  1. the same barrel/rating gives more atk damage/number on an assault cannon and sniper rifle than it is on a blaster rifle. which is major for snipers.
  2. dont cast it on the other teams healer, use it on yours, or yourself, or both. works fine for gunslingers. might be just me, but personally i like an ability that hits for 4k+ a tick for 12 seconds more over an instant that hits once for 6k.
  3. saboteur: 1. very few of them around, people are oblivious to what kind of abilities and damages they do. aoe aggro machine, pvp nuker. 2. superb aoe damage, still decent single target capabilities if aoes are included but will trail behind if no aoes are allowed/target moves around. pressures group pvp well and holds the ground, but still drops quickly under fire even if the spec is arguably the most resilient.
  4. you still get the bonus (ranged immunity) you have on using natural cover by simply crouch in place with proper obstacles (enemies blocked by half-height objects and have green shields above them). rolling for cover is still useful tho, for the rapid movement it provides when doing so.
  5. afaik, i dont think jedi knight or sniper "proc on ability" effect stacks to both targets, though. i might have to test this.

  8. Oh no, you landed on a snake. Move back 4 posts. well, just as some other classes excel on others, like stealth node assault/defense, ball carrying, etc.
  9. which other classes can do just as well, plus some, like: killing the other team and/or healing your team? stealth and defensive cooldowns can go a long way for an 18 second door guard.
  10. plasma probe lasts for 18 seconds and they need to be in range to apply it on one door. placing it on one door and then retreating to other basically means hes not doing anything else other than marathoning it back and forth. placing a plasma probe on the door means one less major tool he could have used defending himself/killing others. also, you can always get him when hes in range to apply the probe and since hes running around means hes not using cover, so go leap/pull/stun him or whatever. snipers/gunslingers are easy kills, they dont have gbtf force camo force shroud force speed stealths heals or whatever else you have. so YES KILL THE DAMN SNIPER is legit and much easier than when it is applied to others.
  11. this is true if you put out straight constant dps all the time. saboteur, for example, have a hard hitter on 1 minute cooldown, in which you can dish out some burst damage within the on-use relic duration and use your standard energy saving rotations otherwise. with that you can actually gain more than a constant stat boost. i posted a couple of months ago that having a different on-use relic equipped (405 power and the 355 power one) you can actually alternate both relics exactly every minute since those dont actually share the same cooldown on use. take note tho, that currently on-use relic had their magnitude cut down for longer duration. so warhero relics would still be very well better overall. more than likely yes.
  12. hard to kill cause they wear heavy armor and shield generators? cause they have skills like guarded by the force, force camo, force shroud, force speed, self heals, stealth, etc.?

  14. there are some mechanic that relies on having to incur a critical hit for a certain effect to happen.
  15. what i've seen most of the time is that people tend to hold everything off until warhero, or at least that's what they planned. some even wants to skip battlemaster gear entirely. point is, while it could be true that warhero had better stat itemization, the point differences between them is minimal. when you see war heroes around steamrolling its because they had their gear optimized and augmented and such, and not because of any kind of astronomical difference between battlemaster and warhero. get your battlemaster gear which shouldn't be too long to acquire, augment them since augmenting is easier now with augment kits, and you'll see how it works wonders. going to warhero is a long shot. recruit gear is imho practically inadequate nowadays, probably just there to tell you "hey look, we have a different set of rules here on pvp compared to pve, this gear will help explain to you about it." that said, while you couldn't possibly dominate with recruit gear, you're still very far from being useless. ccs and interrupts, for example, works regardless of your gear. cc/interrupt those healers instead of wailing your sub-par dps around, cc their cavalry to buy some time for the cappers/planters, or don't break people's ccs and cap/plant the point.

  17. its probably meant to counter the effects of accuracy debuffs. diversion et al. then again probably not diversion, since you probably wont need accuracy when you cant even take cover.
  18. open the map. with an ounce of common sense youd know which side someone meant even if he said "Weast". calling people names just because they dont use your terms is equally ridiculous. note: applies to pugs.
  19. i dont think anyone here wants to take away those iconic class abilities at all. its fine that they can leap and push and pull whoever they wanted to, just not with the ball. remember? Grab the ball, throw the ball. or otherwise let the non force users kick the ball...
  20. for some, there are much better alternatives than doing so, to the point it may not be needed at all. not everyone is a ball runner, but those that arent, werent any better than those that are on that other roles, or not even really necessary on certain plays.
