  1. I can't stand the new "proc" for my TA. I don't notice when it procs more than half the time it does so have to look and see if TA pops by looking for the little icon. Give me back my laugh. There has to be a way to work it in so only I can hear it if my chuckle is a such a problem for other players in my group or whatever.
  2. I wouldn't pay to throw Theran out the airlock simply because I would want to do it to all my companions on this character with the exception of Nadia. Seriously, they all suck.
  3. I'm actually disappointed there were so few non-human options for us females. We get all of one while guys get five. Some of us want to romance aliens too. I suppose you COULD count Vector and say we get two, but he is still technically human so I do not. Male non-human romance options- Akaavi, Nadia, Vette, Kaliyo and Ashara. Female non-human romance options - Aric Jorgen. I am seriously disappoint. I'm pretty sure it's not just the me and guys that want to romance some aliens.
  4. Magenta is a pink. Slightly purpleish pink but still a pink type colour.
  5. There are some of us who hate Theran for being a giant jerk and not because of the whole idea that he's some kind of misogynist. I always found him to be an immature brat who thinks he should always get his way because he's a (let's face it he really is) a brilliant scientist who doesn't suffer from any sort of social phobias. I never saw Holiday as sexist I just thought oh, holographic life form, that's actually kind of cool I wonder how that works. I have no idea why she cares for him and the only reason I can think of is that he does take good care of her maintenance. I thought it was annoying that if you even showed respect for Jedi teachings he would give you negative affection points. Why on earth does he even bother coming with you if he hates everything about who and what you are? The point I'm trying to make being, not everyone who hates Cedrax is on some kind of feminist vendetta. Some of us just think his character sucks because we wouldn't want to be friends with a jerky egomaniac.
  6. In my opinion Doc>Vector>Quinn>Torian>Corso>Aric (I could take him or leave him)>Andronikos (Like the character but not interested in the romance)>Iresso (Honesly I hate the guy)
  7. I'm wholeheartedly glad they addressed the crafting issue. Almost all the crafting skills are useless and it is good to know something is going to be done about it. While I am concerned about the state of the SGRA I can see why they didn't answer it. If they say it's coming on X day/month/week/patch and it doesn't come out that day/month/week/patch then things would end up worse than they already are. So I can see the rationale, but I still would like to know, especially considering there is no definitive answer on whether or not older companions would be allowable or if they would be adding more companions to compensate for the "lock out" of older companions. Still, if you were to ask me if I'd be upset they fixed game breaking bugs or were working on important balance fixes before working on this, my answer would be no. Fix the game and then get to optional things. Just don't completely forget about the SGRA issue just because it's something that is optional.
  8. I had to be blue. There was no other choice as awesome. Especially when I play with my friend's big red Zabrak sith warrior. Go team 3D glasses.
  9. Honestly I wanted to see some sort of thing where the Jedi counsel or Satele ask me about my marriage to Doc. Although there were no witnesses to the event so I suppose it may not happen unless someone else on the ship rats me out at some point or another. I think it would be a fun and interesting thing to happen. I know they said they'd expand on the companion relationships in the future so we can only wait and see what they do. Kids I'm not interested in quite so much (not at all actually), but companion reactions (I always giggle at the thought of Kira reacting to my marriage to Doc Or Kaliyo making fun of me for being with Vector etc etc) and other fun stuff has the potential for huge amounts of lots of fun dialogue options.
  10. I found myself wholeheartedly agreeing with this post. It almost exactly sums up my feelings on Quinn.
  11. There is a video on youtube of a Mirialan JK saying that "children might not be possible due to key genetic differences" after Doc brings it up and he suggests adopting a Balmorran orphan. So I know this does come up.
  12. I play OP because I like the class (well the idea behind it. We are in need of some major repair) and wanted to see the story. I find Vector highly amusing and can hope one day we will be fixed because I really enjoy healing with probes.
  13. Honestly while I do enjoy some of the romances I did notice a severe lack of flirty options for us female players. The flirt dialogue is some of the funniest in the game (play with a male friend of mine almost 90% of the time and I see his flirting and lol hardcore while I wonder where my flirty options are). I'd like to see some more flirty options, SGR and some more romance options in general for females. Female Jedi consular and Female Inquisitor romances are not my cup of tea and are my least favourite which is why I'm mentioning them specifically. I do however enjoy a few of our romance options, Doc (He's my personal favourite. I've made a lot of Pro-Doc posts in other threads so I won't get into it here.) as well as Vector, Torian and Quinn so it's not ALL BAD. I honestly half expected Quinn to scream "SEXUAL HARASSMENT!!!" at some point but he warmed up to me eventually. When I rolled female IA I was expecting to flirt up the galaxy and was totally disappointed, the same for my female smuggler. I expected the Jedi knight and consular to have less flirty options but for them to at least BE THERE. Hopefully this is fixed sometime in the future.
  14. I've had this happen to me many times. I've noticed when I did drop, people had companions out and or were spamming AOE skills to be annoying. When this did not happen I made it across just fine. You should still report this as a bug though, it's quite annoying.
  15. Oh. My. God. DO WANT THIS! I might even have to find someone to make me some Killik pajamas for my own sleep times as well. I have to jump in on the Vector love. He's interesting. Sure he's odd, but he's sweet and kind of charming in his own quirky way.
  16. Snipers DO need something to make them better, but stealth is not it. I agree that snipers are lacking (I have an operative and a sniper so I'm not trying to hate) I just disagree with the idea that "snipers should have stealth." They should do something about the big bright shiny cover that just screams "Sniper/Gunslinger here!!!!! Come over and murder me please!!!" I do concede that with a class name like "sniper" being sneaky and hiding for an opportune strike really makes it seem like stealth should go with the class. However, when and when you look at the pathetic range with our weaponry as well as our skill set "sniper" seems like the wrong class name in general. I still wonder though, if the class name was "Imperial Recon" or "Imperial Special Forces" or something of that nature would people be asking for stealth or would they just be asking for class buffs/fixes which is really what I think we need over stealth.
  17. Thank you! I completely forgot what his name was and all I could remember was that he was a really good looking guy, which of course is not exactly helpful when it comes to remembering names. My friends made fun of me the whole way for playing through the Doc romance and swooning over him, but I can amuse myself with a fun little RPG romance story every now and again I think.
  18. Edit: Changed my mind. I want to know what progress if any has been made for same gender romances and if there will be new companions added for it, if we can romance older companions or both.
  19. Nautolan, Tor'gruta and Voss, I'm pretty sure my spelling is off on all of those except Voss. If I had to pick just one I'd go for Tor'gruta though.
  20. I hope they patch in same gender relationships for existing companions and if they add new companions that's fine. I feel this should have been included at launch, and I was honestly surprised it wasn't considering some other BioWare games... However, since it wasn't I'll just toss my hat in and say I support same gender romance options and I hope original companions aren't "locked out".
  21. Good to know I wasn't the only one not fooled by his "Now scoot!" line. I saw it and thought ah ha! I see what you're trying to do there Doc and I'm not falling for your act. He really is super sweet when he gets all lovey and he admits he really has feelings for you. I really liked the option to confront him and ask him what's going on in your relationship. It showed he was concerned about your "being a Jedi and Jedi aren't supposed to be attached" thing. I know a lot of people thought he was just "some womanizer" but he legitimately thought "Oh she's a Jedi, she must only want a fling since they're not supposed to have relationships". I thought it really showed a lot of his true self in that moment. It seemed to me at least, like he was legitimately hurt at the thought of you thinking he was "just using you" and I found it to be sweet. I can't recall the name of his voice actor at the moment but he really did a good job, especially during the scenes where he tries to hide how he's got real feelings for your Jedi knight. I knew he made me giggle like a silly schoolgirl quite often. Quite often indeed.
  22. The problem I have with what you're saying (Not saying your opinion is wrong since it is an opinion as well as what I'm about to say) is that plot twists and shocking moments COULD have been implemented. Just because you're playing a Jedi diplomat does not mean the story can't be exciting. I've read many books about boring subjects that turned out to be fantastic because they had memorable characters, expected as well as unexpected plot points that were delivered in a way to promote overall enjoyment of the story presented. One of the main flaws of the consular story, at least in my mind is the repetition. Sure when you play a JK it's go here and save this then go over and save that but at LEAST you're facing different foes with different types of plans and your companions actually HAVE REASONS FOR COMING WITH YOU. I cannot stress the irritation I got because with the exception of Nadia, no one who is on your ship as a companion has a reason to be there for any reason whatsoever. There is no excuse for lack of entertainment just because "you're a diplomat! You shouldn't expect dramatic plot twists and excitement!" I don't mind "cleaning up messes" within the order or "helping in republic diplomatic relations" all of these things I felt had the potential for some serious fun factor plot wise which I felt was not there. There is also the fact that a lot of plot points don't seem accounted for if you play dark side or neutral. This story felt like they passed it off to someone who forgot they were supposed to be writing a story and then handed in a very rough draft that was accepted because they had no other options. I really felt they dropped the ball, the interesting lore and potential they had with a Jedi diplomat was so great they may have just been setting themselves up for failure. They just did not deliver on any count except for class mechanics. (Even those have some of their own issues but that is something altogether not plot related) Some of my favourite games of all times are visual novel games and plot heavy rpgs where sometimes I just want to skip all the battles because I want more story! I don't need tons and tons of action to feel a story is good. So please, please do not think I'm just hating on it because "I want bash things with my lightsaber!!" You know what? tl:dr - Just because you're a diplomat doesn't mean you can't have an exciting plot. Excitement doesn't have to be SUPER ACTION, it can just be well written memorable things you need to overcome to help diplomatic relations or some such. Lack of action isn't the problem, it's lack of good characterization of the people surrounding you and lack of depth to the story itself.
  23. Short answer: No. No it does not. It's as thrilling as watching paint dry. There are a bunch of threads already about this in the consular forums but for the sake of laziness I will just re-post what I posted there because I don't see the need to retype the same thing. And I don't know how much of that thread you'd want to actually bother reading. I am aware I have been very negative regarding this subject countless times, but I cannot stress just HOW MUCH this story pissed me off. Long answer: Consular storyline is horrible. Worst of all the classes I have tried so far. I did get to 50 on mine and stopped playing right after I finished because it pissed me off so much. The companion characters are all unlikeable and boring except for Nadia, who is still boring but at least she's a bit likeable. Whoever did the voice acting for the females put little to no emotion into their performance and time and time again I wished I could punch whoever did it in the face along with whoever okayed the performance. Prologue - I was excited to play this class and hoping for something good. Chapter 1 - Feeling VERY skeptical on how things were going. Chapter 2 - Not interested at all. Playing for the love of the class mechanics. Chapter 3 - COMPLETELY PISSED OFF at how terrible the story and companions are but want to finish hoping the ending makes it worth the effort. I felt SO cheated at the end off all this, as if they forgot to write the scenario for the class and then threw in some half-formulated ideas and ran with it hoping no one would notice. Qyzen Fess is boring. Theran Cedrax is a jerk (I would use harsher language but can't), Zenith is as interesting as drying paint, Iresso is a generic soldier (woo hoo for a boring military man), Nadia is cute at least. I felt like I wasted my time paying attention to the story. I finished my final class quest and thought to myself..."This is it? I thought at least something interesting would have happened. Even my final title I get at the end of the story is garbage." All the "big reveals" were predictable and the pacing is GODAWFUL. Slow in the beginning and rushing at the end as if they want you to hurry through so you don't have to think about how stupid and boring things really are in this story. I knew I was playing a diplomat who could also throw down in a fight, but I guess I expected too much (You know, a good story.) I was hoping for some interesting political intrigue or at least something that had even the slightest bit of substance. I've read more interesting children's picture books if you want me to be completely honest. I would have quit and re-rolled if not for me enjoying the class itself and been really hoping things would pick up. I kept thinking, "this is boring but it's got to get better!" It never did. There are some who enjoy the story which really astounds me, but to each their own I suppose.
  24. I leveled with him and got bonus points for the Balmorra bonus. Not sure about Quesh though, it's been a while. I know for a fact that I got bonus points on Hoth as well, so if you're not getting any that is definitely a bug assuming you're making "save all the people!" choices.
  25. I can agree with the Andronikos thing, but when you change Iresso, most of the time his voice REALLY doesn't fit which makes things even more off about him. And sadly, changing his appearance doesn't help his personality and characterization shortcomings. No offense if anyone out there likes the guy.
