  5. 'The Purged' Adventures Hey Guys!! My name is Trisskar! I have been a member here since 2006...I think...*Looks at profile* Yes! So! Those of you that has been around for that long will remember the great forum purge here on sw:tor....Wow! Talk about a mad dash to save all of our stories and if you were anything like myself and my friends....we had ALOT. As a result most of our stories were saved in google docs or on our own created forum over at yuku.com. Now I return and wish to share our adventures with everyone who enjoys a good read! Below this announcement is a quick nod of recognition to the players that has stuck around and shared with us some great adventures! Thank you so much guys and can't wait to see where our team will find themselves next! The next post below is a list of all of our stories. This list will link you to our off-site locations such as google.docs The Archives & Evil Hat Association Please be aware that our list is rather extensive. Some are complete works, some are still in the works, some are not available for view yet and some...some sadly vanished when the forum here was wiped clean. I will do my very very best to work quickly in linking as much as I can and providing the descriptions to the title. But as I am sure you might guess...this could take some time >_< So please hang in there!! Other then that...I do hope you all enjoy the read! Please feel free to leave us comments! We love hearing from our readers! May The Force Be With You! ------------------------ Trisskar Vandar Arik Vandar Bryen Nargon Setie Kalenath
  6. No no....it would be OPTIONAL so say you have a close friend that is on a different server that you dont mind having that information (I have several) then you can share it and stay in contact no matter the server. Optional...not Mandatory ((And apology>_< the forums have changed around so much I forget where things are >_< Admin obviously can move if they desire...Apology once more))
  7. The /Friend option Really, really, really needs some tender love and care! Currently as it is you can only friend player toons on your server. I feel there should also be an option to friend user ID's so that we can talk to our friends cross server. I have several friends on other servers that I would love to chat with as I go about my questing.... So instead of friending "Trisskar" I would friend xxxuserIDnamexxx@gmail.com as example
  8. I didn't even know what Valor was good for until just recently...and i still dont quite get all the loops of it. I played warzones because it was fun, I enjoy meeting new people in game (When they are being friendly instead of PVP schuttas....) I enjoy running around and having epic duels and battles with other fellow players on the other side. I enjoy the stories and personal experience these little mini games create (Got to carry the ball over the line twice for my first time yesterday!!! Woot!!! yes im new-ish to warzones...sue me. 17valor here... ) Everything else...Valor...gear...badges...rewards....faeries and rainbows...are just fun little doodads to enjoy afterwards. If you dont get it *Shrugs* maybe next time.
  9. You need money to send companions out for lock box's, so you have to do more then just pop on and send them out while running about the house with kids. Thats what were having problems with.....getting the money in order to do that. I don't have crafting....they are all Slicing/Treasure hunting/ Archeology. I have yet to find their use. Most the lockbox's that come back to me from slicing are credits that are less then I paid to send a companion out to get it. So i lose profit there....not gain it. Being a casual player and running around with kids I don't have time for daily space missions. Nor do i have the credits to upgrade my ship. It's just a viscous cycle that really shows that this game is designed around more hard core players then us parents looking for a quick 20min downtime before life goes crazy again.
  10. I try and play for fun, I WANT to play for fun...but the pvp & wz is so overloaded with elitists that it kills the fun...being called an idiot and a n00b simply because you dont have top skillz, fancy tactic, and special knowledge on all that is PVP..... is really a huge downer.
  11. What I dislike is that it makes PVP and warzones an Elite thing instead of a fun game that we can all enjoy. Im new. I admit that...I have played EQ and WoW and know my way around MMO's, I can even hold my own in battleground very well on WoW and make for a decent DPS hunter. But that dosn't make me at all perfect and knowledgeable to everything. I am a casual player, (two kids and life) there for I have no idea what the other class' can and cannot do, ive not played them, how the heck am I supposed to know what to look for and how to react? I dont have the time to study this as if it were my lifes work, and learn better by experience, trial and error. And so what? I shouldn't play? i shouldn't enjoy a game I paid for? I shouldn't attempt to learn through jumping in and trying? And when you do jump in and try...you get swamped by a lvl 50 char and die instantly. I've spent more time re-spawning at the start point then I have learning how to help my team because everyone is far more advanced then i am. And then dare you ask a question? Ooooh.....bad bad on me for not reading the codex my first time and asking a simple question.... Wow.... talk about the blasting, insulting, and rude comments i got for THAT one. It really is unfair and has turned into an elitist group depending on elite skillz in order to survive the game instead of players having a friendly bout against eachother *shakes head*
  12. Such a good question I am a mom of two beautiful daughters under 2years, its alot of work keeping up with them, plus the house, and everything else....i can't play TOR the way i would like to play TOR. Im forced to be a casual player. Due to this even with beta & early registration I am still only on my first toon at a whopping 37level. And i am ALWAYS broke. I have had to get help from guild members on a number of occasions and have done alot of research on getting credits to help me. I don't want top gear, I just want something to get me to the end. I don't need fancy items, just enough to enjoy the story....And I cant even do that. Everyone says that slicing is the credit maker, but it takes credits to send your companion's out (I started way to late on my slicing due to lack of knowledge, now the planets I grind are too high for me to forage slicing on my own...) So, after sending companions out, paying to repair my crappy items, and training my skills...im left with nothing for updated gear. And THEN people say that we should penalized MORE for dieing. <(0_0)> I die because I can't afford updated armor! Why should I be penalized for being poor? Working the market dosn't work because I am not on enough to do so. Selling loot items doesn't work because most items is junk and the market is still fluctuating ALOT due to being so new a game. So....how do us casual players survive end game? what is the trick that we seem to be missing?
  13. So..I log on TOR to show my brother in law a bit of the game. He asked if you could PVP...so I qued for warzones. Never played before save a brief time with my SI. So im still learning the ropes.... we all had to at one point. While running about trying to defend the ball carrier my Brother in law and husband noticed that some of the players i was up against were much higher level then me, and some even in their 50's! Now...I know that there is...something...that balances it out, but again, as i said...im still new in the world of Hutt Ball and couldn't explain it. So I asked in group for a brief explanation and was told to check my codex...(which I agree I can deff do when I have the time) ....then they proceeded to calling me an idiot, and a ruin of the game, and other foul things. Next thing I knew...I was kicked out of the game in the middle of things and booted all the way back to fleet (I was on DK originally) CAN people kick you from huttball? <(0_0)> Kind of a stupid thing to kick someone over if so... And who can help me understand this level thing in a constructive manner? Any info would be appreciated as I really do like huttball and would like to become better at it
  14. I always read/prefered the New Jedi Order, Fate of the Jedi books...which are far after TOR :-p But Id imagine getting and reading all the Revan books would be a great start I also hear the best way to get background story for TOR would be to play the old "Knights of the old Republic" as TOR is heavily based on that.
