  1. Nay. once CoH went with their micromall i was out of there and I would do the same here. ~FV~
  2. Out of curiosity what are your stats and what equipment are you running with now? ~FV~
  3. I am leveling using the healing tree. I am slow going because I tend to pick up every mission and have a few days off between play times. I have done both missions and PvP to level and enjoyed myself. I basically grabbed a bunch of orange armour and weapons for myself and Aric and do my best to keep them up to date. I then send in Aric and provide heals and damage as needed. In PvP there are times I deliver a lot of heals and damage which has confused a few teammates on what spec I am running with right now. ~FV~
  4. My main is a heal spec Commando and yes, getting jumped by the entire other side is a huge pain in the butt and I have spent some wzs where I was pretty much CCd right out of the action. But not all. I will, on occasion, have a little blue bubble around me and when I do that person will usually receive most of my heals. However, that is a rarity unless I am playing with my guildmates. They do everything they can to keep me up and running because they know it will equal bigger and better things for them and the team. The marks works against a team that does not take the time to think. I was obviously marked in a huttball match recently as I could barely move past the halfway point without being ganged up on by the other team. I popped my shield, broke LoS, ran all over the place, and healed myself as best I could while also throwing heals to the PuG. The other team focused on me so much that we easily won the match. Do I like the marks? not so much. Game breaking? not for me. Should they go away or be limited? If it can be done without impacting their value in PvE. Maybe with them gone people will even be more inclined to actually read Ops chat and that would be really nice in PuG PvP. Either way I will still do PuG WZs and continue to have fun and, for me, having fun is what it is all about (well that and the hokey pokey). ~FV~
  5. I am a sadist so I love the fact that I am dishing out tough love. ~FV~
  6. I cannot wait for more in game options with the armour. I do enjoy what orange pieces I have found/purchased in the Talon set but I am really hoping for more lightweight looking armour to choose from overall. ~FV~
  7. Many issues I have read about and experienced have come down to: Gear: keep it updated. You should have a few pieces of orange that you can modify by now. hit up the vendors and the GTN to updated the armor, mods, and enhancements. Do not forget the weapon stats too (barrel, mods, enhancements). Also: keep it repaired. Your companion should have current gear as well and you should be running with the companion that complements your current goal and play style. Powers. Read the text for each one. Know what happens when you use them. Some will complete the CD for another. Be ready to hit it as soon as you can. Make sure that you bind them to easy to reach keys. Level. Check the level of the quest you are running in the lore. If you see another that is about to grey out, get that done first, you might end up with some kick butt gear or another level. If you are just having issues with a particular boss go and grab a couple of side missions and get another level or two and try again. Check the forums for advice and hit guildmates/friends up for the same. Good luck! ~FV~
  8. I had a reward certificate to use when I bought the game. End result was paying between $20 and $30 at launch. Sales are a good thing and are to be expected. Not sure if it is still true but back when I was selling games the majority of the money that a game made in its lifetime was usually hit around the second or third week. Sale at the 60 day mark make good business sense especially for one that has an ongoing subscription. ~FV~
  9. Depends on the situation to be honest. I have had fights where all I did was heal my damage dealer and it took my full focus to do so. However, for most I do a mix. HIB when I can, sticky grenades, etc. Often I will wait for the companion to engage, mortar fire to clear out the ones that do not matter, and then focus on healing. YMMV. ~FV~
  10. I opted to not go for that look but the first one I found was at a heavy armor dealer on Taris. Of course there is always the market to try as well. ~FV~
  11. I had the jacket drop from a quest turn in on Taris. Picked it up for catguy but yeah, evidently he is not a Trooper. The pants I picked up off of the GTN and I am desperately trying to find the other pieces as well. I like a matching outift. I truly wish that they had allowed us to use a costume creator and then just made the mods as drops. Less Jester and more Super Trooper. ~FV~
  12. I wish I had a gag for every single companion that I have picked up so far in every class that I have played. Just give me an option of: Remove tongue from companions and enjoy the game. ~FV~
  13. I agree and maybe they could have done more by having multiple mission objectives but you and your sidekick were assigned just specific ones. Throughout your mission you could have radio chatter reporting other gunfire and objectives being met. Does not change the balance and makes you feel a part of something larger. Much better than "We'll hang out here while you get shot at and beat up on wannabe Sith and then come in and escort the prisoner/hostage/whatever back." ~FV~
  14. Yup, I threw a Commando helmet on him the other day and the goggles go behind his forehead. I feel sorry for him though, as if his demotion was not humiliating enough... ~FV~
  15. I managed to get some real gaming time in last night and I have to agree with the "it seems smoother". Running with a JKG and I noticed that I was building up my centering a bit more quickly than before and it was due from being able to go from one to the next. Fought a Champion that was a couple of levels below me and had the issue with riposte and with the kick showing that it fired even though it did not animate or have the desired effect. Still, nice change and I am glad they rolled it out right away. Here's hoping that the next patch brings more responsive goodness (and the old animation for GCD, it is beyond annoying). ~FV~
  16. Mac N Mancos at Ocean City, NJ. great pizza plus the boardwalk, beach, and ocean. Wonderful way to spend an afternoon. I did get a chance to play for a few minutes last night and picked a few random low level mobs to jump into. I found that the response is a little better (which is better than no improvement) and that their poor choice in changing the GCD animation is still an issue especially if you are getting near to the end of the GCD time. ~FV~
  17. Hmmm, I really need to get some work done around the house tonight but I guess I can log in for a little bit once I get in from work. Really looking forward to seeing how much it improves my game. ~FV~
  18. Started seeing this on my JKS a couple of days ago. everything appears to craft fine (Artifice) but the error pops up in between crafting assignments. I have not had a critical success in some time but I can RE for new recipes.
  19. You need to go to the conference room on the right side of the ship to talk to Kira. She has a lot of talking to do after Defector. http://www.torhead.com/torhead/images/maps/large/4611686051284471420/map_jedi_consular_starship.jpg When I originally finished the quest I ran right to the bridge since that is where she normally is only to find that she did not have the triangle above her head. ~FV~
  20. I have been running with someone and we have been doing all of the quests including the bonus series so I was at 26 when I hit this fight solo. I was knocked back once and he went down easily and very quickly. My character is a Jedi Knight Sentinel, Combat spec'd. Kira jumped in and I followed behind and just kept building my centering to pop Zen (he managed to last long enough for me to build enough centering once). My gear was a mixture of current orange and green gear with the exception of my pants which happen to be purple. ~FV~
  21. Please, for all that is merciful in the universe, give us a gag for the droid. It is my least fave aspect of the game. I cringe every time I go near my ship or have to send him out on crafting/gathering. ~FV~
  22. I put my sidekick on passive and just stood there and let about 6 of them go to town. Got infected on the second group, 3 minutes total. ~FV~
  23. I am happy with the Sentinel so far. As for not always having those abilities... there are times when we get to show we can use the Force in other ways. I have done the Jedi Mind Tricks and, in battle, take a look around. I had one battle in a hangar where I got to drop equipment on the bad guys. Almost missed it because I did not look up. Then Force Jump in and kick butt. ~FV~
  24. Logged in, walked into an Imp, and smacked him in the face with my rifle to drop him. Yeah, it's good to be a Vanguard Trooper. ~FV~
