  1. I did all of the suggestions in Post #1 and #2, and it helps quite a bit, but one thing that has popped up is that whenever I am scrolling down a webpage with a bunch of text, there is what I would describe as sort of a "ripple" or "screen tearing" effect that is super annoying. Anyone know which setting I should restore to fix this?
  2. I canceled my subscription a couple months ago, not sure if I can still post or not, but here goes: The biggest reason I quit is Bioware's hardline stance against damage meters and addons. Playing an MMO without damage meters is like watching a concert on mute. Sure there are a few visual clues that are mildly entertaining, but you are missing all of the important and interesting information. I have zero interest in playing an MMO without damage meters to analyze, so I seriously doubt I'll ever be back There were lots of other reasons, like the pathetically bugged PVE content, inexcusable lack of an LFG tool, and lack of competitive PVP, although I might've been inclined to give Bioware time to work on all those features if they had allowed addons and damage meters.
  3. Class balance is pretty much the one thing Bioware did right with SWTOR endgame
  4. Georg: We do realize it is useful to figure out what is being done wrong. But we don't want to people to be able to go out and judge you. With 1.2 you will be able to enable a chat log feature that indicates what killed you or what you killed. We also will have a detailed parseable combat log able to be written to disc. The log will not be available in-game. ------------- Well that's all I needed to hear, my account is canceled and I won't be back. Playing an MMO without a damage meter to assess my personal performance is like watching a symphony orchestra with the sound muted. Sure, the visual clues may be there, but I have no clue what actually happened First person to whisper me in game can have all my credits
  5. That would make an awesome side-game imo
  6. Why would WoW players be up in arms over Bioware following the exact model that Blizzard uses?
  7. Nope. I've canceled my account because I finished leveling (which was awesome) and I've hit endgame (which is a complete disaster): No damage meters No way to find groups No achievements No arenas No races other than humans with different color skin No addons Ultimately, SWTOR did some great new things that WoW failed at (like interesting leveling, non-healing specs of healing classes are still viable in PVP, crewmember NPCs, etc), but Bioware really failed hard at copying the good ideas. It still amazes me to no end that an MMORPG launched in 2012 without a combat log or damage meters. Absolutely unacceptable, and probably the main reason I've canceled my subscription
  8. George Lucas already determined that Anakin had fallen to the dark side when the first movies came out, before Qui-Gon had even been conceived of as a character. So no, it doesn't matter who trains him, it was already pre-determined
  9. This is what makes it so inexcusable though. All they had to do was exactly copy the WoW LFR system which forces you to use Need/Greed, and only allows you to Need items for your class. Stays the same for PUGs, and problem is (mostly) solved for guild groups. They already had the damn answer and all they had to do was copy WoW, but they purposely tried to reinvent the wheel by shaping it as a square
  10. The dumbest part about the auto assigning loot is that at the very LEAST, all they have to do is force normal mode raids to use Need/Greed, and then only allow Need rolls on items for your class. So basically for PUGs, the Need/Greed system is exactly the same as the current system (since let's be honest, everyone will NEED every single item they can, and the system autoassigns each loot), but for guild groups you could purposely pass to the people you want to win I still prefer just being allowed to use whatever you want, but if Bioware insists on protecting pugs from master loot mayhem, the above idea works perfectly while also working fairly well for non-pugs
  11. At least the helmets are hide-able unlike the Baby Bjorn chestpiece
  12. They can't fix the load screen times. If it takes more than 5-10 seconds to load into Huttball, that is because your PC isn't very good. Bioware can't buy everyone a new PC They do really need to put more thought into making the game more friendly to low end PCs. Alot of mechanics seem to be put in place for no other reason than just to piss off people into buying a new PC (like orbital stations and airlock stations with 3+ loading screens that serve zero purpose at all) edit: It worked on me, I got fed up and bought a new pc
  13. This is entirely a problem with your PC. I had the exact same problem EVERY time in Huttball. I got booted for inactivity literally 100% of the time, if the game was already started when I zoned in. After upgrading my PC I have never even come within 30 seconds of being booted. So bottom line, if you get booted while zoning into a BG, your PC sucks That said, Bioware REALLY needs to do more to accommodate people with low end PCs. In BGs, the Inactive debuff placed on you when zoning in should reset once you move (but only 1 reset). And for the love of god, get rid of the orbital stations and spaceports with multiple loading screens that serve zero purpose.
