  1. My apologies, but no. I know you were not talking about me. I was referencing your comment about people quitting or putting the game down. You are describing what I am contemplating due to the cheating.
  2. I recently got a new computer after having to sell mine years ago and the first game I downloaded and installed was this one. I never loved MMO PvP other than this game. I used to destroy people in PvP, but lately I feel so bad at it and idk why. Just got out of a match where we destroyed a team on Yavin like 350-0 and one person said "they are dsync cheating and it is not even helping lol". I kindly asked what they meant, but they never replied. I found your post immediately... I am the person you just talked about. Why do I want to continue to pay $15 a month for a game that cannot even be played fairly?
  3. This isn't the correct name for a Ninja, but we were on Cademimu and I was DPS and the other sorc was a healer. He died by standing in the fires at the end like an idiot. The main boss only had half his health gone. I had to try to heal and protect the Tank, heal him, and dodge fire, all while being specced into madness! Needless to say, we won and I didn't even get a thanks, but instead, the good for nothing healer needed on the other willpower item and got it. DID NOT DESERVE IT!
  4. Requirements: 70 Valor - This high requirement makes sure that the player KNOWS PvP (if you don't know PvP by then, then god help you) and has dedication somewhat to PvP. 6 Months of being a Subscriber - Shows you are dedicated to this game. If a F2P wants to "troll" or abuse the system, they could without this requirement. This requirement would hopefully push out those who realize that messing with this system is not worth it. If you can think of any more, then please do say so! Abilities: 100 Stealth Level and a consistent ability that the Shadows and Assassins have where they are immune to battle for a few seconds. 200% speed - Allows a player to move around easier. /stuck moves them close to objectives - On maps like Voidstar and huttball, one can see where most of the action takes place, thus catching the ones who are ruining the game the most. For maps like Civil War and Hypergate, it will move one to the closest action. This can be adjusted. Tag - Allows the Police Player to tag a player who they believe to be breaking rules. At the end of a match, the player must fill out a form on EACH player they tagged, giving exact information as for why they tagged them. This also allows them to cancel tags they may have done in accident or take back. Filling out the paperwork for a ticket if you need an analogy. These tags will go straight to the PvP department as high priority and will be looked at first over normal reports. Reasons for tagging - Abusing bugs, hacking, and for minor infractions of poor choice of language. Players who purposely do something to hurt their team can be voted to kick off and the Police Players have nothing they can do about it. For example, not playing the strategy set, staying near base and leaving to leach medals, etc. If I can think of anything else, I will add it, and I may make a new thread with this information much readily available then throughout a whole thread. We just need to keep this bumped and available to others.
  5. Damn straight it is. >:[ Every time it comes up, I seriously throw a @#$%& fit. Oh well.
  6. I'm a hundred percent behind this. Many of the biggest gripes is that: (1) Not enough people to police the match. Think about real police. Are there enough to catch all the speeders? No, but there is enough to make me worry enough to not speed. They don't even need to be there to put enough fear into some so they don't do it. Kind of like the FBI. (2) They will report those who are innocent. This could be a problem - if the "police player" had powers. Honestly, two things should be done to this "Police Player". (1) Make them invisible to EVERYONE. No one could know this player was there, just like those cops hiddne behind signs. This should, keyword should, put the fear into some not to do it, and those who are foolish enough to think they aren't being watched, will fall. (2) Allow them to have a direct access to an available GM, but no other powers than that. Or if anything, "tag" a player, and make it where it can't be accidental, and this player is put on a "watch list". Make it where this position cannot be abused.
  7. The problem is the recruit PvP gear is not better than really good PvE gear. As one of our fellow players has stated. However, WH PvP gear will always out perform a player in good PvE gear. The other problem is when someone who isn't wearing either or and is causing a massive hole in the team. Honestly, the rule should only be allowed for Ranked. I love PvP as it is my favorite part of this game, but I realize some do not want hardcore PvP. I would for one add the expertise requirement to Ranked, and I know those in good PvE gear may cry foul. To prevent the risk of some fool ruining a ranked game, some also will be hurt. IF you really, really badly want to play with the big boys in PvP Ranked, then go get WH from unranked. I for one wouldn't hop into your HM Ops without the correct gear, would I?
  8. I think I might go along with this data. I will go into a warzone and count at the end of the WZ the classes for each team and count mirrors together. Maybe then we can see a certain fluctuation. I will do this for a month.
  9. Graph format. Best I could do: Smash is OP. From this data you can make two hypothesis. (1) More smash hits is because the skill is OP and does not require a skilled or geared player to do. (2) There are more Smash hits because of more Juggs. I'd be interested in helping with this data.
  10. Hopefully the Class would be neutral. WE CAN PLAY HUTTS :,D
  11. Remember people complaining about people using the Pre-order crystal. "NO BLACK ISNT A COLOR THIS IS DUMB" "I will kick any noob from my party who uses it." lol.

    MVP votes

No, absolutely not. Sometimes, I am the best on my team and we lost horribly due to a horrible group of players not caring to win. No one was MVP to me, so no one gets a vote.
  13. Game menu -> Preferences -> User Interface -> Conversation -> Uncheck both "Show conversation gain on mouseover" and "Show conversation alignment gain". This allows one to make a choice without the constant knowledge of dark or light side choices. I found it quite odd in a FP when people were asking: Light side or dark side. I was an agent and my duty is to finish the mission... What side is that? This is in no way bashing those who want to stick to only one side, just a hint for those who want to stick to a certain personality or character.
  14. I have yet to find one. Would like one though.
  15. I am glad you agree, but I assure you. The terribads are and are loud enough on my server, Ebon Hawk.
  16. Hey guys! I probably have enraged you and you want to tell me I have no clue as to what I am talking about! Maybe I don't! That is why this is opinion and perspective. From what I have noticed, BW did not intend every Tank, DPS, and Healer to be the same type. That would honestly make the game dull for me. For example, I'll take our Smasher! Once he gets within range and his rotation has started, he or she can easily take out half of your health within a matter of seconds. I for one have experienced this. But notice they can only do this from short range! (No **** sherlock, amirite?) What does that have to do with anything? Well I have also met another class that can do the same... but from farther range. It is called a Sniper. Bomb set. Ambush. Another probe and effects have gone off within 5 seconds. Why don't we complain about them? Maybe because they are super squishy? But that is compensated with distance from the target. Like a sniper should be. And just like a Jugg is close range, he has to take some damage to hold his own. I am sure many of you are new and think I don't make a sound argument, but I remember 1.0. I was in Beta. I remember starting up my Powertech with Taugrim's build and laying the boom with a literal FULL Tank/DPS Machine. Not a hybrid. FULL Tank AND DPS. I could pull you and stun. I could leap to you and stun. I could cc you multiple ways! Add on to that, that I could also pop off my most damaging hit like there was no tomorrow. BW actually nerfed us because we were OP, not someone who is a DPS fighter who you let get into their range of fighting. If you want to kill a sniper and make it uncomfortable? Get in close range to them. Want to kill a Jugg? Go long range. We can keep complaining about how "strong" a class is compared to others or you can find the weaknesses. As a Shadow, which cannot really do much long range, I realize that this isn't my fight to win, so I must run. This game isn't built for every class to 1v1. Get over it. /endrant
  17. I might just be stuck in the old ways. Too much disrespect of other players and "Trolling" is now so much fun for some, its not even annoying, its just lame.
  18. Well I can see your point, but hopefully a lvl 45 knows how to do combat somewhat and doesn't have the attitude I described. I have played 50 on the Empire, which like I stated, I believed was fine. I could be wrong like someone else said. But I have only started building my Republic side so no 50's yet. I guess I have something to look forward to, no? However, if the thread about people going in with no expertise is true and as bad as he says, I could just be sorely mistaken and expect the same things.
  19. My time in 50 WZ has nothing to do with the matter. If it was the only thing needed to make my points valid, then you need to realize that there is also a second warzone for 10-49. For Alts... which you know... I use... I mean just now, we got 3 capped on Alderaan for 50% of the match. No one was communicating properly, and the guy defending the turret never yelling incoming or payed attention to a stealth cap. It doesn't help that at the end he tells us we can still win if we 3 cap, but when we inform him we can barely hold one, we won't 3 cap, he proceeds to start saying horrible things to others. Of course, he will be allowed to do so because the Developers left us a long, long time ago.
  20. You know, I have been on The Ebon Hawk since the game first came out. I joined with a guild and then went on a 6 month hiatus. When I was first in SWTOR, everyone communicated. Everyone tried to win, knowing that winning granted you more XP, Valor, and Comms. Plus people liked to win. I played both Republic and Empire. Now I come back. It is 1.6. The Empire still has some good PvP teams. People are shouting and hollering strategy and incoming battles. It reminds me of the old times. I then come back to the Republic side. Words cannot express the idiocracy, arrogance, and lack of respect the PvP aspect on this side has become. First off, I cannot count the amount of times players who are lvl 40+ are not even trying to do the objective, which in turn gives you Medals which equal more commendations. They are just walking around, standing still in fights, and telling me to get over it and the best of all: "Who cares." When did The Ebon Hawk become so disrespectful? I also get a lot of people telling me that they only do PvP for farming of Comms for other things and that once they get what they want, they won't go near PvP. They also tell me that The Ebon Hawk is a RP-PvE server and that I should go to a PvP server if I care so much... Personally, when I quest, I don't want to be ganked. If I want PvP, I also want structure. Which is what a warzone gives me. In case I go on a rant, here is where that logic is completely illogical: The server type does not have any influence on a warzone. The server type only applies to the open world. Normally, when I quest I am in a very lax mood or are trying to complete a story arc I am interested in. I do not want to be jumped, ganked, or leveled unexpectedly while doing so, just like most people on the server. However, I do not hate competing against other players. Warzones are the exact same per server and are there for others to test their mettle against each other. PvE or PvP, your attitude to open world fighting does not belong in Warzones. And no, don't even start on how I should do Ranked. Ranked PvP is for 2.5% of all eligible character levels. Your logic is that if I want competition, I need to do Ranked, because that means something and unranked is not a competitive arena( Wat.)... No. PvP is competitive if it is unranked or not. You have an objective; complete it. I understand people have their own playstyle. No one wants to be told how to play a game that they bought. But I never in my mind would want to go into a HM Op with greens because 1) I would be ravaged and severely detrimental to my task. 2) My team would be very upset and would want me removed. I am not taking their Op seriously and need to min/max better and become more familiar with the Op. Out of respect, I would go and learn more before I ruin their fun as well. Sounds like us WZ to me. I will deal with the honest lack of respect and dignity from half of this PvP community, but once I get the chance, I am transferring servers. I know some of you say good riddance. Yeah, I guess so.
  21. First let me say, do not let the low level fool you. I have done PvP with my level 31 Trooper and my level 45 BH (where half of his levels came on the battlefield). I am no noob to strategy and communication, nor am I a noob when it comes to 1v1 or AoE. Now that that is out of the way, Hi! I am an alt shadow trying to find a permanent guild to reside with to do PvP and soon, ranked PvP. Mostly, a guild that is active, talkative, and LOVES PvP. I, like most PvPaholics on Ebon Hawk, am tired of getting stuck with crappy teammates who believe that since this server is RP-PvE, they do not have to try at all in PvP Warzones. (We should join their Ops with greens ) Anyways my alt is ATM lvl 14 but growing fast. Already have my level 20 armor set and working on my 30 now. Message me here or mail me in-game. Name: Yanu.
  22. Your HP falls much quicker due to the fact they can hit you hard and you can't defend yourself. In reality, the 16k with expertise is like the 28k without. However, the extra damage boost you get helps your team more. You can't win by yourself. A good player WILL lose with a bad team.
