  1. I say this only half-cynically: if you don't receive an official response on Mon/Tues (with Tuesday more likely since Mondays are historically slow response-wise), I wouldn't expect one at all. Wednesday is Veterans Day/Armistice Day and since Bioware usually 'round up' their holiday weekends, the soonest they'd even be available to respond is the 16th...... which, I'd wager, is likely long enough for them to consider the whole matter 'blown over' and never pay any further mind to it.
  2. Exactly this. RotHC was released in April 2013 (early access or otherwise) and technically Galactic Star Fighter has yet to be 'released'. They set their own definition of 'expansion' with RotHC and have changed it again by calling GSF the same. Consistency, at least in regards to 'expansions', has yet to be established.
  3. *Emphasis mine* After the hoopla regarding timely communication (or lack thereof) I can't help but chuckle at this.
  4. Negative, not the affection conversation bug. The problem they were working on and the *only* problem they were fixing was the cinematic conversation bug, something completely unrelated. They were either some completely unaware of the affection issue, or thought it went away and are only now reading the threads that have been on-going for a month and realizing that isn't the case. The moral of the story is, apparently, vocalize more often and loudly else issues will either be misinterpreted or simply not heard. *edit* That all said, it's being addressed now, so I'm grateful. But we need better communication
  5. 1&2. 55 Sith Warrior; 50 Bounty Hunter; 18 Inquisitor. 3. 10k, 10k, 4500 respectively. 4. Initially purchased via Credits on Warrior, unlocked via collections for others. 5. No, oh-for-three. Not spending any more currency to try again. I'm glad to see some basic action taken. However, this isn't a new problem. It has been documented on this thread and others since the day (a month ago) you sold us this feature....why are we just now getting asked these questions? These answers, if look at the first posts in the thread, were provided without prompt.
  6. I'd really love a straight-up explanation as well, rather than hope they fix/acknowledge it while they seem to hope it just goes away. I do have one question though: those who have gotten the full convo path, did you unlock Treek via credits or Cartel Coins? We know that the quest item that is unlocked is a different item depending on what you spent (the credit option has a legacy requirement), so I'm curious if it may make a difference. *EDIT* From the 2.3.2 Patch notes: Here's hoping that it's done and resolved.
  7. How can the quote above and this one from earlier..... ...possibly jive? Her convos "are not currently broken", yet was still "only partially fixed"? I have her unlocked on two lvl 55's with 10k rep, past their class quests and Makeb completed.....if she's "not ready" after those conditions, I honestly would love to know what more I can do.
  8. What they effectively did was disable the "check engine" light, but no actual fix/progress on the actual problem has been mentioned since.
  9. Disappointing that the fix isn't tomorrow, but I for one am thankful for the update. There was no word on this for the last couple of weeks which was even more disappointing. I understand that it's impracticable to comment on every issue, but with a "very high priority bug" not being left hanging from the moment of the feature's launch would have been nice. Again, thank you for the update.
  10. She had full-on dialogue chain on the PTS, so it's presumed to be a bug that only the initial conversation triggers now. Of course the devs haven't deigned to confirm or deny this, but that's the presumption.
  11. If I were to hazard a completely unsubstantiated guess it's that they're having trouble with any potential fix. Perhaps they're having trouble making the fix retroactive, thus unintentionally screwing over everyone who has purchased already. As for the 2 week silence on the issue, the problem (selling and continuing to advertise a defective feature) would be hazardous to openly admit to before they could properly fix it. Since the response on the forums is rather muted and polite, it's less of a risk for them to publicly ignore the problem until either they have a proper fix or enough people generate Slap-in-the-Face Outrage. Hopefully we'll get some kind of response tomorrow, but if ignoring the issue for two weeks has worked so far, no reason why ignoring for 2 more should be any different.
  12. Joking aside, the first weekend after her release has already passed, so anyone who was going to purchase Treek likely already has. I imagine that spending two minutes on a quick "we know there's a problem with your purchase, but we're working on it!' isn't going to affect anything negatively. Her cut-scene issues are in the Known Issues thread, but this isn't sadly.
  13. At this point, I'd be happy with an official acknowledgement of the issue. I understand the 'we can't comment on every bug' stance, but considering the cost (in credits or real money) they've asked us to pay for her, an acknowledgement that it isn't working as intended would be welcome.
  14. Having the exact same issue regarding Treek's lack of conversations no matter the affection level. -Acquired Treek via the credit-purchasable quest item. -Had initial acquisition conversation with her/droid. -Used gifts to raise affection to 4500. -Had 'settling in' conversation on ship. -No further dialogue options. -Used gifts to raise affection to 8500. -No further dialogue options, but right-clicking her brings up "We will talk on the starship when you are ready, Chief" blurb. Obviously a bug somewhere along the line since we know that she had several dialogues while in Beta. I haven't seen an official BW post/acknowledgment on the subject and only a couple of user threads so I'm hoping this can be fixed sooner rather than later.
  15. Even more, it's oddly priced. 'On sale' it costs 2,650 cartel coins which is over $20....a sub costs $15, which grants you all this plus removes all the other hindrances that FtP experience. I suppose the argument can be made that since it's 5 weeks worth of content vs ~4.5 weeks, you'd be getting more for that $5 (excluding of course all the other limits on FtP that are solved in a month sub). The only genuine advantage I could see of purchasing this over a monthly sub is that the package allows you to parse the 5 weeks over as much a time as you like vs a continuous month, but even so... I suppose one at least make the argument while it remains 'on sale', but whenever it rises 'back' to 5,300 ($40) I think any possible value is lost.
  16. Not a major concern but a QoL improvement: the ability to filter out recipes I already know from a GTN search.
  17. I agree wholeheartedly. They will continue to push the envelope as much as they can until it won't move any more. However.... As long as people continue to purchase these things and support the CM with the kind of numbers they appear to, there isn't any reason for EA/BW to *not* continue. EA in particular are huge proponents of the micro-transaction model as a minimum effort to maximum gain path. They may 'reverse' some easily-fixed components as long as they can justify the fix netting more than *not* fixing it, but you aren't likely going to see anything major on this front. The only problem as I see it lies in the fact that if the push back becomes too much, EA seems to have no problems dropping the project altogether and moving on to the next one. EA doesn't really see one IP as any different from any other when it comes right down to it; it's more of "X investment yields Y% profit margin". It makes them a very successful company, but I don't see it as a positive for gamers in the least.
  18. If the devs choose not to fix a graphics bug because it's too much work for little or no financial return then 'fine', that's their decision..... But I ask: please, *please* don't act as though you're doing us any favors for *not* fixing what is clearly a bug and not an aesthetic decision.
  19. I would *love* to see the individual class story lines expanded, but I can't reasonably see it with their current model. With such a heavy emphasis on the Cartel Market, we're looking at a 'maximum revenue with minimum effort' future. This isn't inherently a negative thing, especially from a business standpoint, but the kind of effort 8 expanded class stories would require doesn't fit. I could see it more viable *if* released as a traditional $40 expansion (as opposed to 'digital expansion pack' or a part of the Cartel Market). Ideally, to me, we'd see such an expansion every 1.5-2 years funded by the money-printing, tchotchke machine that is the CM.
  20. Investigating? GTN farmers were making too many credits purchasing Cartel Packs and selling it contents at inflated prices. In your unholy fear of inflation you 'corrected' the market by raising repair costs, sort of like a release valve. When anger is sufficient and the head-less chicken you consult for your economy give the right signs, you'll lower back down for a few months and repeat. It isn't a great mystery Clouseau.
  21. What gets to me most about changes like this is the fact that it was intentional. This isn't a bug or a typo, it was *intended* to function exactly as-is. There is also a series of steps this change went through, from initial brainstorming to design, to approval, to programming, to testing, etc etc. At each step, it was signed off/passed on while thinking the whole idea was brilliant. The men and women involved in this process aren't fools, even if this was a foolish decision. I genuinely have trouble believing that *somewhere* along the process, it was thought that taking away the ability to search for criteria of two characters was the best solution. They obviously felt that the existing search lag was a serious enough issue that either: A) It needed to be fixed very quickly and even a terrible solution was better than the status quo. or B) Fixing it a better way (as previously suggested earlier in the thread) required too many resources to take away from recoloring armors for the Cartel Market and this was the best they could manage. Whatever the reasoning, it seems to me that what they underestimated was the weight of the response.
  22. There is a quirk in the companion AI, most noticeable in Healer companions I would love to see 'fixed'. As it currently stands, if you are out of range or out of line-of-sight, a healer companion will attack an enemy within range if it's on the companion's aggro table. Even if you disable their attack powers/debuffs, they will still auto attack rather than move to resume healing. Ideally, we would love to be able to modify the behavior scripts a la Dragon Age. Barring that I settle for a "Do Nothing But &*#%ing Heal Me" mode.
  23. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see any new or decent armor sets until FTP and the Cartel Shop opens up. They *know* people are willing to shell out cash for clothes and dyes, so from their perspective 'free' armor sets might as well be re-colors.
  24. Honestly, I'd be on the PTS in a heartbeat if there were a transfer/copy service. As it is, 1.4 will be on the PTS for what, 2 weeks? 3? We're being asked to raise a character from scratch to test high-end content. Even if one had the time/drive to sprint from 1-50 (therefore bypassing a ton of content which isn't conducive to genuine testing), time *then* must be spent running ops in stages to gear for the new, high-end content that actually needs to be tested. It's terribly inefficient process when the vast majority of the 'testing time' is spent getting *ready* to test. Then being asked to pay for the privilege.
