Recently, I've seen a few threads and responses comparing EVE Online to SW:TOR. This is folly for a few reasons: 1) They are two TOTALLY different games in every aspect. Well, they both take place in space. That's it. 2) Completely different styles of game play. 3) One is original, the other is not. I could go on but then this post would be 100 pages in of itself. Please stop comparing the two... Oh, plus EVE's graphics are 100x better and take up less of a memory footprint. Then again, like I said, we're talking two totally different environments.

EVE isn't even in the same dimension as SW:TOR. You're talking about two totally different games with completely different mechanics. For you "people" that are saying EVE has a horrid story line, you're wrong. Plain and simple. EVE has so much back story, plus what the players do, you could make at least 10 movies and have a continuous TV series and have no shortage of material. EVE came from nothing, is completely original and has lived since 2003. Games based on Star Wars have the entire Star Wars history to feed off of. Meanwhile, independent games like EVE have to make it up. I'm not saying that there's just some pile of Star Wars story line just sitting around somewhere but give credit where it is due and don't just bash a game's story because YOU think it's bad.

I'm still waiting for my early access code. I got cheated a month due to code issues from the pre-order. Incidentally, I'm from Rockland County, NY. I used to live in the Bronx when I was little and was born on Long Island. I've been in NY my entire life. Anything north of Syracuse is considered upstate NY since Syracuse is considered Central NY.

I used to live in Watertown!! I know exactly where you're talking about. I miss it up there but I am glad to be back in an area where there are more people than cows and the economy isn't supported by the soldiers on Ft. Drum.

Attention all you players from the Empire State! Get it? The Empire State? I always knew New York was more than a little evil. If you're from NY, drop a line here. It's nice to know who's around you. Also, try to include your character name, what server you play on and what region of NY you're from. Northern, Eastern, Western, Central, Southern and the variants are just fine. For example, I'm from South-Eastern NY by the NYC area. I need to get into the game before I can pick my server and name.
