  1. Compared to an existing server, how is the performance? In terms of FPS I noticed no perceivable difference. Loading times where a bit longer though. Any specific areas or planets where you feel the performance has lessened? Not that I came across. What region/country do you reside in? Europe (Stockholm, Sweden) Provide a comparison of ping from existing servers to Shae Vizla. Darth Malgus ~40ms Shae Vizla 300-500ms Is grouped content working properly? There was a bit of noticable lag when playing GSF with ships moving erratically and choppy. How quickly can you get into a match or Flashpoint you’ve accepted? No perceived difference from live servers. Is travel to any location (planet, Stronghold, Fleet, etc…) hindered? Not that I came across. Are there any issues with the UI such as missing assets or loss of functionality? Not that I came across. Are there any issues with visuals or sounds with the cinematics? In a few cinematics some NPCs did not load causing invisible assets to speak or camera showing just an empty space with no one in it. Pressing Esc and starting the cinematic again usually fixed the missing NPCs/assets to load.
  2. Thank you for the detailed post! Always interesting to read about how a system works and how you devs are optimizing it. Keep it up!
  3. Today this issue seem to be fixed. I was able to place the order on the website with no problems and the Order total showed the correct amount in my local currency.
  4. I just noticed that when I go through the process with no Credit Card pre-selected it shows the "Order Total" as $ 0.00 but when I purchase Cartel Coins it shows the correct price as well as my local currency (instead of the dollar sign). So maybe it's a currency conversion problem?
  5. I've tried from other computers/devices with other browsers and still receive the same error. So I don't think that's the problem. I've also tried to remove my credit card from my account and do the purchase again. This time I end up at step 2 of the purchase process called "Payment Options" and I am able to chose "Credit or Debit Card" or "Paypal". I chose "Credit or Debit Card" (since that's what I have). I fill in the information for my Credit Card but when I click continue I still get the same error as before. I have made sure that my Credit Card has enough funds and is open for purchase over the internet as well as purchases outside of my home country. I've used the same Credit Card to purchase my normal subscription as well as Cartel Coins without problems.
  6. I have the same error. I go to swtor.com/buy click on "buy now" for Lots DCE (link points to swtor.com/purchase/item-lotsdce). I am immediatly put on the third step of the purchase process called "Verify & Complete" and get the error "An error has occurred while trying to process your request. Please, try again later. {0}". I am logged on to swtor.com with my account. I have a credit card on file that is updated and active. I am using Google Chrome Version 98.0.4758.102 on Windows 11. I am not blocking any ads on swtor.com or swtor. checkout. ea.com and I have enabled all cookies including third-party cookies in the browser for said sites.
  7. Great read! Thank you! Also amazing to see player/reader feedback being taken into account and the story being updated
  8. Does the second point only refer to a "story rollback"? So the servers will not be completely rolled back?
  9. I also haven't received the May 4th pet even though I was logged in and played during several of the days that were required
  10. I play as Gunslinger/Sharpshooter and am yet to get pass boss 6 on this toon. I have 216 Gear (with a few 220 pieces) and use Bowdaar (influence level 22). When I have Bowdaar set as healer he gets killed fairly quickly even though he fights only one of the beasts (and the other is out of enrage range). When Bowdaar is set to tank things go a little better. I manage to kill both beasts but Bowdaar is slowly getting killed when tanking the human boss. Am I bugged!? I am getting very frustrated! On my Juggernaut that has lower rated gear and a companion with much lower influence I managed to complete the entire championship (all 10 bosses) fairly easy. It feels like something is wrong when the experience differs so much between classes. My Sharpshooter is my main and I know the class better than any other class. So it feels like I shouldn't have to struggle this much. I also don't understand why my companion (Bowdaar) seem to be so weak even though I have a pretty high influence level with him. Am I missing something here?!?
  11. I'm having this same issue on my Sith Warrior.
  12. This one is really strange! The change to bonus series is a really strange design choice. But the removal of the story NPCs for SectionX and Black Hole makes absolutely no sense at all. The areas haven't been repurposed in any way so why remove these NPCs? They've just removed story content for no reason!?!
  13. Glad to see I'm not the only one who recognizes this issue. I'm supprised BioWare hasn't done anything to fix the bonus series since the current state makes the base game incoherent and even broke in some cases. Here are some other examples: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=856006 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=862263 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=849398 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=849697 http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=863238
  14. Hi, I’m a big fan of this game and have played it since launch. One of the biggest reasons why I play this game is the story. So I was very happy when BioWare announced that they will refocus on story with KOTFE and game update 4.0. However I do not understand the reasoning behind the planetary bonus series that were changed with 4.0. Before 4.0 the bonus series often took place right after the main planetary quest chain or in some cases (like Alderaan bonus series) a little later in the overall story. But now, since 4.0, the bonus series are unavailable until you reach level 60 and the different quest givers (located on fleet and on the planets) have now been removed. This means that a big part of the story has been reduced and/or removed. There is no longer any story explaining why you need to go back and do the quests. Also, now when all bonus series start at level 60 (after that you’ve finished your class story and main game) the story doesn’t make sense. A lot of these bonus series story are designed to take place before the conclusion of the main game story arc. So now when you have to do them after the main game it just leaves the story in a big mess since the stories are no longer taking place in the correct chronological order. I really do not understand why this was changed with 4.0. BioWare say they want to focus more on story and then they make a big change that destroys the main game story. At first I thought that the level 60 requirement for the bonus series was a bug. But with 4.1 they removed the old quest givers which makes it clear that this change is by design. Can I please get some clarification on the reasoning behind this change? What is the intended way to play through the main game and bonus series now after 4.0? I’ve also noticed that the quest giver that sends you off to Section X have been removed. Why? Why do you remove the in-game story explanation as to why you are travelling to new places to help?
  15. I had a slightly different problem after the latest patch (3.3.1), but my solution was the same. I run the game in fullscreen and after todays patch I had significantly lower fps than usual. After fiddling with the ingame graphic settings I found that the shader complexity setting caused the problem. If Shader Complexity was set to anything other than the lowest my fps would drop by a huge amount. This was never a problem before todays patch. However after finding this thread I decided to test and delete the client_settings.ini file in AppData. After I did that I restarted the game and set my settings to the same as before this patch. My fps is now at the same level as before; Now I can have Shader Complexity on high with no significant drop in fps.
  16. This is all very awesome and I'm very excited for this new expansion!! However I'm not so sure about the XP buff. I'm already gaining levels far more faster than I want. Is there any way for me to pre order early but avoid the XP buff?
  17. Great list! I hope you can update it for the Republic as well.
  18. Thank you! Finally managed to get my hand on one of these
  19. Thank you for these two amazing years! I've really had an amazing time. There's just so much I enjoy with this game that it would take forever for me to name everything. Instead I'd like to share a small story about my experience about this game. About every second week me and my two brothers visit our mom at her place. We always bring our laptops and then we all (mom included) play SWTOR together. We usually do flashpoints and heroics together and have also been known to PvP a little. Those are really great family moments!
