  1. Hey all, First, let me say I enjoy SWTOR so much! I am having trouble deciding on focusing on 1 character (altitis), but I want to settle and focus on 1 character only to enjoy the story and republic missions I haven't done. Currently, I have a 43 jugg who although I love the story, the dps is too weak even in rage spec. I have a 24 BH which I like but haven't played in over a year and can't seem to get back into him. I decided to get a fresh perspective on the game and start a republic character. Got a jedi shadow to 18- the combat is amazing as shadow, but the story seems like such a snooze, and i find myself forcing actions during dialogue. Made a 11 gunslinger- this time the story is fun and exciting, but the combat is a touch boring. I tried the scoundrel last year and didn't enjoy the stealth mechanic with it. I ruled the knight out since I have a 43 jugg. Just got my trooper to 10 and have enjoyed the combat as full as a fun story. I plan on going medic spec. Can anyone speak to if the trooper continues to be enjoyable? Or should I just focus on the shadow and just choke the story down?
  2. You say you love the game, but you are just spewing hate. The game was released in December. Take a chill pill. Even a baby takes 9 months.
  3. Thanks for clarifying that about posting.
  4. As mentioned in the subject, the ability to post in the forums should be connected with your subscription (not active can't post in the forums). I am sick and tired of people who "have left the game" 3 months ago (who by the way still secretly play because they can't get enough) who continually post on the forums and ruin the experience for other players both current and incoming. I am fine if you didn't enjoy your experience, and I respect that. Move on then. But please do not poision the perspective of the people who want to try this game, or just troll these forums because you are bored. Show some respect for the current community. I have had nothing but an enjoyable experience, and for a freshly released MMO I think most would agree (minus the people on this forum). Yes, this is solely my opinion and I realize others don't share it. If your opinion is "rawr I quit no ranked warzones in this patch." Well, read the thing that says "coming soon" a feature they are aware people want. The MMO community today makes me sick. I miss the mature diehards of the EQ era. Where did they all go? All that exists now is a bunch of brats who have been spoiled by their current gaming experience and buy gold to get the best gear. Surprise face... why would they put all their features in in one huge patch all so you could complain that theres nothing to do in 3 months? It's called baiting a rabbit with a carrot. It's business. You can't have your cake and eat it too, that's not how MMO's work. If you want to be constructive great, but please please please keep the "game is dying" comments out of the forums. This game has a specific market it is intended for and it does a great job of reaching those diehard fans of the star wars universe.
  5. First, let me say I'm sorry to read your post. I was fortunate to pick a good server with very heavy population. Unfortunately, this is not something they can just snap their fingers and do. My best suggestions for now is finding a good guild with quality people can change your tune quickly. Having fun with mature mates will make you forget how many people are in the fleet.
  6. If you can stick around those things you want concerning pvp are comin shortly. On the main page is a link to the video. Rumors are march for the major patch.
  7. Wonderful post. Only thing I would say is that I hear a lot of people saying the game is too easy to lvl. I think because the game takes out the grindy feel. The cutscenes make the leveling feel alive and fresh. I think that's why it appears easy, but it's on par with everything else out there. Leveling with a purpose as I call it.
  8. Sorry you aren't enjoying yourself, but I appreciate your constructive but not negative post. I am having an amazing time in game and feel bad if not everyone likes it. Keep your eye on this one though, there's so much room for content, races, etc... Hope to see you back again.
  9. Great post, thanks! I'm in full agreement and think this is hilarious. People hate when things are doing well.
  10. First let's be serious. No MMO is hard today, those days are over. I could log into WoW right now and pug heal a hard mode with ZA/ZG gear. So don't sit here and complain the game is easy, because they all are. To the OP, I'm not sure is this post a brag about how many hours a day you play? Or that you can rush every piece of content to be at the top? Or prove you don't have a job? Or prove you are a NGT (non girl toucher)? If the game is so bad why did you spend every waking second accomplishing everything you could? If you didn't like the content options (which you were aware of) no one put a gun to your head. Where do people get off expecting 7 years of content in month 1?
  11. To Dave- I did respond that although I own one I let the OP know its overpriced. Please read
  12. I play on a MX17 Alienware. Able to run the game on with little problem except fram rate dips in the fleet. While I reccommend what's inside, I don't reccommend the price. There's a lot of good Asus laptops with similar specs that are more affordable. They have a i7 processor and a gtx 560 card (laptop) with up to 12 gigs of ram some advertise. Believe it's the Gseries. Here's a link http://m.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230100. You want find something with a similiar card to the 560m and at least 8gb ram. The i7 should help some bottleneck gpu issues.
  13. Wish we could sticky. Wonderful post OP! Positive and smart!
  14. First let me say, I am fortunate enough to play on ven zallow so during the times I can play after work everything is packed with 100+ usually (not always). The talk of server merger is a good thing, but it's far too early for that. The second that this would happen, the forums will set ablaze with "sick of server ques I quit" or "too many noobs now" etc... Basically the community is never satisfied. So it's not a fix all. My suggestion to those who are not enjoying their experience on a less crowded server are: Have you find a nice guild yet? Sometimes meeting some awesome people can make the difference. Big servers don't make things better neccissarily. I prefer the more small time, homey servers usually. Big servers lead to elitists, I'm better than yous, and the my e-peen is bigger. To quote Billy Madison "For the love of God cherish it!"
