PvP. The only reason I play SWTOR is for PvP. Unsubbed because the world is static, boring, bland, confined, and linear; community is the worst I've ever seen in any MMO, and the PvP is going nowhere, 1.2 be damned. Can't wait for GW2.

No, they're fine. I eat them alive with my powertech, sniper, and juggernaut; focus them down. Interrupt their lightning. The bubble doesn't absorb THAT much damage, and casting it leaves a debuff timeframe which leaves the Sorc/Sage very vulnerable; a good sorc/sage will DOT and LOS and heal up, but without cover and with more than one enemy on your arse, you're done. The argument comes remains that they have a LOT of CC, which they do; also, a lot of sorcs = a lot of damage and CC, which lends to the misconception that they're overpowered. But how is that any different from having, say, 4 snipers in the group, spamming Ambush, or four mercs spamming tracer missile, or four powertechs spamming rail shot? They're fun and appealing classes which garner high numbers. We'd be hearing the same arguments about snipers/hunslingers if they were as numerous as sorcs/sages.

In all honesty I haven't ever become so bored with a game so soon. I'm waiting on GW2. I'll keep playing until then, switching it up with alts, but the foundational boredom remains, unfortunately.

So you're saying there's a difference between class specialization in SWTOR and Skyrim, aside from the obvious game differences? Why is it EXISTENTIALLY HORRIFYING to spec into a popular build in SWTOR, but par for the course to do so in Skyrim? Both are story-driven RPG's. Both have niche specs that are universally agreed-upon as to maximum functionality. The only differences? You have to "share" virtual space with other players with your same or similar spec, and therefore you aren't a precious unique snowflake who's TOTALLY UNIQUE FROM EVERYONE ELSE. And, GASP, you PvP with an efficient spec that others recognize as being superior! OH NOES! I DON'T WANT TO CONFORM TO THE HERD! I'm sure the 10 other Vanguards on your server are in agony over your decision to be JUST LIKE THEM! POR QUE!?!? This thread is simply your fragile ego taking a crap all over the forum, and your total and complete lack of awareness as to how MMO's work. Quit your whining, babycore.

How's the PvP in Skyrim? Oh, wait. You do realize that you'll probably be going Enchanting, Blacksmithing, and [insert combat tree here], right? I disagree. I took my 15 sniper into Voidstar the other day and walked away with 7 medals. Purely anecdotal evidence, but there's one viewpoint.
