  1. I'm pretty sure in the time it would take to do four operations, I could run CZ-198 twice (which is two separate objectives this week for some reason) with a companion set to tank, queue and run Mando Raiders twice, knock out This Will Do Nicely, and turn enough Dark Spores to get the reputation objective. That's almost a full set of weeklies (not even counting conquest that you can work toward doing literally anything). That's the problem. And I like operations. (And since you have to do all four, it's insulting not to give credit for Veteran Mode.)
  2. It's four specific operations, all full ops: Karagga's Palace, Explosive Conflict, Dread Palace, and Ravagers.
  3. Four? You have to complete four operations to get credit? Even with a really good, really fast team, that's a much bigger time sink than any of the other objectives (except maybe PVP, I don't do those), for the same reward (12 points / 15 trophies) as the flashpoint objective. Is this a mistake and you're only supposed to need one of them?
  4. Will the legendary implants be increasing to match the new item level, or are they staying at 334 for now?
  5. They didn't say anything about changing item rating of Legendary implants. Hopefully that'll go up to at least 336 as well, if not 340 (keeping in line with them being 4 points ahead of the rest of the basic gear, and matching R4 operation gear).
  6. It would take some setup – you need to have a ship, unlock enough stronghold rooms, and complete an easy weekly (space missions, e.g.) at the start to unlock the companion and start the reputation items flowing. But if popping a reputation trophy every day is enough to meet the daily/weekly conquest thresholds, you'd get 138 daily objectives × 2 points = 276 points 20 weekly objectives (assuming there's a conquest objective every week) × 8 points = 160 points 20 weekly log-in rewards × 8 points = 160 points That's 596 points, 74.5 levels. (It would be 600 points/75 levels if we hadn't lost two days.)
  7. A couple weeks ago, I was nearing the end of Chasing the Shadow (Republic Black Hole heroic) at daily reset time. I don't notice until I get to the door to the boss and can't plant the bombs because I don't have the mission anymore. If I want to finish the weekly I'd have to go back to base, get the mission, come back, and probably fight through the whole thing again. Screw that, and the whole "missions delete at reset time" idea. (I was also unamused when I got all the missions for the Dark Temple before logging for the night and then the next day I make it to the temple and oops I don't have the heroic anymore. Fortunately I could QT back to the camp, get the heroic, and use its transport to get right back to the temple.)
  8. Despite what it says, you don't need to enter via queue. You can just walk in. And the story mission doesn't even require completing the flashpoint, it completes after talking to Aygo or Ranken.
  9. Why would you assume they'd leave in the ability to get conquest points for defeating enemies far below your level?
  10. You can do Iokath and the story that follows without having done Fallen Empire/Eternal Throne. You can skip to Ossus, which serves as a new starting point, completing the chapters (minus the HK-55 bonus chapter), Iokath, and the three flashpoints. In general, your character's decisions will follow the following rules: Light side for Republic, dark side for Empire Support original faction on Iokath Keep your original companions alive Two specific exceptions/things not covered by the rules (major spoilers): Here's a post from Charles Boyd with more details.
  11. There's one other (fairly minor in the long run) thing and it affects the Trooper (spoilers, but vague):
  12. Can they actually switch, or just take the mirror class (or another opposite-faction class) as their second combat style? My understanding has been the latter, but I admit I'm not sure on that. And being able to switch would be a nice way to avoid "I wanted to play a sorcerer but had to start as a sage and now that's both my combat styles locked in" (whereas if you want to be a sniper you can just choose that from the start).
  13. Tech classes will actually have it easier than Force classes. Jedi and Sith will need to meet requirements to choose the other side's combat styles, while agents/hunters/smugglers/troopers can choose any of the eight Tech combat styles right off the bat.
  14. If you log in and do a daily every day, and a weekly every week, you'll get 41 points per week (8 login + 12 weekly + 7 × 3 daily = 41), which will reach level 100 in week 20. 20 weeks is the bare minimum I would expect the season to last, given the "five months' estimate given above. So, probably, unless the season is shorter than expected.
  15. There are also slicing elevators in Mando Raiders and Red Reaper. Biochem can summon pets in Athiss, and can find anti-venom that lets them get a chest in Hammer Station no one ever goes for because it's well off the path.
  16. It doesn't remember where I moved it between logins. This thing is a nuisance.
  17. Items you win via rolls have a short (2-4 hours) bind timer so you can trade them to your teammates if you want. Once that expires, you can put it in legacy storage.
  18. If Acina died on Iokath, Darth Vowrawn became Emperor by the A Traitor Among the Chiss flashpoint and remains in the role throughout Onslaught. When Malgus was brought back, things were done to him to ensure he wouldn't betray the Empire again. Part of that is mental conditioning, which his stolen medical droid can't correct. He's going to Dantooine in hopes of using what the Jedi used on Revan to fix himself. There are a few random missions scattered about. Nothing related to Malgus yet. Probably either Revan or the Exile, but nothing's been confirmed.
  19. Raina Temple? Or does she not join if you skip over that part of the story?
  20. Torch needs to break out the lawnmower again, because when I ran BH today this bug was back.
  21. Assuming it's still all eleven in rotating order, it seems to be: Nature of Progress Terror from Beyond Scum and Villainy Explosive Conflict Eternity Vault Karagga's Palace Valley of the Machine Gods Dread Fortress Dread Palace Ravagers Temple of Sacrifice
  22. I recently wrapped up Knights of the Eternal Throne with my smuggler, and noted I didn't get an Alliance Alert for Darth Hexid. I had just about convinced myself I had the requirements wrong and already run it when I started Crisis on Umbara and suddenly it was available. "Cool," I thought, "I'll run it after the flashpoint." Nope. After the flashpoint, it was gone again. So I started A Traitor Among the Chiss, and it was back; I grabbed the opportunity and ran it. However it's supposed to work, I don't think that's it. After thinking about it, a possible solution clicked. I had used the holocommunicator to unlock her early, and the times the Alert was available were when she wasn't because I was locked into using a set companion for the story.
  23. An Agent who made a certain choice near the end of their story. The question I'm going to have with my agent isn't why she would go for the Republic, but why Vowrawn would remotely trust her.
  24. I haven't gotten that far yet, so I don't know how exactly it plays out, but I'm going to choose Zash, and if it's an option, escape out of the conversation so I have the chance to get rid of Khem for good a second time. I hate Khem, to the point where after Dromund Kaas I considered deleting my inquisitor rather than playing two more planets with that thing following me around. Fortunately, my main unlocked HK-51 not long after, so that helped.
  25. He's not so different from Ajunta Pall's ghost that Revan met.
