  2. I doubt the legacy system will do anything to get new players as it requires you to have a 50 and leveling alts. Priority: Character transfers/mergers- majority of the hardcore players are quitting now cause of 1 reason. NO ONE TO PLAY WITH. No one is going to pay 15 dollars to play a single player game. Whats happening is a spiraling down and up effect. People leave a server cause no one is there and remake a character on other servers. This makes some servers VERY crowded and other barren plains. Standard MMO features- Strangely some features are still missing, namely guild and friendlist things. Ex. no guild mailing list, no hide offline friends, can't add offline friends.(i personally believe that bioware is doing "good" in this category. Though these features should have been in the game at launch ex. target of target, guild banks, custom UI). Non priority: Hype- Bioware needs some NEW hype for this game. Hiring Blur studios to make more trailers for events. Everyone had a nerdgasm the first time they saw the "deception" and "hope" trailer Advetising changes- We all know about EAs push in advertising but...seriously....... The only advertising i've seen is banner ads and annoying popups on youtube videos. I don't think I've seen any commercials at all. Also the full background ads are gone. On a side note- Banner ads make the game look cheap. Its the same advertising method used by korean MMO's, F2P MMO's, and the infamous Evony.
  3. From what i've seen set bonus's don't transfer over. At least not from battlemaster to war hero. In order to transfer the augments over you need the specific piece. Chest goes into chest, etc. That way you can't just buy up 5 boots and transfer boot armoring pieces over to all the others.

This is the time that the server population buzz started. I want it noted that I'm not saying that this game is dying or dead. But until EA says the official subscriber numbers we cannot tell, just speculate from the news out there.

  6. The term GG(good game) is usually meant as a sign of respect for your opponent. It's actually what most ppl see as polite to do. It really doesn't have anything to do with how the game turned out at all and it is far better then "you guys suck"
  7. Can you honestly say your glad to see a juggernaut tank or a assassin tank in your voidstar or alderaan? Voidstar And Alderaan Best Classes- Mercenary/powertech- lots of ranged AOE for door/node defense Operative/DPS assassins- stealth door/node caps Sorcs do have an advantage in all warzones.
  8. This argument is nonsensical. It describes very specific instances which don't play out. Every single class has a role in huttball. The only reason people complain about certain classes is they get the "glory" of scoring the ball more. I can tell you for a fact without any support they won't make it to the goalline. No healers and no DPS = No score. They can have 8 sorcs but if they can't control mid they'll never get to use them. The only way those classes can score alone is if someone is in a bad position or you aren't doing your job trying to get the ball. Is it the juggernauts fault that your standing in a place to get jumped to? Nope Is it the sorcs fault that you don't see him there ready to grab a pass? Nope, If you see a Sorc standing there or trying to run ahead kill him or at least push him away. He has to stand there for some time to get the ball. "Glory classes" Juggernaut- can leap to friendly and non-friendly targets, Harder to kill, has un-CCable Assassins- can sprint, Harder to kill, pulls, has bubble, has stealth Sorcerers- Can heal, has sprint, has bubble, Excellent DPS "Support classes" Powertech- can also leap, hard to kill, pulls non-friendlys (strangely you don't see many of these as runners Mercenary- Can heal, hard to kill, Excellent DPS Marauder- Can leap, SUPER bubble, sprint(not as fast), excellent DPS Operative- Can heal, Has stealth, excellent DPS Sniper- Excellent DPS, immune to leaps(while in cover) The only non utility class in huttball is snipers. They make up for this disadvantage by being able to ignore the first rule of huttball, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION as cover can't be leapt to.
  9. Yes! Let's Play Huttball! I'd really like the see different maps for huttball, possibly different traps and obstacles. Go crazy with it, Since huttball is very unique in a pvp setting(compared to other MMOs) you can't really go too wrong creatively. Add conveyers, crushers, cannons, bouncers, multidirection vents, and switches if you like. Maybe even let us kick the ball!

    This isn't a bug. Kills on ilum are Faction wide. If a person was killed recently they have a international cooldown for EVERYONE and NOT the person that just killed them. Most likely your Ops group is camping near the entrance to their base. The /stuck you did was more a coincidence probably because it causes you to wait a bit until their timer is gone

    Grats on 50 and welcome to the major league! From what I'm seeing your gear isn't subpar but your approach may be. Now that your fighting level 50's with all their abilities you have to realize your place in a battle, Your now a support class and not a frontline DPS. Your low armor and loads of channels don't allow this to well. Tips: NEVER be alone NEVER go in first NEVER attack a larger group then your own. STAY BACK. You've got LONG range so use it. Positioning, positioning, positioning! Hide behind pillar! and for god sakes DON'T hide behind fires/traps in huttball. Juggernauts/guardians LOVE jumping to you and you'll become a quick score for the enemy team
  12. Have you ever though that those people are DOING THE OBJECTIVE and not medal farming? If your a huttball runner you won't have any dmg, protection, or healing. If you happen to be defending the unoccupied door/node you also won't get much stats. There's also a chance that they are getting in just as you are losing. If this is the case you won't see a MVP button near them
  13. ATM there is still a bug that will randomly kick you to character screen IN THE MIDDLE of a match. There's also a bug where I force leap and I end up stuck in something/fall through the world and I can't /stuck out. Fix those... Then fix warzone's not counting toward daily then add deserter debuff.

Lorewise I think it would be pretty easy to put in a new faction....just make the independent- bounty hunters, smugglers, and if you NEED jedi make Exiles (like ben kenobi or the Exile from Kotor 2) Sadly this is WAY to late for that. Think of the new areas, stories, voiceacting, and additional cost of producing all that. Not to mention the time. It took over 3 years for 8 classes, imagine how long it would've take for 12. Not to mention all the bugs and balance, some of which still needs fixing.
  15. Once you get to the 50 bracket its the exact opposite. I'm a sith juggernaut and I usually do about 30k dmg and 10k protection, earn maybe 2-3 medals(thats REALLY low).....BUT I score 4-6 huttballs, intercept ball carriers, defend doors and nodes. The higher stats you get means the less objectives you did. Sidenote- scoring 1-6 touchdown can result still in a 0 objective score. No idea how objective score works
  16. I think what some snipers are forgetting is that a root to a melee IS a stun. Esp to juggernaut and marauders since we have 2 moves past 10 meters and only 3 moves we can use when over 4 meters. Since I'm a juggernaut I'll give those examples: Over 10 meters: Force throw- hurts about 800 From a BM geared person to a BM geared person Force Charge- leaps and roots for 2 seconds CAN'T be used on people in cover Between 4-10 meters Force scream- This one hurts.... Force Push- pushes about 5 miles away, resets charge, knockdown animation = 1.5 second stun Vicious throw- only usable on targets below 20% health With root bypassing resolve you basically make resolve USELESS to melee as you can make them stay still(thus not able to dmg you)....then stun them again once resolve is gone.

  18. I have to ask.... Wouldn't it have been an easier experiment to just use the gear that you had when you were leveling? There are so many factors not brought into account. -Experience on THAT SPECIFIC class during 50 bracket(not saying you haven't seen tactics assassins used before but maybe you didn't know the rotation). - Changing from a ranged class to a melee class. Melee classes use much different skill and are totally different from ranged in terms of gameplay. -Changed from DPS to a tank class. Tank classes usually hit WAY less then their DPS counterparts I'm not saying gear doesn't make a huge difference. What I am saying is that this experiment has to many X factors.

Technically thats a 3v2 and you should have hit the healer and not the tank(I'm guessing). the reason 45-49 bracket is so "great" is because you have more skills/talents/gear then your level 10 counterparts. YES gear! Not everyone has 13k health....i wonder why.... Secondly level 45-49 brackets are "better" is because lack of tactics. games are always closer if ppl just beat on each other and not go after ball carrier or defend doors/nodes. Once you learn the in's and out's of the 50 bracket you'll be fine.
  20. True but I feel if you did that you would essentially skip centurion and go straight to champion. And that still doesn't fix the wasted items from the system.
  21. Seems as of late there are 2 main arguments (4 if you count all the nerf ones/ ilum). The first argument is that the RNG system of bags is not fun and very luck based. The second is that new pvpers are at such a disadvantage to the battlemasters that it isn't fair. My proposal: 1. Add a centurion bag. (centurion tokens inside with a crit chance to have double tokens!). Make Centurion bags non unique. 2. Add a blue set with minimal expertise: from 100-200 3. Add a valor rank to all pvp items except the blue set in number 2 Gladiators( #2 blue set) - no valor Centurion set- 30+ valor Champion set- 40+ valor Battlemasters- 60+ valor Changes: Champ bags now drop champ tokens (crit chance= DOUBLE TOKENS!) Remove the "crit item" item drop from champ bags Battlemasters bag now drop battlemasters token (crit = DOUBLE TOKENS!) Raise the amount battlemaster items cost to correlate with centurion/champion set Overall scale down on Commendations required for an item. (currently 72 centurion comms for a mainhand.... scale it down to 36. At proposed rate its still 12 bags for a mainhand. Roughly a weeks worth of dailies to get this item.) Centurion bag price = 150 merc + 150 warzone Champ bag cost = 200 merc + 200 warzone Battlemaster bag = 500-1000 merc + 500-1000 warzone (battlemasters will agree something to spend warzone comms on is better then nothing) Weekly reward is now- 1 centurion bag, 1 champion bag, 1 choice (all 3 bags) Daily reward- 1 choice(all 3 bags) THE HOPE: The hope is that new 50's should be able to get at least the blue set at the beginning in addition will be able to store up saved warzone comms for the centurion set. Everyone is then on equal footing in terms of time they put into this game. Then there is no more complaining about the abundance of wasted items. (I personally have 8 extra implants and 2 extra offhands and mainhands. In addition no more complaints from the battlemasters that the new 50's have it to easy cause of the valor rank requirement on gear. It also allows for more clear cut goals so people can see what they need to do and thus extending the longevity of pvp in the future. Feel free to pick apart this proposal. It's just an idea and I hope it catches on. (I know this could take a month to implement do to the changes)
  22. Well then what would stop people from using PvE gear in PvP if PvP gear had no stats? The same arguement would still be had but instead of a 19k hp with expertise tank is attacking you a 24k hp tank with no expertise but with more power/str is attacking you? It's far faster to gear out PvP then PvE. The solution to that? Make PvE gear have no stat increase....and then might as well delete nightmare/hardmodes too. The fact is no matter what your going to be at a disadvantage to someone who worked for their gear. The reason everyone thinks 10-49 bracket is so amazing is when you're coming out of it your the top dog. You're beating up level 10's and 20's who have no chance. And if you say bolster gives then a chance to beat you, your just bad. A level 49 is not going to lose to a level 10-30 even with bolster. Now your level 50 and your basically the new level 10's and you can't take being weak again. There are also new abilities that people only get at 50. So now you blame your losses to you being undergeared but in reality it's you, standing in the wrong places and generally helping your opponent. If you do your dailies and weeklies and store up those champ bags you'd have close to a full set by now. Fresh 50: 1 champ bag 1000 warzone comms + 1000 merc comms = 5 champ bags weeklys= 6 champ bags dailies for week= 14 champ bags In your first week, if you work....that's 26 champ bags guarenteed! + any additional champ bags you earn along the way. Don't be lazy
  23. Well let me ask you... how do you determine a new 50 as opposed to a old 50? By expertise? If you even out expertise it makes the stat useless this makes all endgame pvp gear useless as pve gear would be so much better. By time they were 50? If you do it by this then the lucky ones that get lots of champion gear their first week would destroy battlemasters and other unlucky people who have been 50 for ages because of the bolster going above and beyond top ranked gear. Maybe add in blue level 50 armor with some expertise? It will really make no difference. your still going to be destroyed by those who have been 50 longer. There's no solution to what your proposing. Older 50's are always going to be more geared then new 50's. Everyone goes through this process and you're no different. They've put in the time to improve and you should too.
  24. Vengence is sorta a tanking/dps build. You get increased endurance plus a 4% reduction on incoming dmg. This build is also a great utility spec for teamplay(esp huttball). This is the build i use. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101cMhZIMMRrhddMRZb.1 This is a stance dance build. You'll be switching from shien form in voidstar and alderaan. and soreau form in huttball. That should net you from 7-10 medals easily. It has a much easier learning curve then rage spec. No building for one big crit. that being said you'll need crit/surge stats for DPS or def/absorb for tanking. Huttball: Your the runner/escort You should have a huge lifepool (19k-21k) charge/intercede + push/charge combos (with unstoppable talent they cannot knock you off the railings after you charge toward the goalline) Voidstar/Alderaan Node Guarding duty LOTS of dots. (cause of the the dots added to your moves they won't be able to cap it before reinforcements come.)
