  1. If you can plug **** in, you can build a computer...thats why it's called Plug and Play
  2. Ahh, sorry you didn't get the movie reference. I forget I'm old.
  3. Ahh...so you've played through already? It wasn't clear to me in your original post. As to the linear play style, this is basically WoW with lightsabers. I'm good with that for now, but you may not be.
  4. I have no idea what you're talking about. What rails? I think you picked the wrong time to stop sniffing glue.
  5. DPS is easier for me to quantify, and therefore easier to recognize how well I'm doing, and where I can improve. Healing may also be easily quantifiable, but I find it too passive. Tanking is too dependent on instance design and encounter mechanics for my taste.
  6. I'm sure it is now. I was referring to last July, when I was still playing.
  7. Since you mentioned WoW, I played horde on Mal'Ganis, which was one of the heaviest pop servers. Many good guilds, many good players. It wasn't long before many people stopped using the LFG tool, and went back to general chat LFM. You think its because they wanted to be carried?? Stupid. It's because they wanted to chain heroics quickly, or get another bear out if ZA. Everyone who was LFM on my server always expected proof of your ability NOT to need carrying, either by gear checks or linking achieves. Whatevs, I still say implement a x-server lfg, but have it look to your own server first.
  8. no, you are suggesting that. Remember, we are talking about Cross-Server lfg, not intra-server. Elite players and/or those interested in player accountability and community would be very likely to transfer to a closed lfg server. Since the best, most hardcore players often share this sensibility, we can postulate that they would make up the balance of the population. This would make for a highly progressed server, which would then likely attract many other players interested in progression. Elite guilds would still be exclusive, but every hardcore player I've ever known runs alts. They would be much more likely to round out their groups with lfg. Sounds like a very easy choice for someone like you. Or me, for that matter.
  9. Loved UO. Jumped on the Pacific server a little before they added Baja. Thing is, mmo's were brand new to so many of us, we immediately had something in common. It was cool just to be able to interact with an actual person. We had zero expectations, and in a way it was all magical. Community was the endgame. No MMORPG has captivated me that way since. In fact, it isn't even close. I still enjoy mmo's, since they give me the opportunity to play with like minded people. Maybe one will come along that realizes all players are not equal, and are not entitled to the same rewards. But I digress...as I am not a hardcore player, and not even lvl 20 at this point, I can only speculate that this game will basically attempt to emulate wow endgame in every way...future patches appear to support this conclusion.
  10. I'm not opposed to any LFG tool, so don't bother. I'm just speculating. Either way, it wouldn't affect people who preferred cross server lfg.
  11. Ah, well BW didn't assign my server...guess I missed that. I do like your red text though.
  12. Well, my suggestion for LFD would be cross server, it would just look to your own server first. High pop servers would be more likely to fill groups intra-server, and low pop ones would be able to pool from the whole battlegroup.
  13. Those servers would likely contain the best/most progessed players/guilds. It'd only be a matter of time before they were full.
  14. Why would you choose a server where you'd rather group with people from other servers?
  15. Wow, you guys are really enjoying this... Again I ask: why not implement a LFD tool that takes from your own server first??
