  1. True. What I see is they changed op healer to a wow rogue with healing abilities. If the crap hits the fan, I just hit Cloaking Screen and run away..or just die and realize I need to either change tactics or get some help in this MMO.
  2. I missed it at first on my Operative Healer- but after awhile [and after upgrading Kaliyo to lvl 55 gear] - I really don't miss it now. I just had to adapt my combat style to what I used in Wow on my Rogue - CC's and try to take out each target one by one.
  3. /agree on the Imperial side as well. HM FP's seem to pop within 10 minutes and well... PVP - can't really say much about that as I haven't been back since the open world ILUM days. Heck - we've managed to successfully PUG HM EV as well [which isn't difficult if you have 8 people who can understand instructions].
  4. I'd say it's nothing more than a "free demo" as long as they do not allow sending/receiving emails or trading items/currency.
  5. Cliff notes of what I took away from reading: I don't care about the content [story arcs, star wars universe, etc] of the game - I need a game that provides me with a more social experience and new things to do. It could be slugs in space, but as long as it's feeds my own needs, I'll be happy. I would bet those who enjoy playing this game are doing so for the content and will be playing/replaying it for a long time.
  6. Belsavis is HUGE and boring... what do you expect? About the only time you'll see other players there are level 50's running dailies who aren't already decked out in HM epic's. Of those 8, there may be a few looking for those annoying rakata energy cubes...
  7. I guess nobody's [imperial side] tried to get the datacron on Nar Shaddaa? Balloon ride is nothing compared to beta... now THAT was a long frikken wait.
  8. Nothing new here and in the real world. I usually sell items at a price lower than the average just so I can get it out of my inventory and sold.
  9. I think that's the key point right there - Early MMO's were new and raw - it took A LONG time to do something, to travel anywhere and get the uber epic items in the game [from what I've heard - I never played EQ]. You also were provided with more diversions - crafting, armor coloring, decorating your house/room, etc... little things that kept people busy Same concept with the old school FPS games - you had no maps, no GPS, and you had the choice to take different routes [and find secrets] to get to the final location. Games back then provided more of a mental challenge than today.
  10. I don't think anti-social is the word - I think the game is anti-grouping specifically because the social items are mainly cosmetic. Perhaps they should implement items which are useful to enhance your character's stats - epic trinkets, mods, etc. Those in our guild who have been running the HM flashpoints have already maxed out their characters. And while leveling up - they ran the warzone dailies - so there is little to no reason to warzone anymore either. Guild chat is barren with the occasional "Hey guild" or "Hey - the Blue's Brothers are on tv!". I think Bioware did an excellent job at what they do - provide a unique story for you to play through the FIRST time on each side [imperial and Republic] - this formula works great for the rest of their games, but not so great in a multi-player environment. Hopefully they will work on new content/updates will make it so it's more desirable to group up.
  11. This is true of nearly any modern day themepark type MMO.
  12. As a level 50 op healer - I'd have to say our class is great at single target healing - but difficult to manage for group healing. If everyone in the group plays it smart and knows the OP healer's limitation - then it's manageable. However, it's amazingly frustrating when the crap hits the fan. Level up to 50 and respec to whatever healing spec you like [there are numerous resources available] and see how healing goes in Black Talon Hard Mode a few times in a PUG. If you find healing to still be painful, then switch up to DPS spec and just roll with it until our class gets a little more loving. I honestly feel like I'm a rogue with remote healing packs I just throw at people...
  13. Maybe there are plans to add random encounters or some other use to orbital stations and your own class space dock [area where your own spaceship is stored].
  14. /This is what modern day MMO's are all about. I think a select few people are too reliant upon the game still holding their hand post level 50?
  15. Eh ...I did the same thing for RIFT - I figured I'd be busy for the entire 6 months. A month after I sub'd - I maybe logged in 2 or 3 times during the remaining 5 months.
