Light side points for helping soldiers desert...I mean really?

With all the Legacy talk, what level is yours anyway?

With all the Legacy talk, what level is yours anyway?

I won't be farming, I will be studying the system, striking to achieve (at least that's how I see it) and I really like to see bars go up, and shiny messages telling me how good I am (even got a program that tells me I'm awesome when I use it) -

I see your point though I like to think that I am better than that, I think of it more as working towards your goal, it is much more satisfying if you had to work really hard than if you got it on a silver plate -

I like the feeling of progression I get when I level up and earn a new skill, and I assume it will be the same with the perks in the legacy system, therefore I vow to remain level 1 legacy until the system is in place -

Level 1 with zero legacy xp, I decide to play on another server and then harvest the legacy benefits step by step instead of being max legacy level when it is implemented -
But while such a system might be effective it would also defeat the purpose of defining your character through dialogue(and the light/dark system) I think that with the way the current system is built there is no way Bioware can do as you suggest without drawing major criticism from the RPG fanbase.

Pretty darn well said, I applaud the clarity of your message, and while some may disagree(it's ok if you do, I don't mind) this is exactly how I feel.

You Point out something fairly valid, that voice acting Ddoes not effect gameplay, I believe that is correct, however voice acting might influence the experience of the game. The thing about TOR that has me hooked, is the feeling that we are dealing with real people with real problems, that we are facing an actual(although a bit static) world. And thus it is no longer a matter of gathering "10 thingys" but rather about helping a man provide for his family, or perhaps winning an actual war by collecting the 10 thingys, so the focus is moved from the act of gathering the things, to the motive.

You are going I want something with salt for continuous gaming, yet it must also be delicious, but cannot make a mess, personally I prefer salt crackers, or biscuits that you can eat without spreading crumbs, add coke or some delicious sugary drink with caffeine and you are ready to rock(that's how I do it, albeit with diet coke instead, and it works great for me, not too much fat or anything unhealthy ( I'm 180 tall and weighs 55kilo, so I'm not fat))

It is all about priorities. You can't go because I isn't your number one priority, even while filling a job you can call in sick(most places anyways) or you can work more instead, alternatively you could read the OP and conclude that even some of those not present might contribute while watching/using the live stream

Nearly 2 months in and not a single 'Event'
shinyelf replied to WutsInAName's topic in General Discussion
But still, Tabula Rasa? That game was a bad experience for me, it came out while I was relatively new to the MMO genre, and since Mister Garriot was somewhat acclaimed I chose to play it, sadly it disappointed badly, and I decided to try out WoW instead, which was fairly good except for the hollyday things, damn those things were bad, people running around hunting for Easter eggs to get an item they would use once and then stick in the bank account. I would rather have something that was worth revisiting, and wasn't just the something year after year(just don't know what it is, but I really hope BW figures something out. -

Richard Garriot? That was the guy behind Tabula Rasa right? -
Stop adding content with with no system to give us access...
shinyelf replied to Reevax's topic in General Discussion
There is some truth to what you say, but that argument is a blade that cuts both ways, I don't want to reschedule, just so that I can cater to your needs. That puts us in quite a dilemma, seeing as I won't cater to you, and you won't cater to me, what to do then? The answer is compromise, this is an MMO, if you ever bother reading the ESRB rating and reasoning then you would discover that they do not rate online interaction, that is because you experiences while online may differ greatly. The onli way to ensure a nice online interaction is to meet each other half way(or close at least) and try to help out when needed, instead of just rage quitting because people are being human. Have a good day -
You are quite simply wrong, they did not try to make a PvP game, they tried to make a story based MMO, and that cannot be achieved through PvP. As for the rest of you problems: They are apparently implementing an LFG system Test servers are working with the UI Last but not least I don't care about your mods at all, many mods make the game too easy, and is not necessary(some mods help the RP community, but I think they'd rather have bubbles before mods) Hope that answered all of your questions/problems. However is it did not, then it is just too bad, cause I can't be arsed to respond a second time

They are probably trying to fix it as we speak, until then you have to do it the hard way an finish those missions, shouldn't take long seeing as you are level 50

So i dont pay 8.99 to stand on the fleet all day? is there...

I would like to open my response with a quote in three parts, two of which are relevant, while one is redundant. "Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination"(Brandon Sanderson. The Way of Kings) The relevant parts are the one about life and death, and the one about journeys. Basically they mean the same, it not a about getting anywhere, but rather about enjoying the journey. That is also the advice I want to give you, enjoy the game, stop and smell the flowers, stop being in such a hurry for more things to do. And when you think the game offers you nothing more, grab a cup of coffee(or whatever beverage you enjoy), sit down and relax -
We Danes dont need our own server, there are 5,8 million citizens in Denmark(from Wikipedia) and I doubt a lot of those play. BW shouldn't need to implement additional servers, unless it is directed as a nation that uses their own unique language, and since Danes is among the best countries when it comes to speaking English there is no need. Italians could use their own server since many Italians don't speak English at all. I'm a Dane myself

The point of correcting you was to state that it is your "advanced class" not advanced skill, that makes it fundamentally different. It would help you greatly to simply change your perception, so that "advanced class"="class" you might share an ability or to, but if you were to compare the merch and the powertech to each other they have completely different functions, and play very different too. To make a comparison to WOW it would be like changing from a shaman to a warrior, very different style. And I feel pretty sure that the devs won't respond in any way, except by closing the thread, seeing as there is so many better worded and better written in the forum

Personally i think a "hardcore" gamer is someone who plays goal oriented and efficient(cashman gamers can play fast too, bur that is the exception rather than the norm) while casuals play for fun. Ond of my favorite examples stems from command and conquer 3, where a friend of mine, and myself were playing against a couple of bots, now my friend rushed the one closest to him, and ended it quickly, while i opted for sine fun, i built around a hundrede jets, while i kept my bog supressed, and the when my jets darkened out the sun i griskhed the bot(who had / aa turrets and a couple of missile troopers) now, i couple have done this fast and simple, but i figurer it would be more fun, unlike my friend who left the game before I had built all of the jets. In my opinion he was too goal oriented, too focused on moving on, while I choose my kind of fun, a crushing victory, now perhaps this is not the best way to judge someone, but it is my way(feel free to disagree)

I agree that we should make it simple, and i understand that my idea is quite a bit down the road should it ever be implemented, but i like the idea of having a area for player against player duels, that might later evolve into some "Arena" like thing, but with different areas, so that it was not only about using you skills, but also about using them with the terrain, crossing a chasm with force jump, or stunning someone in the middle of a jump, causing them to drop a bit. that kind of thing would be cool, and id love to see it, but i wont hold my breath
-
i like the idea of an elevator, but how about you make several arenas with spectator seats? some areanes that is netrual, some that favors ranged, some that favor melee, and some that favors stealth? like a holo chamber or something

RE. The Teleportation debate a few pages back i would like to mention electron jumps(is that what you call it in english? i dont really know) the process in which an electron changes speed without accelerating, thus some sort of teleportation is achieved(As far as i understand, im no physics professor) this does however require the electron to hit the right frequency for some light or something, no entirely sure, but check out wiki if you are interested

there are those who assume that Revan travelled to Dromund Kaas, where he encountered the emperor, then later on he would return to known space and start the war, hoping to manufacture an army great enough to oppose the Sith. Therefore, war.
