  1. Actually, the fun I have been having playing MLB 12: The Show made the decision easy. So, I haven't had difficulty finding a game that met my standards. I was starting to forget what actual fun felt like. Right now I am just sitting here waiting for them to disable my account. I called them on the phone and they seemed very reluctant to close my account. Hopefully soon I will fall silent because I can no longer sign in to my account. Either that, or I will grow increasingly angry that they have failed to close my account like they said they would.
  2. Funny you should say that. Last night I killed all of my characters and gave away 591,000 credits to the only other guy at the Imperial Space Station on Thana Vesh. Yeah, there was only one. I have deleted the game from my computer and now I'm trying to figure out how to close my account. I am having a blast playing MLB 12: The Show. This game was a disappointment from the start, and I am only getting more disappointed with every stupid thing these guys say. So, good bye. And good luck. I think you're going to need it.
  3. i dealt with this in a previous post. I was unable to finish the existing Heroic Missions on Corellia because there weren't enough people on the server when I played that planet. So having more of them is not an improvement in my situation. By the way, last night I played an epic game of MLB 12: The Show, between the Astros and the Washington Nationals. The last two innings almost gave me a heart attack. So, it's not like I'm obsessed with this. I am going to move on with my life. Have a nice day.
  4. I said they are not going to do any more solo class content. They are apparently going to do more Heroic Daily missions. So life after the cut scene will be returning to Corellia, Voss, and Ilum, and doing the same daily missions over and over again. That's not really a story. The guy you quoted is the PvP. Flashpoint, and Operations developer. PvP, Flashpoints and Operations are group content, not solo content. I don't do any of those now, and I don't plan to do them in the future. I said in my own post, the post that you quoted, that "stopping threats" to the Empire meant doing flashpoints and operations from the Imperial Fleet. So, why don't you get off my junk? And it's confirmation, not conformation.
  5. I think "we will see" is always a reasonable attitude.
  6. Did anyone else notice that the Twi'lek Jedi had jets coming out of her feet? You guys who are arguing Star Wars cannon, is that really what you want? Jedi with rocket feet? Listen. If you want to use this legacy system you HAVE to create a new character. If you unlock a new species you are going to have to create a new character in order to use that unlock. It is designed to keep you playing the game while playing the same content over and over. There is no other point to this system. They're going to charge you 1.5 mil for a new species unlock? How many hours of gameplay is that? It's not an add on. It's pure manipulation. The other things that you can unlock should have been in the game from the start. Mail in your ship? Seriously. I have to pay extra for that? I don't have a radio on my ship? Like Tom Petty said, "While we celebrate mediocrity, the boys upstairs want to see, how much you'll pay for what you used to get for free". Just wait until this game is going broke, and all of these little tricks they are playing will come to an end. They will sell you anything you want for a small cash fee. They will give you all of the new species you want- wookies, transdosians, ewocks... They will sell you force powers and ship mailboxes and your own personal sex slave. Right now they think they are in charge. So they do what they want. And what they want to do is play you for a fool. But when the knucklehead running this show realizes that he's going to be designing websites for Grannies if he doesn't get people to resubscribe he will give you whatever you want. Because the truth is you are in charge. You and your Visa card. And the sooner they figure that out, the better. So.... do you really want Jedi with rocket feet? That decision is ultimately going to be up to you. You and your Visa crd. Me? I'm not so cool with the rocket feet. I would rather not see Star Wars turned into a joke.
  7. I've wasted enough time on you. I consider this conversation over.
  8. I have seen the Agent final cut scene. I attempted to go back to the spaceport where it took place, and could not. It's not a real place. It's the place where the cut scene takes place. That's it. Stopping threats means doing flashpoints and operations at the Imperial Fleet. Believe me, when you see the cut scene for Agent it's over. I'm uninformed? I heard one of the developers say that they were never going to make more storyline solo material. They would have to bring all of the voice actors back. It's not going to happen. Deal with it.
  9. They claim in this video that no one has ever done a legacy system where the members are related to one another. They clearly never played LOTRO, where you can have other players in your family tree as well as your own alts. This entire video is full of nonsense.
  10. I'm not going to try and stop you from being a sarcastic punk. Have a nice day.
  11. Please yourself. I think that you will find once you have explored the issue that the only reason this system was created was to give you a reason to make new characters. But I will let you figure that out for yourself.
  12. The logical thing to do if you have all of these characters is to kill all but one and send all the credits to one character, who will become the founder of your legacy. In other words, start over. The whole point of this system is to force you to make new characters.
  13. In some video somewhere they made it pretty clear that once you have seen the final cut scene for your class, that's it, the story is over. There is not going to be any more solo content. Ever. As I understand it, those quests on Corellia are going to be daily quests. In other words, Heroic group quests. I was unable to complete the Heroic Quests that are already on Corellia because there were never more than seven people on Corellia the whole time I was there. Often there were only two people on Corellia. Same for Voss and Quesh. I would go for a bonus series of solo quests on Corellia, but I sure as hell am not going to continue to subscribe to a game so that I can get a few solo quests every few months. It's not going to happen. i have like two months left on my subscription, and I would rather spend that whole time in here complaining about Bioware than embrace a legacy system that is designed to make me roll alts. At least I would be getting something for my money. At least I would know that someone at Bioware knew how I felt.
  14. Let me tell you what is going to happen, because we saw all of this with SWG. This guy who is making the videos, he's going to get fired. In about six months, after all of his little tricks have failed and the game is a smoking ruin, he will get fired. He will be replaced by a new person, probably a woman, who will publically announce that "we are taking a new approach". She will spearhead an effort to change the game, to draw in new players. This will only anger the old players, who will leave. And she will get fired about four months later. This will happen over and over again, until the announcement of a new producer will be greeted with catcalls by the handful of people who are still playing the game. Ultimately they will cut their losses and sell the Frankenstein mess that they have created to a server bank. Why not? It looks like they made most of their money back on the first weekend. Just like Hollywood.
  15. You completely missed my point, but that's ok. It's par for the course around here. Sure, you watched all of the video, this time. But what about NEXT TIME? Hm? What about when you make your third sage because Bioware made a legacy system where you have to grind to level 50 in order to unlock a new species? Hey, I never spaced through any content when I maxed out my Operative. But I sure will this time. And the next time. Welcome to SWTOR, online treadmill. BTW, my Operative made it with the Governor of Balmorra, so....
  16. No, you never called me a liar. I said you COULD, if you wanted, but that what I was saying was true. So the only way you could argue against it would be to call me a liar. I don't want to invest 16 months into characters that I am just going to throw away. Not only do I disagree with you, Bioware disagrees with you. The head dork said that they are going to support the legacy system "for years". I just watched the video again and I think these guys are f-ing morons. That's my answer. They are morons. They are the same kind of idiots who crashed and burned SWG, and they are going to crash and burn this game too. I am not even interested in this legacy system. I think it's completely stupid. But it's pretty clear that the only purpose for this legacy system is to force you to roll alts. They made a conscious choice not to make more content, and to force you to play the same content over and over again. It's a strategy. It's not intended to be fun. It's intended to serve a purpose. Keep you playing the same content, over and over again. So you can grind on new content in LOTRO, or WoW, which gives you new geography and new characters to face and meet, or you can grind by doing the same thing over and over again like a machine. For George's profit. I prefer the LOTRO/WoW way. Is it a grind? Sure. But it's a new grind. What I REALLY prefer is a giant sandbox, like SWG, where my character can just live and do what he wants. And the first company that makes that game will have my money forever without all of the manipulation. So BRING BACK SWG, Lucas Arts. Because I am already bored out of my mind with this game.
  17. I assume you mean pre-NGE. I second that emotion. That game had the greatest crafting system ever invented.
  18. So.... You know. I know I'm not going to convince you of anything, because you have already made up your mind. But I played WoW for a couple of years and never maxed out a character. I have a character on LOTRO I have played for 3 years and he's not maxed out. I actually played the beta on LOTRO and I have never maxed out a character. I never maxed out a character on Ultima Online, Asheron's Call, DAoC, or SWG either. I'm a casual gamer. But I maxed out a character here in two months. That is just a simple fact. You can call me a liar if you like, but I'm sure there are plenty of people here who have had the same experience.
  19. Thank you angry old man. Now go vote for Newt Gingrich. You rotten kids get off my lawn and go get a job!!!
  20. I will be impressed when the Taxi Speeders on Hutta don't crash into the ground.
  21. I have a Burglar on LOTRO. He is level 60. I have been playing that character for nearly 3 years, and he is nowhere near being maxed out. I maxed out my Operative in about 8 weeks. And I was dragging my feet. If you want to compare this game to other MMO's we can go there. There will be blood. Oh yes, there will be blood.
  22. I just think that some of you guys need to stop and think about the fact that in order to make all of these new characters you are going to put in your legacy you are going to have to go back and do all of that content again and again. Over and over. By the time you get your little family together you are going to be so sick of this game you'll want to stick a lightsaber in your head. They could have made it more interesting to acheive this goal, but they didn't. It's just going to be a grind. Either a level grind or a credit grind. But a grind.
  23. No, actually, he's not. A lot of these so-called unique storylines are smoke and mirrors. In order to do those quests you are required to do tons and tons of planet content which is the same for every character AND class. When they previewed this game they were all "there's 200 hours of gameplay for every class". That is just not true.
  24. It takes a couple of years of casual gameplay to max out a character on WoW or LOTRO because there is much more content than in this game. I maxed out my Operative in about 8 weeks. And I took it nice and slow.
