.
  10. I'm more worried about PvE. People whining about PvP should not cause a PvE hit.
  11. Yeah, I guess I more meant that the Armor Penetration is reduced by 40% (50% down to 30% is weakened by 40% overall). I suppose if I cannot tell without a DPS calculator it won't be too bad, that's the real fear.
  12. Generally speaking I tend to avoid the PvP stuff so far in this game. Too much whining and I can only assume lots of changes will continue to happen until they get things relatively balanced. How much have people tested the new changes PvE for Scrappers(on Test I'm assuming)? I haven't been able to try it myself but on paper it looks like our PvE damage is going to be reduced by about 40% due to the Flechette Round change. That will be an enormous hit to PvE for a PvP issue. I can't test it at the moment but I was hoping for some input, really not looking forward to seeing my usefulness in PvE destroyed.
  13. Honestly I think it is just a proc thing in general. I've noticed it more on my Trooper but they both do it. I hadn't been able to pin down the cause but this certainly makes sense.
  14. It seems like people are ignoring the main issue here. He not only does not want to play a melee character, he also wants to use a gun. Not a portable cannon. I chose Vanguard because I wanted to make a DPS trooper without walking around with artillery in my hands. And it really does use very little of the blaster rifle itself. I still enjoy it but I can very much so imagine people being uphappy that you focus more on using grenades/explosions or melee attacks when you have a perfectly good rifle in your hands. (see also Scoundrel, same issue).
