  1. We all have choices in life; you made yours. It's not the dev's fault you chose to re-roll on different servers. QQ somewhere else. As a wise man once said, "I can only please one person a day. Today is not your day, and tomorrow doesn't look good either." The devs are working to address the problem; so quit whining about what they will do, or won't do, or how it doesn't align perfectly with your poor decisions. Patience is a virtue that has been lost on you. Since your demand of instant gratification won't be answered, there seems to be only two logical conclusions. You can just quit the game. By your postings, it seems as though the plight of your life can never be solved by free server transfers. Therefore, I would highly recommend the former suggestion, rather than the latter. Either way, it will, hopefully, end your crying about free server transfers to address the low population issue within the game.
  2. Since you brought it up, WOW had this same problem early on as well. In 2006, WOW had a massive server transfer issue, and they wouldn't even allow for paid transfers until later. We understand that you're new to this MMORPG thing, but this is the natural balance of things, and all things come in time. As I've highlighted about your ignorance and inability to read before; they will be offering two opportunities for free transfers from low populated servers to other servers to increase server population. If you're on a low population server, chances are that you will have the opportunity to transfer your characters. Quit your whining, the sky is not falling there chicken little.
  3. You quote it, but did you even READ it? "First we’ll have some targeted free transfers from/to specific servers, but that will be followed with a broader system where you can either take advantage of free promotional transfers to specific servers or paid transfers to the server of your choice." Two opportunities to move for FREE. Stop your QQ and actually read for once.
  4. I concur. I only read the forums when I'm bored at work. Why would we read the forums when we could be playing the game?
  5. Quit whining. If you get the plague; just blow up like the rest of the populace, laugh a little, and carry on with playing. You make it out to be some horrible doomsday event. If you don't want to pay for the vaccine, then just wait until you blow up in a cloud of green gooey mist. Cause and effect; learn it, live it, accept it.
  6. This is hilarious. Great metaphore Drexorn. Bottomline: People will never be satisfied. The developers are going to do what they feel is best for the game. If you don't agree, unsubscribe, or suck it up buttercups.
  7. I hear console, single player, games are fun. You just run around without any contact with other players. To the OP and yourself, I'd recommend you remove the stick from your rear parts and either stop playing MMORPGs, or get over it. It gets really old hearing people complaining "OH NOES PEOPLE IS INTERACTIN WIF ME IN MMO GAMESES!!! QQ". As you stated in your whining session, there is already a precedent for this, so you knew it was likely to occur prior to you subscribing. Claiming ignorance is not a defense. In SWTOR you are guaranteed virtual life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness; not happiness in of itself.
  8. Dear developers, I had hoped that this was going to be in 1.2, but it isn't, so here's my latest request. Please allow the movement of companion abilities on the toolbar. With all of the UI customization in 1.2, I thought that the ability to rearrange a companion's abilities within their hotbar would have been one of them. Background information: I play a healing operative. In the course of playing, I tend to "sleep" a mob, then kill the others before focusing back on the sleeping mob. Because of this, I turn all AOEs off from Kaliyo; which means that I have to have the companion abilities pulled up most of the time. The new UI customization was great, because I was able to move it and resize it so it's not so obnoxious; however, it would be great if I could just put Kaliyo's AOE abilities in the first few slots, then set the hotbar to only show those slots to remove even more clutter from my HUD. I'm sure there are a plethora of other reasons people will want this, that was just mine and my justification. Thank you.
  9. But that's impossible to hit. Unless you're from some desolate planet where you don't have anything better to do than to sit around with friends shooting womp rats for pleasure. Also, you have to fly down this long trench, and we have plenty of green lazer shooting cannons on the ridges; no one can get through there. Trust me.
  10. Fun fact, you may only have ONE MATRIX CUBE. Meaning, if you have all 12 Matrix shards, you cannot make more than one Matrix Cube relics. Impact: If you're a Bounty Hunter and put in ALL BLUE for the Matrix Cube, then think you can put in ALL YELLOW for the +def Matrix Cube, you are mistaken. I am a sad Bounty Hunter tank I haven't seen this fact posted before, and if it is, then I must have missed it and my apologies for the double post.
  11. I like this idea. I wouldn't even mind losing the "Use" function of the relic, but when I drop in over 1k hp immediately, that's a bit harsh. I would like to remind everyone commenting that this wasn't a "decision" in the way of story or event driven, it was a "decision" because I missed the text on the item which indicated that the Diplomacy mission was "Light". I'm not sure how the system works if I use the item and then don't run the mission, but I assumed it'd disappear; so as not to lose the chance to use a one-time mission, I sent my comp on the mission. So, the notion of "If you're full Dark, then you should adhere to the morality choices" doesn't apply. Trust me, my role-playing morality is not for the feint of heart lol. This was a diplomacy mission that critted. Just something else to consider when making these comments about alignment and morality choices.
  12. And these are the comments that are not constructive to the OP. Thank you for trolling But, to respond to your spite-filled comment; yes, some of us have things like work, sleep, family, or a myriad of other reasons why we would like to catch an elevator quickly to save time. It's a quality of life thing that the developers mention in their weekly posts that they look for. If someone doesn't bring them up, then the developers won't know about them. So, instead of trolling the forums looking for places where you can spew your snide remarks, why not go find something constructive to do? Thank you.
  13. Dear Developers, Why are the dual-elevators set to elevate at the same time? Are you afraid that people will crowd the elevators and push one another off? In all seriousness, could you please set the elevator timers, if there are multiple elevators, to elevate in opposite intervals. This would allow a player to get onto the platform while the other is up, and vice-versa. What's, really, the point of having two elevator platforms if they're moving at the same time, at the same pace, and at the same interval next to one another? Thank you.
  14. Right, but one choice is not always the most sensible choice. In some cases, a choice may have to be made to gain access to a specific boss (a'la Black Talon, though I'm not sure if different gear drops, I'm just using this as an example of changes in story and access), or even story driven content. I'm thinking specifically on Balmorra where you can choose to kill the Force sensitives or not, then decide to rat them out. Depending on your light/dark choice, you either leave the area, or you have to run through and fight people. So content changes based on your choice, which is a fantastic thing!! One's response to this is "live with the consequences of your decisions", and it's a valid argument, but when you're talking about the complete removal of specific content and access to possible gear upgrades, commendations, etc, there should be some buffer to allow for these decisions to not completely ruin the utilization of your gear.
  15. Yea, here's a hint, try reading what the developers are saying; in particular what's passed in the weekly Q&A, the latest which is found here: http://www.swtor.com/blog/community-qa-march-16th-2012 I'm sure you can find time to read that little piece and what the developers are working on while you're trolling around on the forums and looking to cause grief among the community. L2R L2T L2P
  16. All of these are good reasons, but I would argue that 5 levels is too low of a cap. If my opinion matters (and this is the internet, so of course it does and everyone takes what someone else says with respect and understanding), I feel that 10 levels is adequate. Obviously, there will be degraded damage from a lvl 35 to a lvl 40, versus the damage from a lvl 40 to lvl 35. Another point that I don't care for is the range at which people can see stealthed players. For example, I was playing my Op at mid-30s on Tatooine and was seen from an incredibly far distance (well past 50 yards in-game distance, definitely outside of the 30 yard range to shoot one another) by a mid-40 player. Obviously, he ran straight to me and killed me. This is bad.
  17. Step 1: Steal Underpants Step 2: Step 3: Profit
  18. Dear omnipotent Developers!! Would it be possible to provide for a small Level 5 Dark/Light Side buffer? This would allow for a greater possibility for playing one's character, while not losing the ability to use Level 5 relics immediately. Background: I am full Dark Side and have Diplomacy and selected a random Diplomacy quest that had dropped. Before I used it, I failed to notice (yes, user error, user beware) that it was a Light Side quest. Not wanting to lose it, I decided to send my companion out to do it, and make up for the points afterwards. Luckily for me, my companion Crit, and I lost about 180 Dark Side points. I was then unable to use my Level 5 Dark Side relics; something I didn't realize until I was in a WZ and noticed that I was down about 1.2k hp. I understand the desire to have people at Level 5 to be at the cusp of good/bad morality, and I applaud it, but would it be too much to ask for a 100 point buffer? Why 100 points? Most choices in the game come in incriments of 50 points; minor morality choices being 50, and major morality choices at 150. With 100 points, this would allow someone the option to make a minor choice to be good, while not forcing them to lose 1.2k hp and the loss of On Use items immediately. Just a thought.
  19. Slicing + Diplomacy = $$ and Dark Side / Light Side points gained while questing. I leveled to 50 with just those two, and was able to buy the 1 mil lvl 50 speeder with about 600k left over. Bonus for the Diplomacy, if you want to stay lvl 5 Dark/Light side (if nothing else than to maintain the use of your relics), you can make up for any opposite choices while playing through a couple quests. Fun fact: I just started down the Bio road on an alt, and the medpacks and stims are more powerful than those dropped off of mobs, and if you're playing a non-healing class (especially one without a healer companion early on), they are worth their weight in gold.
  20. Here's a simple button that would make life a little easier when creating new characters. "Apply to All" button on the Key Bindings and settings menu. Background, if you care to read: I've created 8 characters already, one for every adv class in my faction. I do this for every MMORPG I play, because you never know which class is going to be "rebalanced" and become OP in raids; so I plan ahead and level all of them. I use a Razor Naga mouse and have the buttons bound to my number pad. This means that for every character I created, I had to go through and change all of the key bindings to mirror 1 through =. I then have to change all of the camera settings, targeting settings, and all other misc commands. If there was a "Apply to All" button on the Settings menu, I would avoid having to do this process 8 times; this will also keep people who want their characters to have different key bindings from getting upset because you blanket them all (ala WoW). Thank you for the consideration.
  21. Sounds like some serious QQ. "I'm a stealther." What the hell does that even mean, and how does it have any bearing on Huttball? My main is an OP, I stealth, I can't push or pull anyone into vats or off of ledges, I heal, I carry, I pass, and I typically win with a team who is focused on scoring and not just trying to rack up kills. This is an open and shut case of either L2P or go QQ to someone else. The only issue with Huttball is that it's the only one that seems to play, as it's the only one which pits everyone against everyone, rather than faction vs faction. This leads to a majority of one's WZ experience being spent in Huttball, and not any other. Respectfully.
  22. Good points from the OP, but I think you're being a bit irrational. Something to consider: for all intents and purposes, a majority of people will argue that World of Warcraft was a success on multiple levels. With that in mind, I played WoW from release in '05 to pre-Cata, and I watched a game which was called to be everything from "a bridge too far" to "uninspiring" grow into the most successful (whatever metric you wish to use on this point) MMORPG of all time. Everything was broken, and you couldn't go into a major city without lagging out. It took, at least, a year (arguably two) before WoW became the game people grew to know, love, and hate. Forum trolls complained about lore from previous Warcraft games, and claimed that Blizzard wasn't listening to the community. Exactly the same as what everyone comes on here and complains about. I urge people to keep in mind that it has been three months since release. Three. We are in the same realm that WoW was in with "a bridge too far". Consider all of the aspects and people the developers are trying to please, with all of the opinions. So before you submit your "vote of no confidence", keep in mind that no MMO is perfect, and even the most successful MMORPG of all time took a long time before they eased into their paces. Respectfully.
  23. This is NOT meant to be a personal attack; but if you're playing 2 levels under your class quests, then you should learn how to play the game. I went the whole way through with at least 2 levels above the required quests. The only way I can see you being 2 levels lower than your class quests is if you do ONLY your class quests, which is what I had to do starting in my late 30s and early 40s because all of my quests were turning grey before I finished the planet. With all of your "experience" with a 50, 45, and 32, I would have hoped you'd learn how to quest. Bottomline: it's not the developers' fault if you can't level properly in this game. The developers have put in daily heroics, so if you can't even get in on those, then maybe there are other issues that you haven't considered. Respectfully.
  24. Because Customer Service doesn't like it when I agree with the OP with the word "bump", I'm going to put more to a comment to help their ignorance. I AGREE WITH THE OP AND FEEL THAT THE DEVS SHOULD IMPLEMENT GUILD LOGS. There, hopefully some over-zealous Customer Service Troll won't delete this one.
