Only thing i can think of is mapping Alternate Key Bindings in preferences. Set key presses for what you need.

Not sure if I understand exactly the issue, but I use a G500. I do use Key Bindings for most of the buttons (with the exception of Left/Right click). I bind them to something obscure. For example, the Side Buttons are Ctrl+Shift P,Q,R. Not something you would use with your keyboard normally, but you can map it to different things in game. Under Preferences you can set the Key Bindings for most stuff. Hope this helps!
