  1. Problems: Everyone is going Biochem, because it's the only useful crew skill. Additionally, the entire player base feels that crew skills are boring, and serve no real purpose (except biochem). Solution A: Make other crew skills more interesting, varied, and useful - thereby solving both problems. Solution B: Nerf Biochem, so it's as pointless and tedious as all the other crew skills. This makes the second problem - that there are single-celled organisms on OTHER WORLDS that know that SW:TOR's crew skills are utter **** - even worse. BioWare likes Solution B. This negative approach is why I've cancelled my account. And no, you can't have my stuff.
  2. You edited that post because you pulled a number out of your rear, then after posting it you thought 'nah, they'll never believe that' and lowered it slightly. So, now we have access to even fewer medals, why are you here saying it's fine and bragging about how you average lots of medals? Ah, I see....
  3. You edited it while I was typing the reply. So what you're saying is you averaged 9+ before the medpack nerf... like the rest of us. The whole point of this thread is about AFTER 1.1, and now you're saying you've barely played since. So why the **** are you here posting rhinoceros leavings? Put simply, now you probably average 7+ like the rest of us, while other classes can easily attain 12+ each match. Thanks for further proof.
  4. Okay, lets remove two of the ones you listed - the 2.5k defender and 5k defender. Since they're situational, and require sitting in a spot where you're unlikely to get many of the other medals. Now you average 9+. That means you AVERAGE getting 50+ kills? And 300k+ damage? How about in the matches that end early? Or when your team is outclassed? Seriously, the amount of horsemanure people are bringing out to brag in this thread is magnificent. I also noticed you just EDITED YOUR POST, to say 8+ - a slightly less stupid number. This is pure comedy gold!!!
  5. The simple fact that you screenshotted this, coupled with you bragging about it in /guild suggests that it is not a common occurrance for you. I mean, you produce a screenie of your best result EVER with 9 medals and you think you're disproving my point? You have just made it even more obvious marauders/sentinels need additional chances at getting medals. I see good inquisitors/bh/agents getting 12-14 medals almost every time i group with them. Though I'll admit if it's legit, you've done better than I expect from someone with 3 pieces of pvp gear - though judging by the scrubs in the other team I think I can see why.
  6. Again, please list these 11 medals realistically available to a Marauder/Sentinel in a match. XD
  7. You average? List the 8 medals you 'average'. ^^ I often get 8+ medals myself, but to get that number after 1.1, I need to break 300k damage (which you ain't doing with only 3 pieces of pvp gear, sorry), 75k healing (requires annihilation spec, and you ain't doing that either with your gear, I haven't yet managed it since 1.1 due to the medpack nerf). Or it requires defense/assault medals that are available to everyone else. Now compare this to the 10-12 medals that good players of other classes *really do* 'average'.
  8. Now they've removed heals from biochem medpacks being able to award healing medals, Marauders and Sentinels only have access to one of the 3 main branches of medals - these being damage, healing and shielding. Every other class/subclass can damage/heal, damage/shield or in some cases, damage/heal/shield. Was having heal medals available through biochem really that unbalanced? Considering all healers have access, at the very least, to damage medals as well and are therefore not exactly hard-done-by. I'd like to see the medpacks returned to their former glory, or some new marauder/sentinel medal to put us back in line with the other classes. I don't know, just give us a medal for each lightsaber we're holding or something. xD Things are not right as they are, they were more balanced before the medpack nerf tbh. Medals may not seem like much, but they = valor/commendations, and therefore speed of progress.
  9. Naw, I play Marauder - I'm an effing menace in warzones. The tears flow endlessly. xD Good gear and annihilation spec is all you need. Point-blank 9 sec charges, enough DoTs to kill a rancor and self-healing. You can be a monster too. The only area where we're gimped is in medal collection now, which is a joke. I believe we're the only class/sub-class that can only do one thing now med-pack heals have been removed. Every other class can get damage/healing medals or damage/shielding or even damage/shielding/healing. We get damage only, and we don't even do that best.
  10. Pretending that you're intelligent, and treating others as simpletons when you're utterly incapable of seeing the big picture is laughable. BH/Trooper can just walk slowly through fire and acid taking minimal damage from pitfalls that almost instantly kill the rest of us. Then there's the 'grapple/force pull your enemy to an instant, unavaoidable death' move. How about force rush where you shrug off all CCs and speed off into the distance? AoE Knockback, maybe? where you can launch most of an enemies' team off into the pit, or into fire, or acid. How about simply the ability to heal? Or being able to damage someone at range? or having a spammable AoE damage ability? No, but you're right - this low damage, single-target-melee-tank class being able to charge an idiot opponent standing on the line OR a friendly who is clever enough to be positioned there, is game-breaking. God forbid the poor juggs/guards from being able to carry the ball, and actually having a USE in huttball!
  11. Yep, that's the real problem. Have to drop back to champion mods. Or do PvE too and tear mods out of operation hard mode level gear.
  12. Are the stats on other classes' battlemaster gear as poorly thought out as the Marauder's? Every piece except the implants is Accuracy/Crit with the odd bit of power thrown in. Now accuracy has very little use above 100% for marauders except vs tanks. Offhand accuracy has a negligable effect on our total damage. Moreover, they've piled on the crit - which would make surge the logical stat to go with it. This amount of accuracy is pointless, and power's use is on a sliding scale dependant on crit/surge... Except there is no surge on it, not one piece. If it was on at least one, we could get that piece over and over and switch the mods out to make a full crit/surge set. As it stands, if you want to get surge on your BM gear - you have to switch mods out from leftover CHAMPION pieces, which are needless to say, weaker. Are you happy with the stats on your class's battlemaster gear? tl;dr: Battlemaster itemisation is *********** poor. At least for Marauders. The guy who did the stats for the current 'best of the best' gear should be knockbacked into acid or fire repeatedly for his crimes.
  13. 10/10 troll post. A double-bluffing troller with the ability to make a trolling attempt so obvious, that people can't believe a troll would troll that obviously. Gaining a 90%+ trolling efficacy rating in the process. Sir, I bow to your trollingness and call for a vote to make you Troll King by adoration immediately.
  14. Hi, my main is Runetang (LoLettow) 32 Marauder. PvP is balanced, and I destroy all the classes you list, except occasionally when I come across a very good player. I'm also valor rank 30+ (Gladiator), would be a hell of a lot higher, but I've been away for the past 5 days. I've played a ton of Huttball, and it's my favourite Warzone. Stop stating your opinion as fact. You are a prime example of what makes this forum a mess of badly thought out QQ. You're level 18, don't have most of your abilities (you're probably not even PvP specced: Rage), and you're complaining about balance. PvP in this game is remarkably well balanced, in my opinion.
  15. No thanks, brackets will kill off low level PvP within a few months, just like it has in other MMOs. I'd rather face a few 50s as a lvl 15 than queue for an hour to get into a warzone that gets cancelled after 120 seconds for not having enough people in it. Just adapt your tactics when you're low level, don't go blazing in and getting into 1v1s against high levels.
  16. I also play Marauder (mirror of the sentinel) and can attest to their face-melt-ability. If you're Rage specced, you gain so much mobility and battlefield control, it's obscene. Ranged is fine, leave them unmolested at range and they'll smoke you, get in their faces and you'll tear them apart - the way it should be.
  17. Wow, that was bi*chy. Read what I wrote again, and if you don't realise your first few sentences have no bearing on what I said, you'll show that you don't know jack squat about reading comprehension. I said that healing is weaker in SW:ToR than it is in other MMOs because healing specced classes retain the majority of their damage output (they do, check a few talent trees), as well as, as you point out, their knockbacks, CCs, etc. As for the rest of your post, it's mostly incoherent gibbering, but I get the impression that you think I'm saying that healers are weak in this game. Actually, I'm saying I think healers are fine in ToR, but I suspect you still disagree, which is fine.
  18. At level 12, you don't even have your knockback yet. You'll get torn apart against anyone that you don't get a serious head-start on. Please post a youtube video of you pwning at lvl 12, against good players. I'd love to see how you did it. My Merc got her rear handed to her most of the time 1v1 until she had at least some slightly higher level abilities. Oh, and my marauder often gets outdamaged by bounty hunters in warzones, but I generally consider BHs an easy kill while playing him. Racking up big numbers doesn't necessarily mean you killed anyone, or even contributed meaningfully to their deaths.
  19. Healing is weakish because healing-specced classes tend to retain most of their damage output. Take for example a BH, they lose some damage, control and snaring abilities from the PvP tree, but gain healing efficacy and some area-healing/damage reduction abilities. You make them heal like healers in that other MMO, not only do you have the demi-gods that they were in that game, but they'd have 97% of a non-healer bounter hunter's damage output to go with it. Having a healer killable by a single dps doesn't make the healer useless, that's why tanks are able to shield other classes and take a large portion of their damage upon themselves. Healers are a support class, that are most effective when protected, not immortal PvP gods that can hold a point on their own, and take 4-5 dps classes to lock down and kill. And to the OP: You're saying you completely locked down a healer alone, forced him to burn cooldowns/consumables to survive, you almost killed him - and he just happened to be saved by teammates arriving to help him. And you're complaining that healing is overpowered?
  20. Hello ProfessorWalsh, who are you? I doubt your nearest and dearest give a **** that you're an infallible game critic that sees all and is never wrong, so why you think BioWare or the rest of us do, I can't be sure. By the way, I play a mid-thirties Marauder, and I tend to destroy ranged classes. Yes, including Sorcerers and Operatives, in fact, especially Sorcerers. Sometimes I get beaten by good players, but it's because they're good, not because their class is OP. Honestly, you must be bad to think that melee is bad. Warriors/Knights are the most mobile class, especially in huttball. They slow, they stun, they do a ton of damage and are very hard to get rid of. I expect you're not using the PvP tree (rage), everything you need to destroy is in there. The other two trees are pants for PvP.
  21. Sorcerers are nowhere near OP, they're incredibly weak 1v1, just dangerous if left unmolested. People just get frustrated because there are so many of them standing up high spamming lightning on them while they're trying to fight other people. That and the fact it appears to be a 3 button class. I approve of this thread mocking people who think they're OP.
  22. Yep, and half of those brackets would be empty after a few months, or have 1hr+ waiting lists like in other MMOs that employ brackets. Personally, I adjust my play at lower levels in warzones to avoid direct confrontations with high levels, and have a blast doing so. It just adds another layer of challenge. The bracket system that you desire would pretty much just remove PvP at lower levels eventually. As for pre-made vs pre-made, that may well happen when they bring in ranked matches. As things stand now, it'd be hard to do, as only 4 of the match can be pre-made, the rest are usually randoms. And how would you deal with people joining in groups of 3? or 2?
  23. Lol, funny post, but seriously - knockback is fine. If you're attacking 3 people, then expect to get hit by 3 forms of CC. Sometimes it will be 3x knockback.
  24. So you want a lvl 50 with all filled slots, with full custom/purple armour and weaponry to be the equal of a lvl 10 with missing head slots, ear slots, relics etc. and greens (if that). And if that were the case, you'd be back here at lvl 50 crying that you got your rear handed to you by a naked lvl 10. Just stop and think before you QQ.
