  1. lol the people talking about your computer being crappy or old are literally clueless to building them. Devil's Canyon is still one of the most purchased/most popular CPUs on Newegg, for a multitude of reasons. 4.0 Ghz out of the box is nothing to scoff at. Considering it's the pinnacle of that generation, most people consider the devil's canyon the best in slot for 1150. charlatans. clueless.
  2. I'll admit I'm back in after a several year hiatus, and I'm sad to see the mastery stat having replaces all the class specific stats. I know that's probably a very complex topic that's been beaten to death in other threads so I won't try and derail this topic. I will say that because of my nostalgia for all the hard work I did RE stuff for each class I've kept a lot of my old unqiue prefix mods.
  3. I haven't played in some time and I'm a little lost coming back, so I started a new character and am playing from the ground up. A little lost on how to gear my alt without the help of my other chars as I'm not completely autonomous yet. Last time I played they had Planetary Commendations you could exchange for level appropriate blue item mods. Those are gone. The market is rather inflated for alts, with purple level 10 item mods going for 500k a pop. What's a good option for me if I don't feel like hopping onto my other toons to produces all my items nor do I feel like spending a lifetime fortune on them either?
  4. I discovered the updated speeder piloting passive on my character class skill page. I just overlooked it. I didn't remember it being there. So yes, purchasing the next level of speeder piloting on Legacy page applies automatically. Thanks everyone.
  5. When I purchase a legacy speeder piloting perk does it automatically apply that level of piloting to my character or do I have to go somewhere to train it after I unlock it? I upgraded from level 1 to 2 at level 10 for one of my alts. Is that speed bonus applied right then and there? It's hard to tell because I don't have a Piloting 2 anywhere on my ability page and the buff icon next to my character panel doesn't display the move speed %. Thanks.
  6. It seems some of the people here have asperger's. Not trying to be edgy. I have two friends in IRL who have it and this kind of stuff goes way over their heads. They take everything hyper-literally. This is the only explanation I can think of for the several who took this post so seriously to the point of getting defensive. Let me clarify to those who are incapable of wit/humor. This is some quality grade-A sh%$ posting and it's just a joke. Lighten up.
  7. Thank you both tremendously. You gave me the exact insight I was looking for. I posted the same thing on reddit and got downvoted to oblivion.
  8. *Potential spoilers* Hi everyone, I've returned after a long long hiatus which began sometime after the Rise of the Hutt Cartel went live. Long story short, I took advantage of the free level 60 character slot to jump right in at the start of the Knights of the Fallen Empire story arc. I'm posting here because I can't find the answers I'm looking for in google search results. I need some guidance from players who have knowledge of this campaign's choices. Here's my deal: essentially I created a Jedi sentinel (with the intention of being a goody-two-shoes) but during the scene where you finally confront Valkorian with your newly acquired companion Darth Marr, I decided that it would be cool to accept his offer and bow and play out the fallen "hero" of the galaxy RP for this character as it's something I've never done (gone from hero to villain(?)). What I need to know: A. Does bowing and accepting his offer actually have lasting consequences in the story arc (as the system message said your choices will be remembered)? B. Can I stay on the light side and still be working for Valkorian or is it more logical to just go full darkside ? C. Or am I hoping for too much complexity out of this story and at the end of the day you kill Arcann and that's it? D I'm hoping that because of my choices my character will get to become part of the new Empire or something like that... I'm just a little confused as to how this story is going to pan out, which IS a good thing, but basically I wanna know what my options are for becoming what I said: the fallen hero of the Republic who know runs with the Eternal Empire. And is it better to be DS or LS for this endeavor? I hope I made my position clear enough for you guys. If not I'll try to answer any questions you guys have for me. I really appreciate any help you guys can provide.
  9. After my guild of 50+ members fizzled out one after the other (as well as a few more reasons) I was left feeling very uninspired to continue grinding dailies alone at the Black Hole thing on Corellia. Well, long story short, the KOTFE (noticing a lot of new acronyms around here) trailer caught my eye and I re-subbed. I'm feeling like maybe that was a mistake. After all this time away, I realized I'm feeling very disconnected from the community, game, and even my old favorite characters. Several features/factors have me perplexed and disappointed. -The level syncing certainly shocked and infuriated me upon returning to Tython with one of my higher level Jedi. I'm reading up on it here, and might still give it a go. Mainly though, this feature ruins my immersion with RP and also prevents me from lending a helping hand to lower levels, which I really enjoyed doing (it makes for good RP as a Jedi helping a Padawan and you can make a friend out of it). It seems it has some merits, but still, it doesn't feel right to me, yet. Also it makes datacron hunting more tedious. -The whole Empire and Republic teaming up to fight this neo-Empire force with yellow lightsaber dudes and blue lightsaber staff/shield dudes also feels weird and far-fetched. -I was excited for the opportunity to roll a 60 from the get go. But I really feel out of the loop, because of all the content I missed between RotHC, and now. It feels out of place rolling a new char with no sense of prior backstory or progression. -Which leads me to my next point, all of the content I missed and need to learn seems daunting and overwhelming. No idea where to start. I feel so out of the loop. Kind of just makes me want to give up before I even try. Seems like a crap ton of work. And it always feels like the in-depth, intimate information I need to feel educated is always scattered all over the place. Sometimes, this game doesn't feel very intuitive. -The squelch system seems to create more frustration than relief. -There are still bugs and other various minor annoyances. Yet the CM has continuous updates. -There has been no changes in WZs in some time and other group activities. Yet the CM has continuous updates. -I don't know where PvP balancing is, so I can't comment. But I am annoyed upon reading that they still haven't fixed premades owning PUG matches all night. Also, I'm annoyed that the purple re-usable stims from Biochem have been removed (is this actually true?). -The outfit manager shouldn't be a credit hole. It should be free, fun, and versatile. We should have ability to mix and match dyes to create truly unique color schemes. -I heard/read that the GTN has crashed. Is this true? If so, please explain. Watching the GTN was one of my favorite pass-times in the game. -I can't find any good RP. On an RP-PVP server, nonetheless. I should probably mention I'm still on Jung-Ma. Is there a better server option for me? A more populated one (i.e. more than 4 players on non-fleet instances). At the end of the day, SWToR was my favorite game during it's prime (or at least what felt like its prime). And I would like to try and get into again. However, it feels like Bioware is still in the business of making frustrating, anti-fun, tedious changes to the game, and this late in its lifetime, it feels downright insulting to a veteran player. By now this game should offer tons of freedom and choice and have much less limitations. Even with this "maintenance staff" everyone keeps calling it, I feel like the game could be in a far better place than it is. It still really doesn't feel like their motivation is for the players. I dunno, I just feel like by year 5, there shouldn't be features in the game that make players scratch their heads and think to themselves, "really? like...really, Bioware? *** are you thinking here?" Does anyone have any advice for a returning veteran feeling out of place but wanting to experience the joy of SWToR again? /rant
  10. Yep, it's true! I just confirmed this as well. This had me worried for a bit. A tad confusing wouldn't you say? Glad it's working as intended.
  11. Hmm, thanks for pointing this out. I will definitely watch very closely and make a note, after which I will return here and report my findings.
  12. Currently hunting the "Durasteel Duke" on Alderaan. My quest reward message said I should be getting ~102,000 experience for completion, but I only received 36,000 experience. This doesn't seem right at all. Class missions grant more than 3,600 experience, if I recall. What's going on? Why am I not receiving the full amount of the 12x experience gain?
  13. Ignorance is no excuse to pass judgement. It shouldn't matter to anyone but you why you play videos, what games you play, or for how long. The ability to observe without evaluating is the highest form of intelligence.” - Jiddu Krishnamurti Don't let that idiot take the fun out of your life with such tasteless comments.
  14. Well isn't that just dandy. The best part is, this item WAS in my character's possession almost two years ago when I unlocked it buying dozens of those damn packs. That's really depressing that if you unsub long enough it seems they punish you buy taking things away. Outstanding customer appreciation.
  15. Alright. I have run into another problem it seems. This one is really bothering me. I'm managing to get all my old stuff back. One piece is really eluding me. The "Emergency Medical Table" (Toy class that replaces the healing animation) can only be redeemed by the Bounty Supply Corporation vendors. I'm looking through the Bounty Supply vendors in the Bazaar Market area and they do not have this item available. Am I not looking in the right place? How the heck do I get this item back?
  16. Shwoo. Thanks. I had trouble navigating the menu for a bit, but I managed to find them all. Thanks a ton. I was upset at first because I thought I had to re-buy them all, turns out I didn't unlock all of them across all characters. It's allllll coming back to me, ha! Thanks for your help.
  17. Hey, everyone. Just came back from a 500 day hiatus and re-subbed. Found that all of my special emotes and titles that I had unlocked through the cartel so many months ago have been removed from my character. What gives?
  18. Will do, kind sir. Just needed a way to vent my frustration. Being able to solo all the dailies and heroics aside from Hypermatter Tower (4) and getting wiped repeatedly on this, when it has everything to do with broken mechanics, is quite annoying. When I can actually damage the tank it gets bursted down pretty quick.
  19. This Heroic 2 is easily one of the more obnoxious quests I've had the privilege of running in a great while. It's refreshing when, after months of mastering broken mechanics like "Can't See Target", or "Not Ready Yet", Bioware releases a fresh, new bug-riddled battle. What's more is, now we have the pleasure of mastering a new mechanic: doing absolutely no damage to a target you are fighting (a la Hovertank) because you're not actually locked onto it, but the System doesn't tell you via a nice "Can't See Target" message. The first try you're standing there for 15-20 seconds going through your rotations, and suddenly "Hey, I'm swinging my lightsaber but nothing is happening!" Alas, getting directly on top of it will yield occasional results. Don't fret, however, you classical type of folks. All the old challenges still reside within the glorious battle. All the area standard mobs that you clear before you face the tank WILL re-spawn and become un-targetable as they are engulfed by the monstrosity. And of course, the numerous strong mobs that are produced by the behemoth machine are there to ensure that you have absolutely no idea what you're hitting. Is Doc your favorite companion? Is he geared out to the nines like you? No worries. For some intangible reason the aggro will always, always be forced on him. Taunt? HAH! Challenging call? I think not. What really seals the deal however, is the incessant "ENGAGING ENEMY" voice over played over and over and over and over from the same guy who did the "ENEMIES EVERYWHERE" voice over for standard human enemies in Mass Effect 1.
  20. I'm in the same boat. Now they have mods that bind to certain items and slots. I remember, though, when swapping pieces out of armor would costed 30-50k each. YIKES. We're definitely on the right track, though. 7-9k ain't so bad.
  21. I don't think that at all. In fact, I recently posted in the PvP forums asking for some PvP advice. Don't be so damn ignorant.
