  1. ive always thought it would be cool to add the Voss.. i know from a lore PoV it could be difficult but then again you have pureblood sith on republic side and cathar and such on imp side so nothing really makes "sense" anymore.. They could use the same voice lines and just do the modulate ability on them. They already have the lore of force and non-force users. They use the human model so should fit all the gear and they have male / female and different color options already. And with Sana-Rae (and others in various quests) they sorta pick sides in the end.. would just be weird doing the Voss quests as a Voss and being called an "outsider"
  2. I like the idea of including them. They have a cartel market armor set already too. Or at the very least a dantooine like planet for an event only planet that is just minor story and dailies but let us explore the planet. Either way would love to see it.
  3. Care to elaborate on some of that QoL?
  4. I would like to ask too from this: Does that mean this is something that WILL be implemented in the future and you're just doing a quick fix with a larger overhaul coming later? say 6.2 / 6.3 / 7.0 style timeline? Or just something that you are all aware of but don't have any plans to address unless the 6.1.1 fixes don't address what it is you want them to address?
  5. As someone who came back about two months ago and taking multiple characters through their base storylines and my farthest character is still in KOTET, I have some concerns but also some things I like about these changes. I think for the 1-50 bracket, the biggest issue I run into is playing the story is not efficient at getting to the conquest cap. You need to be doing warzone farming or flash points to hit the conquest cap weekly, and then you end up 10+ levels above the planet you are on. It's a bit insane. I think it you can incentivize story missions or doing side quests or any of that (or just incentivize heroics, not just on a single planet and 1 time per day per legacy), that would go a long way to getting people at lower levels to hit their conquest faster. I like the idea someone posted above about a new item instead of gifts that instantly grant a couple levels to a companion instead of a gift that, depending on the level used might be more-or-less worthless (especially with KOTFE's companion stuff, may be useless for some for a long time, since you are targeting lower level players who would not have done any of that yet on that character). These could be bound to character or legacy bound if you don't want them in the wild on the GTN (and would cause more people to play alts to get them for their mains or max level characters as well). I think the change for the credit cache to go from 25K to 15K is moot. 10K is nothing in this game and If it's a new player they need that extra 10K to train their crafting skills, send out for missions, etc and can't pump millions of credits into alts to power level. I think the 25K should be more but that is neither here nor there. As someone who has never once set for into an operation, I just hope that things don't become more effort for me to stop those who were using this system in a way you guys didn't like (farming Op trash). As it is right now I capped my conquest on 6 characters this past week.. I could have done all 8 but I instead chose to level through their story instead of sitting in the activity finder. I basically got them to 50K or so (some up to 80K for doing some other stuff) and then logged off to work on others. I don't think conquest should be free but I don't want to have my free time that I play casually to take twice as long because others with better gear / more time / more knowledge are taking advantage of the system. As a side note, I know im probably the only person in SWTOR who still occasionally plays the rail shooter. But it would be really cool if the conquest rewards would give a ship part or something since it's only from vendors anymore.
  6. They balance most of the game around not needing a tank or healer.. and as such no one needs to be those roles unless you are doing content that requires them (ops, mm, etc) and then people go in starting with those roles and I don't think they change roles around too much. That being said, I know myself and many others would LOVE this feature and would be more likely to change roles for different content as needed to fill.. Like going from Damage while questing, to tank / healer in a flashpoint or PVP. I think the game could only benefit from this feature. As it is right now, I make a character and they are a role.. or discipline.. and they stay that forever because I don't want to redo the action bars.. Because going from Healing to DPS or visa versa takes too long to make it worth it to me.
  7. I always thought the jawa scraps and any other bind-on-legacy currency item should just go into the currency tab. if I can already put it in the legacy bank for all my characters to share then might as well just put it in the currency tab. But I guess they need something to put in the inventory that isn't just gear / mods / stims / grays.
  8. Just the number you want for the specific bonus.
  9. Can I add on to this? If I have to travel for a quest, tell me where the quest is and not where the closet flight point is that I can take for that quest. I have quick travel and I hate to have to quick travel to the flight point to click that to see where it wants me to fly to so I can quick travel there (since I have the no CD quick travel from legacy). It's a small inconvenience and there are bigger things out there but it would be really nice..
  10. I look at games like wow where this works in more than just the action bars too. You could set your gear to change with your spec (though we don't have gear sets in swtor, so that would also be really nice). Being able to easily swap between disciplines would also help to alleviate some of the full DPS veteran queues I get.. someone could swap to a healer or tank in for some reason the 4 DPS are struggling with a boss or mechanic. But as it is right now on my sorc, I am a DPS and Im working on my gear but I have a few pieces of healing shells too but im not worried about them because even though I can (and would love to) heal on him, it is too much effort to swap, and move all my keybinds around to accommodate healing over DPS. This is my #1 biggest QoL change I would love to see implemented in the game sooner rather than later.. but I know it's been asked for forever over multiple mediums (forums, reddit, twitter, direct feedback, etc). So I hope someday it will come.
  11. Tell that to my level 1 Darth Hexid It could be possible to accommodate it if you make it an expansion level feature and only possible after you unlock it as a feature in the expansion and make it not work in older quests but then it does trivialize a lot of the game.. and I understand too that a lot of the story is solo and aside from flashpoints where most people don't talk this is a solo game.. but it's also an "mmo" and it doesn't hurt to group with people or find a guild if something is more difficult than can be done with you and your companion. Not to mention if you had you, and a tank + healer companion out, then doing veteran mode flashpointsand such would be now soloable and you could probably go back and do vet or even master mode KOTFE/ET and get all that done solo which would trivialize a lot of the game even more so.
  12. Should be able to convert them to jawa scraps or another currency.
  13. Im not sure why we can't get a newer form of authentication with the push to approve on apps that many games / websites / applications have now and then remember my device. I shouldn't have to login each time if im on the same device.. but this could be a checkbox to enable if it's on a shared device.
  14. I think too with how the GTN doesn't show you what current prices are in the sales tab (you have to search for buying it first) if you see the history of you selling it, it might not reflect the current price. I think a better solution (though im not opposed to a history at all.. more feature the better) would be when you are selling something to show a minified listing of what it is selling for so you can match it. I think the GTN needs a lot of love in general though with not being able to price per unit in a stack but having to price the stack, when the unit price of a stack is available when buying. Or give us the ability to put a 100 stack up and then say to sell it at X per unit, and Y units in a stack and have the GTN split the stack and make that many listings. Lots of QoL missing from the GTN.
  15. I noticed too that some planets (or maybe it's just Tyhon as that the only one I found this one) when you click on travel from the map, it brings you do a different location than it you are on your ship and hit travel. in going back and forth on my jedi sentinel to tyhon and other places doing the story quests if I used the map and clicked on tyhon and traveled there, it would bring me to the starting shuttle (when you make a new character and get your first quest) and I had to take the travel route (since quick travel was disabled in that area) to the temple.. but if I used my starship's terminal and hit tyhon it would bring me to the station above and I would have to use the shuttle which would bring me into the temple itself. Very odd and im sure other planets have this but im not actively testing it.
  16. Though counter point.. how many characters would just sit there and never be logged into again and just be used to manage crafting all day from a single point?
  17. To tack on to the companion QoL stuff.. I would like a redesign of that UI in general and throw the crafting in there too.. It seems so strange to me that I need 2 windows for managing companions. I have one for crafting, and another if I need so summon them.. and not that I use the vendor option with them but that's next to the summon and then traveling to them is all in one window but then a window that filters based on my influence with them for crafting is another. I wish it was all consolidated into a single window for just.. companion management.. I understand crafting being maybe it's own thing for other games but you don't really craft here.. you are managing your companions to do it (or sending them on missions).. all of that can be done in a single companion window.
  18. The game does have some quirky bugs and the launcher can cause issues for people so that sucks you're having those issues. The game is supported but it does have tons of resources and they are stretched a bit thin and things like this sometimes fall through the cracks. But the majority of players don't have issues with the install. For me, I installed on my desktop about a month or so ago and I had no problems, my husband did the same. We both got it setup, launched the launcher and it started downloading and playing no problems (im on a desktop, he was on a laptop). This week I decided to try and install it on my laptop and I ran into issue after issue and had to uninstall and reinstall it multiple times. It is finally working now after about 2 days of trying. I would recommend uninstalling the game (assuming it's not working right now) completely, and then follow the steps to remove the bitraider launcher and have it download from EA's servers directly (this requires you editing 1 file and deleting a few others after first launching the launcher, patching it, and accepting the EULA). Then it *should* work to download the game and launch with no issues. I hope that helps! It is a fun game especially if you like the story part of it.
  19. So gear requirements aside, I am in the same boat as you more-or-less. I played back when Ilum was the highest end content and the first operation was out.. I quit shortly after and I just came back about a month ago and I feel woefully behind in many areas. I was super short on money for the longest time and I actually had so many tech fragments but not nearly enough credits to buy the set bonus shells (even though im only doing story questing and some dungeons I still wanted to have them just in no rush). One of the things I did was to join a guild that always hits the large invasions and caps it for conquest. I would cap out my conquest for the week and that right there was 175K credits. I did this on 3 characters last week, and 5 characters this week (depends on how much time you have but I did it with a mix of Warzones and Flashpoints and doing the weekly bonuses on the lower level characters. Took me around 3-4 hours per character to hit cap (and not all of my characters are level 75, in fact last night I did it on a level 20 character, got to 26 just doing warzones and capping my conquest). Anyway, last week with the 3 characters at 175K each from just pure credits I made 525K credits. Then the credits that I made from actually getting to the conquest cap. But I also took the purple quality crafting mats (and the isotope crafting mats that are basically thrown at you for doing flashpoints at any level) and took to the GTN. I did a search for the mats and sorted by unit price. I then put them up at that price on the GTN. I sold the isotopes in stacks of 20 for, I wanna say, 120K a stack. (They were going for about 6K each) and then I had some yellow quality embers (I forget their names) that sold for about 300K each (had 3 from the guild conquest stuff). Then a couple of the purple grade 11s I had sold for a couple mil each. At the end of it all I ended up with a combined credit total of 25 mil credits. Granted, some of the purple grade crafting mats were probably sitting in my crafting material inventory for a bit and didn't all come that week. But it was a nice chunk of change. Also from doing all of that content a lot of it will give the jawa scraps. Those can be used to buy crafting mats and if you look around at prices you can find some that sell for a lot and sell those. I think for the most part the credits come as you play but I agree it is a large hill to climb. I wish you luck!! P.S. you could always use RL money and buy stuff off the cartel market, wait a few days and sell those on the GTN for millions too. Do some searching for what sells to really make the big numbers.
  20. Im leveling my Jedi Shadow as a tank right now. It's fine to complete everything as. I have my Operative as a Healer and just finished Dromand Kaas. It was fine because things still die so quickly but I think I might just go back to DPS and then go healer later. I really wish changing disciplines would let you save your hotbars (like other mmos that have similar systems) so I can be a healer and have all my heals on my primary keys and then swap to DPS and have my DPS spells there without having to manually move them around. I think if im going from DPS 1 to DPS 2 then it wouldn't be so bad but role changing is more complicated. I really hope this is one of those QoLs they are talking about implementing.
  21. This is probably also like the jump in Athiss that everyone uses to skip packs and walk over the side railing to the boss that I feel takes me longer to actually get up on that ledge than it would to just have the group clear to the boss. Thanks for the Jump / Forward pattern im going to have to practice that.. maybe do it in story mode to see if I can get the hang of the jump so not everyone thinks im an idiot all the time
  22. What they need to do is not require you to type the code in every time and allow you to "remember this computer" and when you open the launcher if you are remembered it will just jump to the verify / play button instead of having to login. Other games with launchers can establish sessions like this. I am sure it's a lower priority but would be a great addition so I don't need to open the app every time I want to play swtor.
  23. I just recently came back to the game after many years to experience all the new stories and get back into the game. I am glad to see some QoL may finally be coming to SWTOR because it is behind the times in a lot of different ways, but there is still a lot of good here! Hoping for the best and glad the game still has some life in it for the next couple years!
  24. I recently subbed and same happened to me but completely closing the game and logging back in fixed it. But it took it an hour or so after I subbed to show up.
