  1. Yep this game wins worst model in my book as well. The cartel market pretty much highlights everything wrong with the game. No, this isn't a rant about micro transactions I don't mind buying cool looking gear. Buying emotes or stronghold items. What I mind is that its the *only* way to get good looking gear or emotes/etc. Hell, part of the joy of playing these sort of games is grinding your way to some objective. Or getting lucky with some random loot drop that looks nice. That simply isn't possible in this game. When was the last time you found something neat off a critter? For me it dates back before the cartel market and getting my first Hydra chest piece.
  2. Pets, emotes, titles, disguises (like the holo-shrub) Perhaps a chance cube like the cartel pack gives, only for other items. Think of a free stronghold, or room expansion token. Or legacy wide character unlocks (like summoning a mail device, or companion accepting gifts faster) Or, revamp the player ship into a stronghold like environment, let us use command tokens to deck it out. Hire crew members to make it more lively, add in some decorations etc etc. Or lastly, a really wild suggestion, allow us to improve the base stats of our character. Think of everquests advanced abilities. You could spend tokens to give yourself a *really* small bonus to stats. Like create three tiers of energy resistance, that starts at 1% resist, 3%, 5%. Each tier costs x amount of tokens. It would give a person a goal to grind towards.
  3. On ebon hawk its the exact opposite. Light side wins every time, all the time.
  4. about 9 boxes with zero set bonus pieces. Gotten to the point where the only thing I have to look forward to is disintegrating items to speed up towards the next crate. Seriously, give me one more pile of jawa scrap, I dare you. /mutter
  5. This is just insane. I was thinking it was just a bug, getting one point for killing a boss on veteran, same as story. Oh and the reward boxes themselves suck. First crate I got blast rifle with zero mods in it, and a schematic to a trooper weapon. Considering the character is a sith warrior with bio trade skill I was not impressed. Second crate I got an implant. Not even bothering to mention the companion gifts, since those are fairly pointless.
  6. Already retired my jedi guard because of bubble stun. And I am bloody vigilent spec. (3 sec cc immunity on force leap) Decided it during a voidstar where after the 3 seconds, not one, not two, but three bubble stuns popped around me. The real kicker is it didnt even fill up my resolve 25%.
  7. Stealth isnt a gap closer. Dear god, how many classes have a knockback? Stun? slow? Do you have any idea how long it takes to get out of combat to restealth? Gap closers are like force charge, intercept, sorc sprint, pull. Things you can do while in combat to close distance. Also, if an op is taking off 50% of your health with their opening move, perhaps you just suck? I can only do that damage against folks rolling around in green gear or not bothering with any expertise. In which case, every other class could gank you much more easily with far less setup (see grav round spammers and tracer rounds or any sorc/sage).
  8. Part of the issue is there isn't much you can do even if you learn all the sorcs/sages tricks. Recently got out of a huttball with 6 sorc on my team. I play an operative, the other team was fairly well balanced. We destroyed them, even though our players were mostly idiots. Why? Huttball: Sprint, bubble, pull. Another sorc sprint, bubbles, pulls. Huttball ends. But you say, why not kill them if they are in your end zone? Sure, when this has happened to me, I try, and its usally a 50/50 chance of it working if I am on top of my game. Normally it ends with me either being cc'd or knocked off a ledge and them going about their business. (I play an op, so thats game over for my damage potential) Civil war: Sprint to turret, cap facing away from enemy = free turret start unless a sage counters you. Voidstar: ae those ever loving doors non stop. Oh you ran out of force? Die, the 3seconds it takes you to respawn will fill that mana back up. Not an ae dmg dealer? Throw down a healer circle and laugh at how nobody ever dies.
  9. Idiot, I am not assuming that they are in fully geared cent. I am assuming that they at least ran a decent amount of pve content to get orange/blue armor that is equivalent to their the level. What I do not like is some bozo, rushing to level 50, using level 40 greens and thinking pvp is an easy way to gear up. It might be easy for him, but its hell for his teammates.
  10. Shamefully? If the person did not take the the time to gear up to a proper level before entering pvp perhaps they shouldnt be there. If they really wanted to play though, they could just create their own team and get rolled all the time. It'd be like a jugg tank with 10k hp wanted to tank hardmode eternity vault. You would laugh his butt off and tell him to get reasonably geared first. I have little desire to handhold people using level 40ish greens in the 50 bracket.
  11. I avoid void stars like the plague. Way to fast a respawn. Also any team worth a hoot can keep the other team from planting an explosive. I'd really rather not spend 15minutes looking at the same door, only to end in a loss for both sides.
  12. You can do nothing. Bioware bans nobody. We reported a afk bot on our server rubat crystal, and what action did they take? None. Guy is still doing it. Got up to champion doing jack. All he does is move randomly every now and then. Maby hit auto attack once during his time in game.
  13. It certainly does mean they are a waste of space. If I drop a sorc in 4 hits when they have bubble up they are helping no-one but the other team. What they did wrong was not gear up to a respectable degree before joining the warzone. It'd be like that same guy expecting to go on a hard mode eternity vault raid with green gear. They'd laugh his *** out.
  14. So.. voting to kick someone based on crappy gear is wrong? I hate to say it but if I see a person using mostly green gear in a warzone I'd vote them out in an instant. I dont care how good they think they are, they will just get pounded into the ground by the first idiot spamming tracer missile or grav round. Speaking with some experience here, played as a 50 jugg and 50 op(Both of which are around rank 70, omg I pvp to much). When I see a person with 10k hp entering a warzone, I know its a wasted slot.
  15. So using stealth is an exploit in huttball.. Thats special. I guess we ought to call out all the folks who use, grapple, sorc sprint, and pull users as well. Or you know, you could have a stealth user on your team just check the goal line. Its kind of clear if a person is trying to set up a pit pass. Cause you know, they walk into the pit. Or hell anyone could do a quick run around endzone to make sure its clear. Some classes even have ae to check (omg all of them nerf ae!). Finally, you do realize that if they sacrifice a person making the game a 7v8 person raid for all intensive purposes, maby you have other issues?
  16. Ranged auto attack, are you kidding me? Anyone who is using that for dps is in idiot. at best its something to do while you close distance. I'd gladly give that up for any sort of gap closer. Hell I'd toss in grenade as well.
  17. Of course agents need a gap closer. Our ranged attacks are basically a joke. Every other class say except for mercs have some means of getting into range of a target fast. And they at least are a ranged class. As it stands, soon as I exit stealth I either kill the target within a few seconds (which is impossible if the target was at full health, or has a bubble) or I just do some damage and die. Escape, isn't an option. Cloaking screen? That thing is a sad joke, 2 minute timer if its spec'd and it breaks on any dot. Purge the dots you say? Well chances are good one of a eight councliers you just got grouped against dotted you. Oh and the real kicker? Using your two minute timer and dying to a dot or ae gives that person a free 1vs1 assassin medal. Grats, you just made his day. Attack or jugg/sorc or republic equivalent? If they have half a brain all they do is use throw/knockback on you and go about their business. You will not catch up to them in time. Also, since your in combat, no stealth for you.
  18. Yes because clearly an instant kill because you got pulled into a safe zone is the same as getting stunned in a pillar of fire. *sarcasm* The safe zone is there for one reason and one reason alone, to prevent lopsided teams getting farmed.
  19. Its obviously an exploit. The gms are just afraid to admit it. People hiding about "Cheating is encouraged". The obvious counter to this is just to assign several people with grapple to do nothing but stop ball carriers. Congratulations, you just made huttball even more annoying.
  20. crazy question but whats the difference between the pvp servers and pve? Yes, I know its focused on player vs player combat, but do you have to be worried about getting griefed? It'd be annoying to get camped in a newbie zone by folks 10x your level. It'd bring unpleasant eve memories back Also, are there rewards for killing people outside of the instances? Since I assume on such a server you'd occasionally run into folks from the other side.
  21. Funny, I don't recall reading that the amount of pre-order time you get is based on when you pre-ordered. Then again I only read the retailers website, I didn't go looking at these forums Not a big deal for me, but I can see where others would be miffed.
