There was never any resolve in PvE, so why talk about buffs? This was supposed to be a PvP nerf, but it became a PvE exclusive nerf instead.

All of these e-peens about 16 man being the "shizzle" makes me laugh. Ok, so you managed to recruit people enough for 16 mans - which is still a laughable number seen from a historic perspective - good for you, here's a "the patient" title for you. The fact that 8 and 16 man aren't properly balanced atm is one thing, it will be fixed eventually. But the simple fact that you got more people does not make it "the ****". So stop throwing e-peens around and enjoy the game.

Explosive Probe... need I say more. Kaboom.

The only real thing that bothers me is the lack of healing utility and the fact that we need to spend 4 talent points on DS for it to be even somewhat useful. What I'd like though, is to get rid of the Kolto Probe stacking. It's not a fun way to do it - it feels slow and tedious. One probe should be enough. That would also increase our viability to group heal. Now, the least thing I would like is to make it easy. But I do not want to be inferior to other classes because of it.

I must say - I was one of the people that heavily leaned towards using Kaliyo or SCORPIO for leveling. I couldn't get any DPS companion to really work for me. I leveled as a medic btw. Now it's completely the opposite. The simple fact is that you need to gear them as well as you gear your tanks. If you run with Kaliyo all the time and suddenly switch to a DPS companion to try them out, they're gonna be much worse geared and it makes all the difference in the world. You will turn back disappointed until you've geared them up. So if you gear Vector or Temple (my favorite) as good as you geared your tanks, they will do wonders for the speed of which you kill things. Much more than the 2 extra seconds you will need to rest after each pack, if you even have to.

It's not in the game yet. They're very careful of enabling things before they feel that it's ready. But I can assure you that no matter how many anti-macro or addon activists that roam these forums - we'll have both in a near future. The upside from having them is so much greater than the downsides, so there's no escape.

Pff, I don't know what people got against addons. I've never used a damage or threat meter other than to constructively tell people that they're doing something wrong. Without meters, there's no way to tell who's pulling their weight or not and you will never know whether your class is balanced in the DPS department, compared to others. Yes, blah blah, there are other things than DPS - yes there is, but that's to be balanced on their own. Seriously, either you ended up on the wrong stick of a bunch of meter jockeys (which probably means that you weren't doing what you should) or you just don't like numbers. I love the statistics metagame. I want to be able to see both an post fight chart and a real time one. Also, everyone knows that this UI is crap (that it's early game or not is irrelevant to the discussion), or you probably never configured one before. I want a wide array of UI features to choose from, and Bioware won't make them quick enough. Can't do it fast enough? Take help from the community. Stop with the addon hate, there is NOTHING that becomes less skilled because you're using an addon.

I have no idea how you medics find a DPS companion a better alternative than a tank. It's easy to keep Kaliyo/SCORPIO up while they're tanking, while you keep doing superior DPS yourself. Yes, you still do more DPS yourself than any companion, even as a medic. Worrying about one health bar is better than having to worry about two - at least for me. Whenever I try using Temple (pretty ok geared) - I will usually end up having to spam heal myself cause I got aggro on most of the pack. And while doing so, I need to keep an eye on her as well. It feels much more chaotic and not faster at all. I just let SCORPIO tank most of the mobs, keeping her up with 2 x Kolto Probe and an odd Surgical Probe, while I run around killing off all the mobs. And faster than Temple can kill without help.
