  1. It isn't just the landscape and costumes. They've done a wonderful job with the characters too. My female characters are really pretty. Contrast that with how ugly they are in Dragon Age: Inquisitor ! Yuck !
  2. Now there's a thought -- next time, BioWare can use females for the motion capture, and then my characters can walk like the women they are. And, of course, the men would also walk like women. Equality is grand !
  3. I agree with OP. The way my female characters saunter or even swagger, as if they were some kind of immature male lout, has bothered me since Day 1. I don't walk that way, and neither do any of the women I know. It's almost as if the developers designed the game and its characters for and about males... and then at the last minute realized 'Oh yeah, we want women to play this too', so they added some female skins.
  4. I love that Marmite brings out haters, but I hate that they hate Marmite. And I hate that people keep talking about other things when we're trying to talk about Marmite. And Vegemite, but I like it less than Marmite, which means that relatively speaking I hate it. Which means I qualify for this thread, which I love. But....
  5. I hate that Vegemite copied Marmite and then pretend that they didn't. But I love Marmite. I'm still confused. I hate that
  6. And BTW, I hate that there are no cats in this game. No cute little moggies to jump up on the table in my Stronghold, where they know they’re not supposed to get up. No sleek pussycats to prowl around my spaceship looking for the litter box. No cats. I hate that.
  7. I hate hate. I hate that I can’t tell whether that means I can’t be part of this thread or that it means I can. And I love this thread, which makes me wonder again if I’m OK to be here or not. I hate the thread for making me feel that way. I hate paradoxes. I hate that if someone can sort out whether I’m allowed here I’ll love them, but then I won’t belong here… which I would hate. On the other hand, if no-one can sort it out, I’ll hate that, which means I can stay – but I still wouldn’t know whether it was right that I stay. Which I would still hate. I hate that I’m going crazy. I hate it that I hate that. When will this end?
  8. Actually... I spoke too glibly. The story I'm experiencing as a high elf IS very good !
  9. I haven't done ANY of it. Nada. the game is too boring now. I've been playing ESO, which has the advantages of novelty and the sheer beauty of the world... although the story sucks and there's no romance. Keep thinking I'll return to SWTOR -- but every time I start to, I play for a few minutes and realize that I'm bored silly and pack it in. And I write as a true fan-girl since beta.
  10. A number of posters have commented that in 1-50 SWTOR the characters have only had straight relationships, and so ‘straight’ is what they are. Others have referenced ‘real life’. Putting those two thoughts together… I personally know several men who were in heterosexual marriages of several years standing (with children too) — imagine how flabbergasted their friends and family were when they eventually came out as gay ! Likewise, several of my fellow-lesbian friends have previously been in heterosexual marriages. My point is this… there is no inherent implausibility in a character who has behaved as straight coming out as gay/lesbian or bisexual after a few years. Of course, it would strain credulity if every companion turned out not to have been heterosexual. But why not a few of them? Just saying.
  11. One odd thing... All my characters are female. And all of them are (or will be) in love with Lana. So in effect Lana has a harem! Just saying.
  12. Well not exactly as FACT, Divvers! I did say 'if true', and 'could it be?' It IS speculation, I know, but it would also be a very neat solution for BW, no?
  13. Could all this fretting be moot? If I understand comments made in other threads... most if not all of the current companions are to be lost, and new ones introduced. And many are saying that the new characters will not be confined to a single class, but available to all classes in that faction. If that is true, then BW will probably have 1 or 2 lesbian characters, 1 or 2 gay male characters, 1 or 2 bisexual (or equivalently, player-sexual) and 1 or 2 straight. In that case, the only fretting would be from players who liked a particular companion, but did not like his/her sexual orientation.
  14. I suspect it's because the mods want to keep the number of SGR threads down -- I'm sure you remember how many times in the past other threads were closed off or merged into this one -- so there's really no choice BUT to necro this thread if you have a new thought about SGRs. BTW, long time no see... has all been well with you?
  15. Well, not over the WHOLE world! Not in MY country.
  16. Gosh, if they prohibit stupid things in SWTOR I'd start watching my back if I were you!
  17. Well, you're contradicting yourself here. Putting SGRAs in is nothing BUT voicing the characters and providing story content. So you should be happy, no? Unless of course there's some OTHER reason you're against them putting SGRAS in?
  18. Wow! You take a day off, and miss all the excitement! Could someone PM me and let me know what happened, please?
  19. Hmmm. Quite a little collection of buzz-words. Your hatred is showing! Allow me to inject another cliché: homophobe.
