  1. Good evening, I've been getting intermittent lag "waves." I recently came back and found my self lagging horrendously, then smashing through, then lagging etc. It's not really spikey, as it stays in one state for a bit, before moving to another. It reminds me of yesteryear, and I'd really like to know if there's a solution. I really enjoy the changes made to the game.
  2. I'm just curious to see the subs base after the sixty days of prepaid is up. That will be the indicator if this game has staying power or just failed to measure up in time.
  3. Aww bro, don't bring me down!!!!!
  4. Honestly this game is pretty damn cool. I never played a BioWare game, so didn't know what to expect. I've only made it to level 31 with my Bounty Hunter, (a couple other characters to level 10) and I've got to say, one hell of a story so far. However, above all else, the biggest attraction of this game is the level of decision making. I haven't felt this strongly about my character probably since I was fighting Shin-ra. Yeah, there's still a lot of work that needs to be done, improvements to be made, and features updated. But man, the story has dropped some major bombs and really pushed my morality, yeah I know its just a game, but when you've spent the last 3-4 hours trying to do something, and then BOOM happens, man! Any ways, semi-sober rambling. Good job BioWare, but please lets polish and refine asap. !
  5. About whether or not you can join them? I don't understand, are people having life changing, thought provoking, stance challenging conversations with the old way of LFG? Sure I remember sitting in Shattrath, looking for anour for a healer, or CC or whatever, and you know what, it wasn't fun. I'm still polite when I LFG both here and in WoW, if people want to be ***** because they're hiding behind a keyboard that's one thing, but attacking the LFD as the source of "community" erosion, is laughable at best. Look BioWare, we know you need this game to work, otherwise you're going to lose profitability. Don't be stupid and listen to the vocal minority deluding themselves into gaming purism. If they want to LFG themselves, they still can - but you need to create a system soon, or Diablo 3 will eat your lunch so fast, you won't know what happened.
  6. BioWare is $300 Million in the hole for this game. If people start dropping subs, the quality of support, updates, infrastructure and the entire operation - degrades. Why do you think pre-ordering was such a HUGE deal for them? Positive Cash Flows are king. So if you personally don't care people are cutting out, that's fine - but Bioware does, because this isn't a 10 million subscriber game yet, so stop pretending it is, or will be as the current client stands. I actually believe that the OP made some compelling albeit crude points. It seems BioWare left out some key advancements that have been made in MMO gaming, and it's bothering a lot of people. It's DUMB there are no chat bubbles. It really is. Same with no sounds for emotes. Really, not even a gloating laugh for my Sith? The single pool queue for PvP is silly. It's just mean to send a level 11 up against heat seeking missiles. GTN Ui needs to be re-written. And it's a little sad to see no animated portraits. Limited Class design is also bothersome. There are 20 specs available, with 16 unique. Granted the abilities and animations may be different, but lets not lie to ourselves and say that Wither and Slow Time (Assassin + Shadow Tank Ultimate Tree Talent) are different. Cutting off third party mod development, macros and the like are frankly, rather arrogant moves in my view. Don't try and hold an iron grip over your game. Every one who put the $50++ to buy the game, get in early and test it - we're all vested stakeholders in the game, so don't play the "we know what's best" game, because you'll end up like Warhammer. I really like this game, but admittedly, I'm spoiled - I played a game that had years of development, feedback and evolution. This game is still learning how to walk. I do hope however, there are significant upgrades to performance, interface and client stability in the next sixty days...

  8. How about in game theory craft rendering values on your abilities, kinda like Dr. Damage did in WoW. http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a333/gijoey14/WoWScrnShot_042208_104257.jpg Not too bad. While I find the whole "e-peen" argument against damage meters laughable and slightly pathetic, this is a good way to sate both sides of this issue. While I think not having a metric to measure performance is a significant flaw in end game design, a Dr. Dmg type modification from BioWare could solve it.
