    Gear Disparity

    Returning player from ESO, WoW and DAOC (Rest in piece) and have noticed that the gap in PVP from fresh 70 to those in end game gear is so great there is zero fun or skill based into it. Im struggling, even as a Jug Tank, to stay competitive, comparing myself to other Jugs getting about the same protection I am but literally they deal 5x the damage. Im noting that they are DPS geared, and even then its even more disheartening because they are doing better protection. I dont know how to fix this but gosh darn, bolster was better than this before I left the game. Second, there are a multitude of bugs STILL not fixed, the Force Leap and fall through the earth bug, the "Characters not registering on what level they are" bug so you see them bounce up and down out of the ground and cant do anything to them. And even the Voidstar bug still where you can Op roll over the middle bridge without them being down and plant a bomb as the bridge falls. Do they have no one at all working on things like this? I hate to come back just to be beaten down by it all but... damn... Even WoW's Legion PVP is more fair than this in BGs and WoW's terrible.
  2. Mainly tank in PVP and do some group content, Trying to decide Vang or Guardian. Which has the smoother play style atm to help me get back into the game?

    So we have 8 people in que on our server for pvp, 25+ mins and not even an arena pop... Is anyone else having these issues?
  4. Cool its been fun and all, but you need to change the conquest to reward per WIN so these fail boats that just sit around, no geared, nothing stop queing. They do not CARE at all about pvp they are just there to milk free conquest. Its utterly BAD out there. I don't get to que into your normal raids and dick off, stop getting into our normal pvp and dicking off.
  5. As Mr Fuzzle stated early in this thread, each fight changes what spec is best. Madness however does come out on top for single target DPS https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ao-urXta1qC8dEFNTlMzVnJHVVpDNDUwZ3lmVkVOcWc&usp=drive_web#gid=9 But some mechanics make Lighting worth I, but I DOUBT with the current patch that you will see MANY sorc DPS in NiM raiding due to the survival issues, Armor does not sound like a major factor but it when a Merc or PT will take 16k damage from a TB when a sorc takes almost 30k you start to see that armor is quite a factor.
  6. With the 20% armor buff and Unnatural Pres off GCD.... MAYBE, will have to see. Healing will be in a lot better spot that's for sure. DPS is where Im hoping to see better effects. Only time will tell. I do see Mara's coming back in the picture with better Carnage... that kinda scares me a little. I am a little sad that they have not addressed the double PT teams with AP flamers. Carbonize is fine as the 8yrd range if they REMOVE the pull from them to catch 3 or more in a flamer, But that's for another forum about changing the pull for the jet charge.

I had to switch to another class due to NiM DP mechanics so I do not get 30k blasts when stuff hits the fan. This patch however MIGHT change that with the 20% armor buff and Unnatural Pres being off GCD (about time) So for DPS? Good stop. Survival? We are in trouble. Healing? MIGHT be fixed with this patch, we will see.
  8. No, this is not a creative use of mechanics, this is the cheaters excuse. The same excuse that people try and use when they are busted by the IRS with a Tax "shelter" groups. This is not intended and it is the players choice to exploit it. I hope all those that used it have everything taken including the guild ships as punishment with no reimbursement.

  10. Double PT is kinda nutso for ranked atm, just to good not to use it. One thing that would fix it, and HELP DPS PTs in PVE is switch grappling hook with the jet jump leap thing. No more pulling 2 ppl into another person for carbonize double flamer gimmick. You wont have to lower the range on it if you do this. And yes plz on switching specs for FIRST ROUND ONLY before start or you will run into the voidstar, D up for D and O up for O routine again.
  11. Can we please get an unlock for blaster users? Force weapon users can go with alternate vibraswords and maces. No reason why a PT cant use a blaster rifle like a VG, hell the original Fett used a blaster rifle. I know its a small thing but its something that maybe you can make money on via a cartel coin unlock as an alternate weapon. It will literally change no mechanic but maybe a slight graphics alteration when they use the wrist flamer. ((Reposting this from the other form to here, sorry))

  14. Only class without a mez would be PT, and two base line insta stuns with a base line pull is enough. I always thought that Agent/Smug Mez was a bit much... instant... AOE... Base line... and ranged all in one, and yet they nerf the single target ranged instant that you had to spec into from Inq/Consu, But I do agree that there are to many CCs in game that are instant as is.

    Oh and a quick note, Merc/Mandos suffer with more than one saber user on you. Once Hydro Overrides is over... way to easy to chain root, then stun, then root, then push, then root, then... you get the point.

    As a Merc the only class so far that has given me any issue is assassins, just to many counter CDs to my kite CDs. Veng jugs do not bother me since... leap, kay hyd override and cleanse dots, electro net, power surge, insta TM, HS, insta TM, rail shot, 25% unload. They leap again, pop bubble, when their immunity ends, knock back and start rotation again, by the time they can leap again Hydro overrides is back up. Operatives open up, just use KB then kite away, good assassins though just chew me up with their CDs. Balance/Madness is kinda problematic if they have some LOS tools PTs do not bother me as long as I can create a little distance, cleansing their dots off (Plastique and Insind missle) helps cut down their damage. Maras/Sent I have not fought since the change, Dot protection from them might be problematic. Trick with Mara's is right when you unload, have your stealth scan preloaded and ready to cast, they like to vanish to interrupt it.
  17. Either way Id be interested in some sort of quality of life change for the system itself. Hell even WoW lets you que for a specific map if you don't want the random reward.

We get this, but what most of us want is a system like wow, that takes into account the last few maps you have played, so when you are doing a random, it gives you a less chance to roll a map that you have played out of the previous few. Random does not mean absolute chaotic random, it still can have parameters.to help smooth things out. Edit: And I don't know if that is true either, as some have stated in other posts that hutt ball has smaller odds to pop because some people do not like it as much. I do not KNOW if this is true or not but that means they do not have a fully random system if it is true so they can put factors in on the odds.
  19. OK the tally is in as I wont be PVPing tomorrow, I go back to work from my week off of SWTOR PVP rage fest. The breakdown is VERY sad and wondering if anyone else has come up with these results. Total Games Played from Tuesday till Sunday: 131 Civil War topped the charts at 33 games or 25% of all games played.... BLEH Second was counting all 4v4 maps together at 22 games or just shy of 17% Tied for third and fourth are both Voildstar and Hypergate at 21 games a piece or about 16% per. Fifth was Nov Coast at 14 games or roughly 10% Quesh Huttball is at 12 games or 9% and finally Huttball Pitt at a very small 8 games or 6% total These results are a bit .... much.... as to the randomized PVP ques. The 4v4s, hypergate, and voidstars are floating around the right area, Civil wars need to float some numbers down to Huttballs though and a few more Coasts. Anyone else seem to come up with these results? I wonder if maybe this was a fluke, im going to take another week soon to run the numbers again, ill post more results.

  22. Counted this past weekend from Sat till Monday Games were as followed: Voidstar 9 Civil War 19 Coast 8 Hyper 5 4v4 7 and ANY HUT BALL 4 2 maps for hutball and 4 times out of 52 games? AND 19 Civil Wars? Come on Bioware I am tired of your redundant map after map cause of a randomizer fail, even Rift has a better random gen than this.

Countless posts seem to be conflicting about bolster 30-54 range (And I know the bolster is the same at any range) Im leveling a new char though PVP and want to be effective for the team, Some say to just get all green mods for your adaptive, some say to only get green gear period not customizable, still some say to get blues your level and not purples. Anyone know for sure what the best way is for lowbie PVP leveling?

    Cross server Q.

    That's why every night I see more and more Mod/Light realms instead of Heavy.... Right.... They either NEED to cross q or merge servers again. PVP is dead on most servers from midnight till 6am during the week and that's right in my prime time as well as others.

    No, that is all. Insta WW gave to many solo cap options, 360 knock back needed a cut back because.... 4 classes had it.... and sure ill give you back the 30m stuns when you give PTs back their 30m abilities they lost down to 10... and Im not even playing my PT.
