  1. They gave us a stronghold no one wanted...done. Also, anecdote does not equal evidence. The vast majority of reactions appear to be superficial fixes while ignoring the game killing features. Kind of like rope bridges and trash heaps.
  2. lol...good thing they play this game. Such insight into how things work.
  3. Doesn't really matter for me anymore, since I unsubscribed a few hours ago. 21 days and I am out.
  4. This statement suggest to me you don't actually play conquest if you think this new system made it easier for small guilds to win conquest.
  5. So the old system failed to do this? How did the old system not require large numbers of people to win? You think guilds like BBB won six and seven planets a week was because five people were churning out the points? As I recall, the system changed because small guilds wanted a chance at rewards. They could have achieved the same goals by just adding the conquest goals. If you're answer is no, then what is the point of the changes to conquest?
  6. It is summer break, the UT Austin interns they have running the game may not be back yet.
  7. That theory went out the window. The Imp side Shan server just crashed a little while ago.
  8. Also, if people want to grind the same thing over and over again, why can't they?
  9. And are those rewards equal given the time it takes to do them? Why should I be forced to play content I don't enjoy to take part in a weekly event? They constantly tell us they want us to play how we want, except it seems they want us to play PvP and queue realted content, and nothing else. Tell me how it makes sense to only count ONE heroic a day per legacy? They violate this concept in conquest already with Iokath. It's simple really. It comes down to time versus points allocated. Can that vary conquest to conquest? Sure. But there should be some base amount of points accumulated per hour that is consistent across ALL content. Will some people do content quicker than others, sure. Some people will be better at PvP or operations, have better equipment, have companions maxed out on level, etc. But there should be some base point for all content. Does 5000 points an hour sound unreasonable? Three hours to conquest. If you want to spend nine hours a day to get three toons to conquest, more power to you. Again, I ask the naysayers, how many toons do you believe it is reasonable for a player to get to conquest a week? Give us numbers.
  10. Part of the problem with this whole discussion is there is a lot of speculation about what Bioware intended. The primary reason for this is they NEVER, EVER do a good job of explaining what they intended, the reasons for the changes, etc. How many times have they changed up on us after a patch? Part of this is because, I think, they are winging it. They are simply in maintenance mode and refuse to just come out and say so. Instead we get this Kabuki dance around every update. If the goal was to make it easier for smaller guilds to get the rewards, why the limit on how many toons you can get points on? That flies directly into the face of the logic behind the changes. I also believe they don't play this game. Getting on a toon occasionally is a far cry from playing various aspects of this game. We have a variety of players who play different aspects of this game intently. The conquest changes were done, IMO, be people who don't have the first clue about how conquest works. And since the usual response from bioware is to dig in its heels rather than admit they screwed up...here we are. The comments have been overwhelmingly negative. There have been ample feedback suggesting reasonable changes, all of which has been ignored. The only changes that do come are cosmetic at best. NO ONE is asking that they just give stuff away. Also, let's stop with the idea that running a large amount of toons through conquest is an easy grind, because it isn't. To get a large number of toons through conquest requires a very large time commitment. But if they want to put in the time, let them. I have a simple question for those supporting the change (all two of you), what is the right number of toons it is reasonable to get through conquest in a week? One? Three? Six? 47? How many?
  11. Exactly. Though, it takes about an hour a toon to hit conquest now. I will have six toons to conquest as of today. It can still be done because there is still one area they haven't nerfed yet.
  12. There was a bug within the bug. From time to time, when you reset the rampage and returned to the planet, the rampages would all be set with only 50 kills needed for each category. There were times when you could go 7-10 bugs in a row. So for 500 kills you would get 45000 points.
  13. Also Shan server. Now, my legacy banks and droids disappear on my strongholds. Trying to craft is a nightmare. Have to go to fleet to get any semblance of normal reaction time. My best guess is this has been caused by the new stronghold build. Figure it out and fix it.
  14. First, don't be too down trodden. Remember, the current bug was created by this same group of devs to fix the bug of switching toons. They actually made conquest easier to reset than before, and made it infinite. So assume they will somehow mess it up. Second, it is clear they don't actually play this game. Do they get on a toon every now and then, probably. But their conquest changes clearly indicate they don't actually play the game, or they would have a better understanding of how conquest works with the player base. Third, it is clear this game is in maintenance mode. They have gutted their staff and throw out the occasional new thing (like unasked for strongholds). When they do fix things, it's superficial changes, like the commitment time to invade (which was one of the stupidest complaints on the forums, and that is saying something). In all probability, this will end my subscription. I am already spending more time playing another game. My only hope at this point is that they will screw something up, like they usually do, and create a bug that allows us to play the game with at least some chance of enjoyment.
  15. Good god, get better at conquesting! If you aren't aware of which guilds have the potential to score large points, you aren't paying any attention to conquest. So basically the complaint here is that you thought you were winning but found out you weren't because you weren't keeping track of who invaded what... As for smaller guilds, you aren't guaranteed wins, just rewards for conquest.
  16. I appreciate what you are trying to do but some of your numbers are WAY off. For example, The Colossal takes two minutes, unless you are factoring in the wait for it to spawn and find one. Iokath takes more than an hour because you won't actually complete it in one day, not enough missions to get ten.
  17. You know it's a good sign when there is a change and all your guildies are talking to each other about what games are good to play instead.
  18. The simple fix is to tie that points to completion of the daily heroic mission for a given planet. Corellia heroics part of conquest? Give xxxx points for completing the daily Corellia heroics (that would be three). And let them do them on as many toons as they like. Basically, they have changed the rules so that the quickest and most efficient way to get conquest points is to PvP/GSF amd do the one time rewards strategically to max toons. This means that the big/spammer guilds will win whatever they want out of sheer numbers of players contributing points.
  19. Wouldn't it be great if they published their data and had transparency with regards to their goals and what they are trying to do. Rules matter, and when you change the rules you change behavior. Every change made creates changes in the player base, intended and UNINTENDED. The problem is that I think they really don't sit down and think about what x change will do because they either don't care or don't know because they don't actually conquest. Here's a thought, why not get some top conquesters out there and ask them what they would like to see done. Sorry, made myself laugh...if they seriously cared about this game they would survey the player base, including the thousands that left, and see what changes they could make to have the game be better.
  20. Wow...just wow. The only thing I can assume at this point is that 1) the devs don't actually play this game. If they do, 2) they have never conquested in a guild. You can't offer points for doing heroics and let someone do ONE HEROIC per day for your entire legacy. If a planet had eight heroics, let us run all eight. Tie the conquest points to completing the daily for the planet and up the points. I hope everyone likes grinding out PvP and flashpoints, because that's the only way to get those points. Are you guys actively trying to kill this game?
